Sky sources say mevlut erding will sign by the end of the week

Believable40 Unbelievable11

Does any1 else not want him to sign, he will be our "marquee" signing

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he is probs the best option we are able to get.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he will be a good signing played in Europe last session seen him play a lot last session for psg and he can be a handful in the box can create for other forwards fast and for one thing knows where the back the net is so dont really see your point

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing on my sky news

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah nothing on probz a mackem trying to have ppl lifes

Agree0 Disagree0

There is nothing on ssn

Agree0 Disagree0

It says it on .com when defoe said hes not keen on toon if thats what you mean (GOERDIE BOY 4LIFE)

Agree0 Disagree0

Most likely is that on defoe not keen on toon and its a rumor on just like a lot the stuff on this site not the truth just rumors

Agree0 Disagree0

Sky are speculating about Erdinc signing next week in a report on their website about Defoe not keen on a move to Newcastle.

'Manager Alan Pardew is thought to have made Defoe a summer target, and is also keen on Turkish forward Mevlut Erdinc, who could make the move to the North East by the end of the week.'

They are just speculating and know as much as we do

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont really think he wants to come we seem to be linked to loads of players maybe info comes from club so they can say well u know weve tried to sign stikers its been well reported

Agree0 Disagree0

Its on news in the defoe not coming story

Agree0 Disagree0

Both are rubbish and smokescreens for Shane Long arriving, Pardew and his lies

Valencia set sights on Newcastle captain Coloccini

Toon facing battle to hold on to defender as Spanish club poised to make move
talk s**te report

Believable13 Unbelievable32

Could see it on the cards as he is one the big salary players at the club but hopefully not with getting the captains armband and to lose yet again another captain shows that what is going on in this club is what is not need to take this club forward neither a massive two fingers up at us fans :S

Agree0 Disagree0

If the monies right sell him thats what i say..

Agree0 Disagree0

And replace with who goal scoring cb hard to find specially ones that can do it at prem level worrying times a head a see

Agree0 Disagree0

Colo out and Scott Dann in would be a sterling bit of Business

Agree0 Disagree0

just heard the striker weve been looking at in ukraine is shahktars brazilian born croat eduardo da silva great player wants to play in prem

Believable7 Unbelievable21

HOPE SO HES WORLD CLASS. GET BAGS OF GOALS AGAINST SCUMDERLAND

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm the person who posted the Luiz Adriano rumor and i was told that they initially went to look at Eduardo, id be happy with either Eduardo would be on a fair wage tho ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Get real will be on £100k plus

Agree0 Disagree0

Dream on, not a chance in hell

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats the eduardo who played for arsenal, who after a badly broken leg left them coz the premier league was to physical and the length of time out took its toil on him and left him with no confidence.err no thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

For a decent price....very good.

Funny how so many people were chuffed with the links to Bendtner and Chamakh (who are f*cking useless) instead of Eduardo.

Shakhtar Donetsk wouldn't be playing Champions League football without him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Might as well get rid of Ben Arfa for a bad injury too then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Marko Arnautovic could be the strike partner we are looking for to partner Demba hes been likened to a young Ibrahimovic (both technically and in his petulant behavior) hes not wanted by Werder and we could get him for less than £10 million

Believable7 Unbelievable13

What team do he play for and is their any real intrest in him?

Agree0 Disagree0

How much less? as you are lucky if you have 6m to spend and don't forget about wages, agent fee's etc...

Agree0 Disagree0

He plays for Werder Bremen, i believe there is some interest as hes a top talent and hes bremen would let him leave

Agree0 Disagree0

A fee of £10 million with 6million upfront and the rest in performance related incentives, he would be at the top end of our wage structure, hes played with Tiote at Twente aswell so he could put a good word in for us

Agree0 Disagree0

We haven't got 10 million, we spent 35 million on free transfers remember lol

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2011 17:24:36
I'v heard that we have had scouts out in the Ukraine watching Shakhtar Donetsk to look at Brazilian striker Luiz Adriano, hes looking to move to a top european league in the hope he can get into the Brazilian national team. His wages are reported £19,000 a week and would be available for around £8 million

Believable15 Unbelievable5

One of best players in europe on less than 20k think everyone would be after him

Agree0 Disagree0

One of the best who earns less than 20k u mean

Agree0 Disagree0

A top euro club not a club who will be fighting relegation

Agree0 Disagree0

Ur not on the sunderland rumours page now mate past it united squad players .... ye good hustle

Rumors are, players want to be out of the toon as soon as january, not many of them are happy with the way things are being run.

