Use our rumours form to send us newcastle transfer rumours.

im a huge nufc fan. I love the team more than anythin

but. if they play rubbish. I am perfectly entitled to criticise without being called a mackem!!

it happens every time I make a comment. but I am not content being served up with 16 wins out of 50 competitive games (even then consider those games include 2x atromitos, 2x maratime, 2 x brugge). this shows how rubbish we are

then worst of all is people still calling us a top 10 club. come on people. our form over the last 12 months proves we are anything but that. look at the stats. we are useless. look at the table. a tap 10 team is usually found in the top 10. not in serious jeopardy of relegation. and we are only surviving because of wigans form

hanging on by the skin of our teeth. look at how sunderland beat us easily, liverpool tore us to shreds without breaking sweat. 9 goals in last 13 games. rubbish!!

as I earlier, I am a toon fan. any disagreements. my name is embo. make sure u know your delirious rants are aimed at me. "embo". i'll be sure to answer all your weak arguements with facts

Believable0 Unbelievable0

But we do have a top 10 team.

The squad is good enough.

So if we have a good side the problem must lay elsewhere.

I mean look at Chelsea last season, they came 6th, would you say Chelsea last season had the 6th best team in England?

It is not difficult to rank where teams should be by the quality they have in their squads, and we certainly have a top 8 squad.

The problem comes down to execution on the field, and that direction has to come from the manager and everyone below him.

I do not go in for the excuses about playing in Europe either, Pardew played 2nd string players in Europe for the earlier parts.

Sometimes the problem really is with the manager.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly my point as well 2nd post, in fact our squad on paper is better than everton's. The table is what's decieving you. Its simply the team not being managed, played or players not performing up to their standards. Do you really think everton will finish top 7 next year, with the amount of players they buy and money they spend (which isn't very much) they have an incredibly small squad and they won't be able to cope and will do what we did this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the players aren't as good as we seem to think they are.

. i'd pick baines over any of our left backs, i'd pick distin and jagielka over any of our centre halves (colo would be close, pienarr would defo get in my newcastle team, as would fellaini, i'd take mirallas too, and as for pappisse offside cisse. well quite frankly anichibe or jelavic would both do better. are we really better on paper than everton. I dnt think so!

Agree0 Disagree0

We haven't got a top 10 team. We have finished in the top 10 last season but that's just 1 season in many so newcastle are a bottom half team. However, we have the potential to be a top 6 team. Potential!

Geordie Al

Agree0 Disagree0

I think the main problem this season has been a lack of consistency. There have been a lot of injuries and we have not been able to field a settled side and build up a rythym. The problem starts at the back. To play possession football you need defenders who are comfortable on the ball and can bring the ball out of defence. This season we have struggled playing simpson and Williams in particular. Williams is not comfortable and tends to knock the ball back to the keeper who then has to kick it up field. On the whole players have to be more patient and fit enough to keep moving in order to retain possesion. There are sometimes no options for player on the ball and either possession is lost or the ball is booted up field. Tiote has taken a lot of stick this season and whilst he can be rash in the challenge he is under pressure to make tackles because does not have sufficient support in the midfield. We have decent players and just need to play with more confidence.

Agree0 Disagree0

No no they are as good as we think they are.
Krul-rated at 15-20m being linked with barca
debuchy-Regular france starter now, quality RB
Mbiwa-Now he will only be sold for a minimum of 20mHe has bags of potential, was linked with milan and man u for 18m
Coloccini-I'd pick him any day over jagielka and distin, he was a rock against west ham.
Santon-Another player with bags of potential rated at 10-16m
Cabaye-Quality CM rated at 18-25m. Being linked with man u and arsenal.
Tiote-Another player who's terribly out of form. last season he was being rated at 15-20m
Ben Arfa-Great to watch, a real talent rated at 20-30m Still has much more potential
Sissoko-Now rated at 18m with lots of potential, he will be the next viera.
Cisse-Top quality striker no doubt, he was linked with arsenal and man u before he came to us. But again a player who's massively under performing.

All these players i've listed are all top 6 quality dare I say when they are on form. And maybe, pardew will be able to buck up his ideas WITH the backing of the board, create a whole new team plan, tactics etc. and manage the squad properly over the summer.

