The point of wanting Pardew replaced is because of his lack of tactical awareness and for he and his coaching staff being incapable of getting our flair players to show their full promise. WHY start mentioning Tony Pullis? Pullis would be a sideways step, also useless at tactics and has he ever had a flair player in his ranks? To me, a man who would be available and could get the best out of Cabella/Sissoko/Aarons etc would be Glen Hoddle. Football is all about opinions, that's mine, although everyone is entitlrd to their views.

FC,

Tony Pulis would be a sidestep to pardew as would moyes, sherwood, di matteo etc. they are all what I like to call "second generation managers" more and more PL clubs are starting to appoint young dynamic managers e.g liverpool-rodgers, everton-martinez, spurs-pochettino even sunderland with poyet. we need to move along with the times and get Frank de Boer. And glenn hoddle, I don't really like him as a person but he plays a watchable style of football and is tactically astute, however he's been out of the game for so long and won't leave qpr. Would rather a more modern manager.

JT IF there is a change it is not what we want but what Ashley wants to give us

A decent manager would not work under Ashleys constraints and also not want to be known as a yes man by simple virture of the legacy left behind by Pardew so it is always going to be who Ashley wants and who will do his bidding.

It appears to me that we need to find someone who will earn the respect of a modern day footballer.
I think the tactics side can be overblown a bit. Rodgers, Pochetino aren't great tacticians but they do get the best out of players. If you look at the way Rodgers handled Suarez it was pretty impressive. We can all see how fantastic a man manager Fergie was. Bobby Robson and keegan too.
When you look at all the examples all of the names mentioned above have a great rapport with the fans also.
I think that Ashley will look at an overseas manager or an up and coming manager from the lower leagues.
that is if JFK turns the job down. For me Hoddle would not be the answer. But he would be better than sticking with Pardew. in almost 4 years pardew has shown in glimpses that if all the stars align he can get the team playing extremely well. When things don't go his way his behaviour is unacceptable.

Agree Desree we are in a pickle & I think Ashley will ride any storm and follow a usual pattern, if things are not good add the players we should have now in January.
Pardew has his moments but more bad than good next few weeks should be interesting & a good performance on Saturday would help

He didn't cost 6m for a start

As always Geordie the fans are the last to know
He is either not very good in Pardews eyes (remember he had nothing to do with this signing) or we may have another Rossi who hardly played when he was on loan.
