Not really any urgency shown tonight, Perez was stand out player for me. But why the hell did pardew pick williamson and Gouffran over Cabella and Haidara?! Dummett should have started at centre back with Haidara left back, and Cabella in the no10 role with Ameobi and Perez out wide. Plus Haidara and Ameobi, and Perez and Cabella link up very well. What do Gouffran and Williamson offer to the team? Long balls and cover for left back, that's it, if any of them two play in the Derby we will get hammered.

As for Cisse, he may have 7 goals in 9 games but let's face it the majority of not all were all poacher'so finishes and that's exactly what he is. He's getting on, he can't hold the ball up, he can't bring others into play, he can't take players on, that's why he needs players like Cabella to put the ball on a plate for him, that's the only way he can play.

Hopefully Aarons will make it for the Derby, meanwhile Sissoko and Taylor will be boosts for the Spurs game

To be honest i can't see anything but defeats while Alnwick is in goal. His positional sense, decision making are absolute dreadful. He is exactly what he is, a 3rd choice keeper that was to be released in the summer. We can only hope he gets injured in training so we can bring an emergency loan keeper in before we play Spurs and the Muckems.

Agreed Perez is the only player that looked good Yesterday. I don't think it's any coincidence that we've looked poorer since Tiote came into the team, we were much better with Abeid in there playing it simple.
Colo failed to be the leader we needed Yesterday which is no surprise Sissoko seems to be the real leader on the pitch.
I feel sorry for Alnwick making his first start and having that shambles of a defence in front of him left him with no chance.
For Spurs on Wednesday if Aarons isn't fit then Callum Roberts has to be called up we're desperate for a winger who can dribble and make things happen. Cabella doesn't seem to have the determination to make it, Ameobi is clueless he just does the same thing over and over again and hopes it works once.
Team for Spurs:
Alnwick
Dummett Colo Taylor Haidara
Sissoko Abeid (Anita) Colback
Roberts Riviere Perez

I agree with SC7 Alnwick has had a shambles of a defence in front of him, the only real fault i saw in his game was coming out to punch or catch the ball, and also sweeping behind the defence, there were one or two times where Arsenal played the ball in behind our defence and Alnwick should have came out and cleared it but didn't.

SC7
Thats a great shout, Roberts would really provide some extra energy and flair, however i think even if Aarons and Abeid are fit, they need to be rested for the derby (I really cannot take another loss against them never mind a draw we need to win) Also perez and colback should maybe be given a rest as well so they're fully fit and ready for the derby.

Maybe this?
Alnwick
Dummett Taylor Coloccini Haidara
Tiote
Cabella Sissoko Anita Roberts
Riviere

Unfortunately also have to criticise Alnwick. Criticise is probably unfair to him as he's young and inexperienced.
A keeper also plays a huge part in making sure the defence is doing the right things.
That was something that was a weakness in Shay Given's game hence he never really made it.
Thought Perez did great and can see him as future number 10. link between midfield and attack was missing.

Great to see lots of posts on site again, all opinions are good and worth reading keep it going. Willaimson Goofy Ameobi Cisse all need to be moved on. I wouldn't cry if Tiote left, on his day he can be awesome but he isint on his day often enough

Agree with all of the above, just the excuses pardew needs when we find ourselves in relegation form!

I have the same opinion on Tiote, des
