It's Benfica, first leg away.

Don't know much about them this season, is this a good draw or not? {Ed002's Note - It'll be a tough test.}

Got about the hardest draw

Agree1 Disagree6

I agree with Ed its a tough tie but could be worse - wouldn't fancy Lazio or Fenerbache either! {Ed013's Note - Benfica are one of the favourites, beat them and why not go all the way}

Agree4 Disagree3

Same again as last round, be tight as owt in defence and grab a last minuter! howay the toon!

Agree0 Disagree1

HBA out for the season!

Benfica are one of the best teams in the world on their day.

They play a very fast passing game, dinky balls and backheels.

This is the worst possible draw.

Benfica only know how to do one thing and that is attack, attack and more attack, and they do it home & away.

We are playing against the big dogs now, which I guess is the games we want to be playing, I would rather have escaped Benfica until the next round - but one thing is for certain, whoever wins the Europa League was going to have to beat Benfica, if Benfica did not win it of course.

Agree4 Disagree6

I want newcastle to win it purely to show alex fergie how wee the club is.

moron.

People are over-rating benfica in my opinion, certainly calling them one of the best teams in the world on their day is a bit rash, I think both chelsea and spurs are better teams with more quality in their squads, a lot happier with the distance we have to travel this time instead of going half way round the world its not a bad trip, wouldn't have enjoyed a trip to fenerbache at all, Basel are for me the same level as benfica and wouldn't have minded them and was happy to avoid lazio and their fans

Agree4 Disagree4

Benfica never lost home or away in there league

Agree3 Disagree0

'' Basel are for me the same level as benfica''

^ haha

Your opinion is now void.

Agree7 Disagree3

The Portuguese league isn't the strongest, its a bit like the Dutch League two or three decent teams than the rest are fairly average, it tends to be the same teams at the top year after year

Agree4 Disagree1

To the guy who laughed at basel being compared to benfica
" After a 1-1 away draw against S. L. Benfica, FC Basel tied away 3-3 and then won at home 2-1 against Manchester United". not such a void opinion, knocked out zenit this year in the europa, won their league 3 years in a row, so think you clearly under estimate them

Agree3 Disagree0

Benficas a difficult draw but it could have been worse. wouldn't have wanted to go to Russia again. Think Kazan is a difficult draw for Chelsea. Also happy to avoid the english teams at this stage. Sure Benfica will be wary of playing us, particularly after who we've eliminated in the last two rounds. P. S. Depending how people rate Celtic this season, Celtic competed very well against Benfica in the CL Group Stage this season.

Agree1 Disagree0

Holland have more than 2 or 3 decent teams they Ajax PSV Twente Feynoord and AZ Alkmaar

Agree0 Disagree2

Disappointed in what happend to haidera (sp?)
