I really shouldn't be telling you this but here you go, call this a gift.

On the goalkeeping front NUFC are not looking to bring anyone in as they have a lot of faith in Jak Alwnick to step up if called upon. The club are confident they can keep Tim Krul and are happy with Rob Elliot's performances and apparent reliability.

The club are happy with the competition at full back and will not look to replace Danny Simpson. James Tavernier is considered his replacement and will be more involved with first team duties next season as back up to Debuchy.

Centre back is a difficuilt one to predict. Cardiff pulled out of the Mike Williamson deal so the Douglas deal was/is delayed. The press stating that Kinnear had pulled the plug is incorrect for the most part. Mike Ashley will not sanction a deal for a first team player when there are already enough players of that position within the club. If Williamson leaves then Douglas may come in but more likely it will be a young CB with bags of potential as Douglas doesn't want to wait around.

Midfield is much the same. Unless there are outgoings there won't be any incomings. Alan Pardew hopes to be able to give Vuckic and Inman more playing time this season. The only players that may leave will be on loan and the club are actively trying to find a club for Dan Gosling to gain some match experience.

Graham Carr believes that wingers are the weakest point in the team, a view not shared by Alan Pardew, so it'll be a case of wait and see on that front I'm afraid, with Kinnear ready to offer his opinion in the near future. Pardew is happy with Ben Arfa and Jonas being the wingers and he sees Shane Ferguson and Sammy Ameobi as suitable back up. Graham Carr disagrees and wants to bring in 2 new wingers as he things the young ones don't have the talent to step up and that Ben Arfa is more suited to a free role behind the strikers and Jonas should be moved on.

On the forward front NUFC are looking at bringing in 1 striker to partner up front with Cisse and again a lot depends on who stays and who goes. Darren Bent is earmarked to come in and offer some PL experience up front, but that is down to the sale of Shola Ameobi. The signings of Bony/Aubemenyang are reliant on Dortmunds interest in Cisse. Pardew wants 1 more striker but Ashley is reluctant with Gouffran, Cisse, Ameobi and Campbell all in the team.

Don't want to dampen expectations but NUFC will not be signing many players this Summer and the players arriving will depend on the outgoings. The club will hold off to see how things go throughout the beginning of July and by the end we shall see how things are.

Expect a few youngsters coming in and perhaps the sales of players like Obertan, Perch and possibly Williamson.

Apparently we've launched a £13 million bid for PEA, talksport are also claiming we've made a £12 million bid for Wilfried Bony. We are also rumoured to be interested in Darren Bent. If this is true then the best probable outcome is that we get Bent and either PEA or Bony but we definitely won't get all three.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Really hope we get PEA and Bent, two great signings along with Tomkins and Ince and maybe Marin.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bent is lazy and our fans wouldn't give him the time of day after a few games. him and cisse won't work, him and anyone won't work.

JFK is like the uncle that you don't want at your wedding, you know after a couple of pints he will be arguing with someone, he will interrupt everyones speech and the night will finish in a punch up and tears. Our problem is that JFK has his invite and he is at the wedding

If we want Tom Ince we better hurry up and match the offer from Cardiff as tehy have agreed a fee with Blackpool.

Does anyone think any manager will get on with mr ego kinnear if Pardew goes, be truthful people.
You will not get Bent, you may get Kevin Davies if Kinnear has got owt to do with it.
It was a bad move giving a manager 8 year contract, not many clubs have a manager for 4 or 5 years these days, it was in all honestly a disaster in waiting for your club.
Next season will be interesting, I predict SAFC in 9th position and NUFC in around 16th at best.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Have you taken a look at the Sunderland squad recently?

Mignolet is off, that leaves you with only one good player - Fletcher!

Fletcher ended the season with a bad injury, he could take 12 games to get going again, which is a third of a season gone. (That is if he is even back for the start of next season)

Danny Graham will be lucky to score 5 goals all season.

Watch what happens when Sunderland are not winning games 5 games into the season, PDC will implode, this will lead to a player mutiny and the whole club crumbling.