Believable14 Unbelievable31

Quiet time, you dont know what youre talking about

Agree0 Disagree0

At all clubs there are players who want to move to improve their lot. Enrique is our wantaway. He is only playing the "unhappy card" so that he can play the victim when he gets his big move. Hold your nerve, we'll be back in the transfer market when they get back from the USA. Nothing'll happen until mid August on the transfer front. Yes, Graham Carr has looked at every striker in Europe. But he won't make the decision. SteveToon

Agree0 Disagree0

Havent the SMB got owt better to do

Agree0 Disagree0

Well no as you did it to us for 15 years or so I think it is long overdue. now stop twisting and take the banter on the chin

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle 9-0 sunderland
cant wait till august 20th
HA HA

Agree0 Disagree0

Newcastle 1-9 Sunderland no wait that happended before, I think it will be Sunderland 2-0 Newcastle at The Stadium of Light and then Newcastle 1-2 Sunderland at the landfill site. SGBS

ed could you please clear things up, as you no your stuff. people have been saying that on the 1st of august which is this monday, that the edric deal could be done? is there any truth in this? i no the deal wont be done there and then, maybe agree to join, but if yiu have any information, could you let me no thanks.

Believable2 Unbelievable3

{Ed042's Note - Situation is the same as it was a week ago mate, no confirmation from anyone worth listening to, pure speculation stemming from one article written by an unreliable source.. reason Monday is being touted is because thats when Pardew gets back to business in Newcastle after the trip, people will bring up the bonus story and how it will be paid by PSG this week, again it came from that article, and again, stuff like that does not get into the public domain, especially in France.. PSG have accepted a fee yes, which is a step in the right direction, but that was never the real issue, wages and agent, they were the stumbling blocks and still are as far as anyone actually knows for certain.. he may sign, he may not.. but at the moment anything in the public domain is pure speculation, nothing more, theres more certainty in the flip of a coin}

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason people think it may be completed on the 1st of August is because Erdinc is owed a £1m bonus from PSG and if he were to sign before 1st August we would have to pay it instead.

{Ed042's Note - Besides this story coming from a blog article and never being mentioned in the french media, for arguments sake lets say it was true.. how has anyone not looked at the fact that the owners of PSG are essentially Qatari royalty, in other words, minted.. do you really think they would make an issue over ONE MILLION if they wanted to sell him, getting 6 to 8 million when they do?? that is not the reason this transfer hasnt happened yet believe me}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wise words

Agree0 Disagree0

It isnt PSG making the issue about the £1m though. They have to pay it after the 1st of august according to that report. Which means if we signed him before then we'd have to pay it, and we all know MA would rather keep that £1m to spend in 5 mins down the casino.

{Ed042's Note - True im sure Ashley would like an extra mil to spend on the slots, but what im saying is this transfer has been dragged out for nearly two months now, they have been offered more money than is being reported to be accepted in the past and it hasnt happened, in fact 1.5m more than they apparently accepted last week, if they wanted rid, they would have paid this phantom 1m bonus due a month ago, these lads have more money than they know what to do with, look them up, look up who PSG are going for at the moment along with Chelsea, Pastore, valued at 35 to 40 million.. im not denying there may be a bonus due to him, what im saying is that isnt why this transfer hasnt happened}

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't think it will happen, just fools trying to get peoples hopes up, like the idiots who were saying Drogba, Berbatov, N'zogbia, defoe signing

Agree0 Disagree0

hotspurs interested in Ibrahim Afellay, which can be sold for 8 million of pounds.

newcastle should make an attempt for afellay, can be a great player for us but now that hba this injured

what saying?

Believable3 Unbelievable12

Afellay was one of the youngsters getting a good amount of first team football at Barca last season. So..

1.) Doubt they would sell him since he seems to be in their plans.

2.) He's getting his game for the best club side in the world, why would he come to us?

3.) He'd probably cost over £15m and we won't pay it.

4.) His wages will be stupid.

So as nice as it would be, it won't happen, unfortunately.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is unhappy as he was promised more of a role, they signed him for near to nothing and need money for cesc, if they do sign cesc hes further down the pecking order barca would sell him for 8-10 mill easy

Agree0 Disagree0

Teletext on the BBC yesterday were saying Barca would let him go for £4 million.

As usual, no one knows how much he'd really cost or whether he'd even be interested in coming to us.

Agree0 Disagree0

This as Bs written all over it. When Affellay joined Pep was waffling on about how brilliant he is so i would put my house on the fact he wont be sold.

