Merinio Lascelles Ritchie playing some great football and the conflict between Ashley the manager fans and everyonr else as he tries to annoy and undermine everything the the manager has done with honest skilful wanting to play for this club players.

Long way to go but the Fat one is laughing knowing there is 170m TV money fot him.

As must know taking each game at a time is essebtial to allow the dust to settle.

Theres no big egos in this team, and they all listen to rafa and believe in what he wants us to do.

Another great team performance, work rate was very good once again. Need to be much more clinical, joselu should have had a hat trick.

Perez was good I thought ey art/vida

Perez in this team is a lucky lad
He did OK just think what a better player could bring to this team, he is OK but just that.
At times we were 2nd best but we won
Look at the table because it will not last however Rafa's involvement is immense

Good results so enjoy it but don't get carried away just yet as you have done in the past.

Perez did well as they all did
Great result, let's hope it continues.

One thing you can say about this current crop of players we have now, regardless of whether its good enough or not, is that the players clearly care for us, the manager and each other. Everyone works hard for each other its almost alien to us we've had so many years under pardew/mcclaren/carver with squads that are full of mercenaries

Seems that way give it a few weeks befire we jump up and down Stoke will be a lot harder
but definitely more positive
Be hapoy man you deserve it.

Agreed stoke will be very tough wouldn't be surprised if we drew, they're hard to beat and have plenty of talent going forward with Jesé, Shaqiri and choupo moting.

Swansea had a few as well but they were cancelled out.

Hughes has built a team of battlers based on his own game and they will be coming for points.

Would be ideal to see Merinio and Shelvey playing with Merinio in the Perez position and some work on the training pitch with Atsu and Murphy would be a good thing.

The full backs are fine but perhaps Clark (not that he is bad) can be replaced by our recovered CB.

Seems off the pitch the team are pulling in one direction.

If we're going to stick Shelvey in play him no10 imo and Merino alongside Hayden, Merino much more disciplined and far better work ethic.

Yes much stronger formation which wull he needed agaunst Stoke and means Perez is in the bench.

Joselu looking very good at 5mil, shows that price tag doesn't mean everything, chasing down constantly very pleasing to see.

Liverpool damn her and a decent Rafa fan as well. I would like to know from you and Ed01.
What will happen to Rafa. I have kept a agood record of the transfer window so far and you have not improved one bit this season ( I am sorry ) Rafa is a good manager and you should be lucky to have him. His teams are very hard to beat and he slowly gets his team play the way he wants to play.

Do you guys see Rafa leaving midway through the season?

Cheers

{Ed001's Note - if he can get someone to pay the release clause enshrined in his contract, he will leave. He is not enjoying working with Ashley and Charnley at all. They broke their word to him and made some stupid decisions with regard to limiting the maximum amount they would spend on one player.}

Thanks Ed01. I feel sad it's a ground that fills in 50k people weld in week out! Rafa is a perfect solution for New Castle. He is still regarded very high across Europe and could actually bring in some good names on his own!

Do you think west ham could look into him mate?

{Ed001's Note - they have tried to get him before, so it is possible. Palace is another possible option.}

06 Sep 2017 22:20:04
Don't forget the rest of Europe
Only his family in Liverpool keeps him in the UK.

{Ed001's Note - he would prefer to stay in England to be near his family, as Montse will not go with him when he goes elsewhere and he finds that really hard being away from her.}

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Sep 2017 16:29:13
Yes I said that.

{Ed001's Note - where did you say that?}

07 Sep 2017 19:56:52
Ed was at a meeting a week ago
An ex player told me prior Rafa is happy in UK becuse his family is settled, yet the concensus was if things go against him at Newcastle and unless a club who will allow him to manage his way and support him he will consider managing outside tge PL.

{Ed001's Note - ah ok, sorry didn't know you had already said it. His wife is a legend in Liverpool mate, she does massive amounts of work for charity with no spotlight on it at all. Lovely lady and I fully understand why he wants to be near her.}

Firmly installed as rekegation favourites
Some clubs relieved Ashley has no football sense and only need stay out of the other 2 drop positions.

Absolute joke I'm sick to death of this and I'm sure rafa is as well. Predict him to walk out within the next week.

Ashley is prepared to back Steve mcclaren with 80 million yet won't sanction a loan deal for Matt Targett for Benitez, explain that.

Also pundits now sucking up to arsenal fans saying how hard it is for them with their owners and wenger, think how we've been feeling for the last 8 years.

Sick of it.