Sunderland are buying a bunch of players from leagues ranked in the 30th and 40th ranked leagues in the world, and you are bringing them into arguably the most difficult league in the world. Good luck with that one.

You can have a laugh about Kinnear all you want, he is only at the club to kick a few backsides into shape, which cannot do a bit of harm.

Sunderland had to roll the dice with PDC, you needed something, anything to stay up last season.

But this is a new season and you now have the most unpredictable manager and one of the weakest squads in the league. Put 2 and 2 together. I am sure you get the picture.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was a bad move appointing Di Canio! he's a league one manager and will take you in for another relegation season, he's no better than o'neill in fact o'neill is probably a better manager than PDC. anyway you're the ones who are linked with kevin davies! SMB! If we get good players like bent, ince etc. we will finish 8/9/10th while you are losing mignolet and sessegnon and will finish 18/17/16/15th

Agree0 Disagree0

Think ye better put ye hand over your mouth there mate if what i'm reading on your rumours page is anything to go by most of your fans want poyet and what leagues has he managed in think before you post young man

Agree0 Disagree0

No we don't anyway poyets better and more experienced then di canio! SMB Sunderland always in our shadow.

Silly mackems.

Agree0 Disagree0

I love how mackems come on here spouting the odds. What have you done to suggest this? You have appointed a nut case boss who throws his toys out the pram at the first sign of trouble. You have signed no one of note and you have lost your best player, which by the way is a keeper. Speaks volumes. Poor deluded fools. Setting yourselves up for another fail.

Agree0 Disagree0

Poyet has Coached in the Premier League. LMAO

What coaching/managing experience does PDC have at the top level?

Agree0 Disagree0

Poyet ass to ramos at spurs and also at leeds with a guy you lot know well denis wise never been a manager or coach in premiership but there again why talk about poyet you lads are stuck with pardew and Kinnear for the distant future never know joe might get a job for his mates there wise and jones

Agree0 Disagree0

To the guy who wrote the 2nd post are you for real yohan kebab ring any bells, I think the harm may be already done. we are a laughing stock no matter how much you try to paint over the cracks, and it won't get any better whilst the scruffy scarecrow is at our club. del

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi I'm a Sunderland fan and we will see won't we, I have 100% trust and belief In Paolo Dicanio and Ellis short. I would say they have the backing of 95% of every other Sunderland fan.

Can you say the same about your manager coaches and owner?.

I'm confident about the new season, we will bring in the required quality and we will be the fittest most energetic team next season. Our club is going in a new direction in how the club is run ie we are going to be a business model developing top young talent and selling them on for a profit. I think we will have success this way on the pitch, where it counts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Last post mr mackem, why would you want sunderland to be a feeder club? Surely that's going backwards! Yes your players will be "120%" fit but so will other teams. There's nothing special about di canio apart from his celebrations. At least newcastle don't have a league one manager and an owner who doesn't know how to spend his money or make good buisiness.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why do you think you will be the fittest? Is that because PDC says so. You are selling your best player and your next best is also leaving. So what is this confidence based on? Is it the same false confidence you got from Bruce and O Neil? What top young talent you got?

Agree0 Disagree0

We sold mignolet for 7m rising to 10m profit we have a great keeper in westwood as a replacement, fail to see your deluded point SGB?? Jealous that Sunderland are doing something good while your club is making you a laughing stock again! mmmmm I think So!

I personally can't see us signing anyone, i'm sick of reading or hearing what Joe Kinnear has said or what he thinks of different people. No one cares what Joe Kinnear has to say or even Alan Pardew. We just want the Toon to sign some players and get them in as soon as possible. If we don't sign anyone I fear next season is going to be even worse

Believable0 Unbelievable0

How could next season be any worse than last.

The problem last season was COACHING and MANAGEMENT.

The squad we have is top 8 as it stands right now.

Yes, we need another Striker but the squad is hardly small.

We got 5 players in the last window.

Continually signing players all the time is not always the answer, and coming up with doomsday theories just because a new player has not been signed at the beginning of the transfer window is going off the deep end.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with 2nd post, expect to see at least 2 top players come after the season we've just had, because remember the higher we finish up the table the more money ashley gets.