Agree0 Disagree0

And why would Barca sell him?

just heard from a farily reliable source that we will announce the signing of Loic remy in the next week or so for a fee believed to be in the region of £10 million. Defoe/crouch rumours just a smoke screen and the board have got tired of waiting for erdinc to make his mind up You heard it here first

Believable8 Unbelievable22

Quite believable, would be a good capture, marseille might want a few more quid than we're willing to pay though......

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance he only signed for marsielle last year scored 20 goals they signed him for 15m gonna let him go for 10m mmm dont think so

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope so, but I doubt it

Agree0 Disagree0

I knew a few people would think i was talking nonsense but my source wasnt too sure on the price for Remy but heard it is to be in the of region of £10 million upwards. just wait and see it happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Not sure this will happen. He fits the bill being young, energetic and fairly prolific, however he's only been at Marseille since last year and it would take some considerable wedge for them to part with him. If it happens, it will be a great signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was 15m euros. at the time about 12m pounds. now we'd have to offer about 13m to match that. marseille would likely want more. can't see this one happening i'm afraid. frankly, remy can do better than us, he could go to a club with ambition

Agree0 Disagree0

I have said this since the end of the season he would be one of my top targets if i was pardew. I hope its true just for the smug feeling

Agree0 Disagree0

ye chairmen really sticking it up you lads claiming ye after defoe knowing fine well his not looking to move from the area. like i told all the mackems he has just had permission to build a 4.5mill house which has took 2 years to get. first of all it was 4.5 for zog and then 5 for long deals that he knew clubs would turn down he should change his name to walter mitty whos next

Believable9 Unbelievable2

The chairman never suggested that we were after Defoe. Just the usual rubbish from the Sun

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah, to be fair Ashley rarely comes out and says anything. Part of his policy is keeping transfers hushed as much as possible.. or as non-existent as possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

You are spot on
how about this nrecastlr looking at Messi but struggling to get him to lower his wage demands to 40K

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2011 15:01:43
Lukas Padolski has been replaced as captain and his manager at Koln has left the option open for him to leave (Goal.com), surely worth an offer could be got for 10-12 million (Koln signed him for 6) not sure about his wages??

Believable7 Unbelievable9

When are you going to wake up, you will not spend this kind of money on players.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a muppet why would a world class player like podolski want to come to s j p couldnt afford his wages anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone heard news on how bad the Ben Arfa injury was? It's not on the clubs website or anything

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Out for 1 month, sprained ankle

Agree0 Disagree0

He has said he will be back within a month

Agree0 Disagree0

So will be out for the Arsenal game?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh arsenal and sunderland

Agree0 Disagree0

Torn ligaments, out for first 3 games.

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently out of the Arsenal game and, unfortunately, the Sunderland game....

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah hes out for the 1st 2 games

Agree0 Disagree0

The chronicle is claiming Newcastle have turned down the chance to sign Beye and Bassong I'm not suprised they turned down Beye due to his age but thought Bassong would be a good signing to compete with our current CB's and was offered for halve of what Spurs paid for him and surely he is worth £4 million.

Believable14 Unbelievable0

Barton doesn't like they bailed off after we got relegated so can imagine he'd do everything to persuade AP to not sign them

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2011 13:31:30
Come the toon berbatov on way to st James park for medical and talks over move to newcastle for 15 million heard it here first

Believable8 Unbelievable29

I heard he is sharing a horse drawn cart with lionel messi but there delayed waiting for ronaldo to turn up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't know about you but i'm sick to death of the 'new striker saga'. i'm starting to get the feeling that we are all way off the mark and we will end up signing a total surprise (as per the likes of marveaux/cabaye/ba etc) - no offense to your Berbatov story, which i would very much like to hear.......

Agree0 Disagree0

With no resale value and high wages you have to doubt that the owner would agree such a move. Presuambly any signing has to fit within the envelope of the fees and wage package offered to Erdinc. If Berbatov could be signed and paid within that I would be astonished.

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance unforunatley, Berbatov just confirmed yesterday that he was committed to MU. Would be a great signing but MA wont make any money out of the resale and he will not pay the wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes he will be on the bench as we are signing Messi and Tevez.Any more daft speculation.

