As much as everyone wants Ashley out, I think we need to be careful what we wish for,
Dont you think if there was a rich Arab or Russian wanting to buy us something would have happened by now as it has been openly Known that He will sell up if he gets a decent offer.

The last thing we want is an owner like that loon that's got Cardiff or the one that has Hull, Who are both changing names, colours etc.

At the end of the day we are in the top half of the league and hopefully with some signings in the summer we can push higher next season.

Just my opinion

Bradyb1

1.) The big problem is Ashley's asking price for the club. His failure to perform proper due diligence on the clubs books has cost him more than he had accounted for.
Ashley is believed to have asked the current City owners for between 400-450m before they bought city.

2.) Brady let's cross that bridge when we come to it
Ashley is hated and needs to leave Newcastle United as soon as possible to give this club any chance of any breathing space
If you recall John Hall said Ashley was the best thing that could happen to Newcastle united because he understood football and having empathy with Newcastle people
And wanted to make this club great

We all know what happened John Hall took is money and ran never looked back and we been stuck with Ashley since then so if and when any new owners come in they come in on their terms not our terms

3.) Spot on Geordie toon. And I understand your point bradyb.

The only way Ashley's asking price will go down, is by not spending any money on the club and selling our most valuable players.

Rangers will be in the top division in Scotland soon, that may also lower Ashley's asking price a tiny bit, as I think they are the more cheaper and attractive club (they will get CL) and he will want to snap them up before anyone else does.

But every rich businessmen out there who might be looking to buy a football club, should know by now that the expectations of the fans are very high (as they should be for NUFC) so I hope that may put any "Vincent tan" off.

This summer we will know what Ashley's personal ambitions are. If we stick with pardew but STILL makes a profit on selling and buying players, or perhaps not spending any money at all, then I think he will leave within the next 3 years, if he sacks pardew, and gets a new manager and makes a net spend then I think he will be here for a while, UNLESS he receives a very high offer to sell the club

4.) I have already posted Ashleys interests in Rangers, I also posted that he might sell up in the summer. These things are out side of our control! However as fans we can kick up as much fuss as we can to at least get rid of Pardew. I have already stated that I don't really care if Ashley stays or goes in the short term. The fact is a better manager would get more out of the players we already have

5.) Exactly jimmy, at least Ashley would know our feelings about pardew if we try and do something to get him out

6.) Yes, we'll know in the summer! So does anybody believe that Pardew's comments today about how Mike and the board are all agreed, possibly, that a stronger squad is the way forward, means we'll actually make the necessary signings? Or was he just talking his usual (insert your own description here 'cos Ed quite rightly deletes profanities). My guess is one free (Colback?) and one last-minute loan, with our returning loanees being 'like new signings'.

7.) I know imagine getting an owner who changed the name of the stadium to advertise his other interests at least with Ashley that would never happen.

If moyes gets the bullet, would you take him at SJP?

Bradyb1

1.) I already posted that it wouldn't surprise me if this happened.

{Ed025's Note - i think he meant the exeter one.. :)

2.) No, he plays boring football. We want a top young, modern coach (probably foreign) who can get us playing again. Not a dinosaur like moyes.

As baines said under martinez they tend to think what they are going to do to the opposition rather than under moyes where they were more focused on how to defend against the opposition

3.) Pardew isn't going to resign, and Ashley isn't going to sack him. Why would he pay Pardew off and risk anyone else when Pardew does what Ashley wants? Face it, as long as Pardew keeps Newcastle in the PL, he's going nowhere

Really don't see the point of this post,
We're sitting 7th and we've just beat the champions at old trafford first time since 1972,
Pardew manager of the month, Krul player of the month,
what difference do you think a change of manager will make?
They will still be under Ashley with the same budget.
