Lots of speculation flying around and Joeys tweet about "happy days" adds to this. . . . also Ed i know you won't tell me probably (you don't have to) but i was wondering who you are and how you have your contacts? sorry if this is an intrusive question. . my sources are people (3) in and around nufc who inform me of any news or likely hoods of transfers back round staff or even try find out anything i ask of them.i sometimes don't believe them aka Ben Arfa but they don't let me down. but people must understand circumstance do change like in disagreements in contracts/fees then it turns out to be a no hoper. But ive been told to expect alot of noise in terms of new players at newcastle utd! which has began to excite me. (WelshToon)

NEWCASTLE United have made their first transfer breakthrough of the summer by swooping for Lille's France international midfielder playmaker Yohan Cabaye.
The Sunday Sun can reveal CABAYE AGREED TO SIGN FOR UNITED ON THURSDAY AFTERNOON , with Newcastle beating competition from Arsenal to land one of the brightest talents in French football.
He plays his last game for the French champions today and, while the deal is not yet finalised, United hope to confirm it in the next 10 days.