Agree0 Disagree0

Berb is to see out his contract with manu its on

Agree0 Disagree0

Bullsh*t heard it here 1st

Defo will reject a move to Newcastle it's on news I would of liked him here but I don't want any player that doesn't want to play for the club and at 10 mill price tag I would rather go for some one with a future edric or sturage or both I would also like to see long here if we can sign two players what do u think pls leave comments who you would like to see were the number 9 shirt

Believable10 Unbelievable3

In response, I agree I would of loved Defoe in the number 9 shirt, but if he doesn't want to come to us f*** him. Erdinc would be under too much preassure if it was given to him, the same with Shane Long. The only player I think we could (maybe) get who could wear the number 9 shirt is Sturridge. I think the most likely scenario is no number 9 next season, or even maybe Shola being given the shirt that he has been wanting for nearly 10years

CrawleyMag

Agree0 Disagree0

Would quite like to see Erdinc come as we seem to Have invested a lot of time and effort into to him. His signature would save some face and I do trust in G. Carr's scouting. Also think Long would be a good signing at the right price, qoild happily see a deal for 5mill plus one of our strikers as he think he's better than what we've got, although I'd maybe keep Best too. In a perfect world where we'd actually spend some of the 35mill, Sturridge would be a top priority and the new no. 9 but I can't see it hhappening. I think the squad needs stengthening too; LB, CB, RW.

Agree0 Disagree0

No one this season, if someone is proven this season like carroll was then give it to them

Agree0 Disagree0

Defoe is a typical southener, probably thinks we all live is council terraces and race whipets and grow leeks. if he'd rather sit on the bench at spurs let him, he's obviously happy playing second fiddle and tryin to pull page 3 girls and his team mates sloppy seconds who go out in london. plus why pay 10mil for him when he could probs get sturrige for 15

Agree0 Disagree0

Defoe is not even an option similar to Berbatov to old no resale value and the fact he doesn't even want to play for us should teach us to leave him alone we are just getting a squad back together who are willing to play for themselves the club and the fans.

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably because his missus won't leave London

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2011 12:15:53
sky sources is that defoe will rule out any move to newcastle got to start looking for some1 else and soon

Believable11 Unbelievable1

I wouldn't get upset about this, it was clearly a story cooked up by the club and Wapping journalists to distract attention from their failures elsewhere. They would never fork out for someone with diminishing resale value or for his wages. Ditto Crouch. However they would like you to think they were trying to shop at at Harrods, even if they will only pay Netto prices.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where does it say that? just looking on the website and cant see it anywhere??

Agree0 Disagree0

I tell my lass i don't want to go to work every morning, but i still go

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is this information?

been on sky teamtalk and on news now and nothing like that is written

Agree0 Disagree0

Its only a sky source? they say loads of thing and not even half or its right

Agree0 Disagree0

It also says that erding will sign by the end of the week

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2011 12:13:41

JUST BEING ON NEWS DEFOE RULES OUT THE TOON

Believable14 Unbelievable1

27 Jul 2011 09:22:56
if People are reading old stories too. Erdic is coming, as we are waiting till august, so we don't pay the 1 mil bonus to his agent. Also i can believe Defoe coming as Spurs have to sell two strikers before they sign another.
Somersettoon

Believable3 Unbelievable10

Dreaming, the money isn't there it is false promises again from pardew

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah as i mean It's all hearsay, we never know for fact as newcastle aren't being public about transfers. But you are probably right.

just wondering does people think we will get either defoe or edric/ defoe has just come out of the blue i would like to see us bring in 3 more players, a defender, which everyone would agree on, a striker which we must get and i would like to see an attacking midfielder come in. Ed what do you think, anything on defoe?

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Don't think we need an attacking midfielder, we already have marvaeux, ben arfa and vuckic (who looks like he could be a quality player). We need 2 full backs (one to replace Jose and one to challenge donkey Simpson) we also need a striker (obviously) and that should set us in good stead to push for a top half finish

Agree0 Disagree0

We already have enough attacking mids just look pardew likes to play ben arfa behind the front 2 we have got cabaye, vuckic and gosling who can all play there as well

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd happily take Defoe, we don't need another attacking midfielder, but I would like to see us get Onouha to put pressure on Simpson, offer cover across the back 4 and even an emergency replacement for Tiote when he inevitably gets his suspensions. Would like PvA or Bertrand on loan from Chelsea to replace Enrique.

Agree0 Disagree0

What happened to the geordie's saying defoe is overated and messes clubs about? but as soon as he is linked with you he is better than sliced bread

Agree0 Disagree0

Gosling has the ability to cover DM for Tiote, and i think Cabaye could be used there as an emergency aswell. He'd still be able to control much of the flow in the midfield from there. but its far from ideal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew wants to play Ben Arfa behind a front 1, not 2. also tavernier is better than simpson.

Agree0 Disagree0
