Mike Ashley flew to Newcastles training ground by helicopter other day to discuss transfers with Pardew so there will most likely be atleast 1 signing in January. My guess is that Pardew will waste too much time then make a useless panic buy.

Any news of any sort of transfer activity coming in or is ashley going to keep his wallet locked away? {ed's note - the idea behind bringing Kia in is to pick up the cheap players that you can sell on. Not sure how it will work in practice, it might mean you end up missing out this window as it gets sorted out. To be honest I wouldn't expect much incoming for anyone.}