Keep the faith HTL

With, Ben Arfa, Marv, Cabaye, Cisse, Mbwia, Santon, Debuccy, Goufran, Tiote all we need is a positive manager and a couple of good signings, a commanding centre half and a striker. Pardew is too negative with the quality he has at his disposal. WHY does he worry about opposition so much, especially at home? ONE up front? Cisse needs a partner and the Toon need the ball played along the floor for our footballers. Not hoofing it 60 yards over the heads and into opposition hands every time. Ashley is a businessman and succesful as that so surely he can see that a succesful Newcastle United playing attractive football can only get his cash register ringing. Invest a bit of cash and appoint the right manager and maybe our long wait for a piece of silverware will arrive before I meet my maker. Is that too much for a supporter of 45 yrs to ask Mr. Ashley?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Im of a similar age and couldn't agree with you more, two things more need width 2wingers/forwards so we are playing 433 instead of 451. and most importantly get rid of the person in charge PARDEW OUT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some of those players mentioned have been playing in a back four which looks likely to concede around 70 league goals in a season how can you say these are good signings. cabaye stand out head and shoulders above anyone else this season and although cisse gets a lot of stick if it wasn't for his late goals god only knows what league Newcastle would be playing in next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Systems don't really make too much dif really. The most important thing is that we attack and defend as a TEAM. Too often we have been lost possession cheaply through shabby passing and have been caught with too many players out of position. Players have to concentrate and think about their positioning more.

If we got relegated this year I wonder which players would stay and which ones would be like championship? i'm off cya later and where would they go?
Cisse Tottenham or Arsenal
Tiote somewhere in france
Cabaye and Ben Arfa PSG
Coloccini san Lorenzo
krul PSV or Ajax
Santon Milan
Debuchey somewhere in france
Simpson West Ham

The only ones we will probably be left with would be S. Taylor, Shola and Jonas.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Id sell strolla and jonas even if they wanted to stay

Agree0 Disagree0

Im confident we won't get relegated but:
cisse-spurs, arsenal, dortmund
Tiote-Gladbach, anji, zenit, chelsea
cabaye-man united, psg, arsenal
coloccini-san lorenzo
krul-ajax, barca, arsenal
santon-milan
Debuchy-France
Simpson-West ham
Yanga m'biwa-milan
sissoko-spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope your right about cisse tiote santon these are three of the worst players to pull a black and white shirt on in recent times all way over rated and probs why we are in this mess along with pardew

Agree0 Disagree0

No wonder Newcastle are a laughing stock. Inept owner chairman and Manger and coaches who can't coach and the fans banding names about for a new manger that will come no where near Newcastle and players unless paid megga bucks will stay well clear.

This is the future of Necastle. but deluded fans think we have something special we do not and time to wake up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cisse, Tiote & Santon worst NUFC players in recent past? Are you serious? You clearly know little about football and even less about NUFC.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha m8 only been a suppporter for 40
years!

Agree0 Disagree0

Well where have they been all season? They are that gud that's why we are just above relegation zone tell me one gud game cisse has had all season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Gisse is a joke missed 10 times more than he has scored excuse after excuse about being out of position.

A decent striker even Holt would have propelled this team up the league and taken pressur off the poor back four.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's pathetic, you cannot scapegoat such a small group for an all around dreadful season. Pardew is responsible, as is the coaching staff, the individual players, just about everyone involved. Teams succeed based on what goes on behind the scenes just as much as what you see, not just a matter of 'he had a s*** season, sell him'. That said Cisse and Tiote have been poor by their standards and Santon has been very inconsistent, got to remember that he's 22 and was one of our best players at the start of the season.

Agree0 Disagree0

No way are cisse, tiote and santon bad players like that post made out!!

Probs cabaye has been the seasons biggest let down.

. however the most pointlest thing I've ever saw in my life is people predicting which people will be sold to which club. what a load of rubbish haha. worst debate in history.

Agree0 Disagree0

First half of the season Santon was brilliant but he was playing almost every minute I think he just got burnt out then struggled to get back into form and picked up injuries.

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe won't be funny if we do get relegated and tghey are all sold because I can tell you now we won't be back up for atleast 2 more yesars

Agree0 Disagree0

Cisse is like Martins, capable of the sublime but more often culpable for the inept. Cisse has missed so many simple chances all season going all way back to Chelsea and Villa at the start of the season through to Reading, Wigan and West Ham lately. And can someone explain why with all the coaches we have no one has taught him to stay on side, it drives me nuts so goodness knows how it must make his team mates feel.

Agree0 Disagree0

You have to laugh at some of the clubs you are linking your players with do you actually think anyone will be queueing up to buy any of them after the shambles of a season Newcastle have had

Agree0 Disagree0

08 May 2013 10:52:13
Yes we had a pretty bad season but saying we need a complete overhaul is just plain daft, unfortunaly this is just your typical fickle fans saying this, this is what happens when we massively over-achieve last year, we won't be in the bottom half next season and I am positive we can challenge for a CL place next season, Pardew is the right man and Ashley is actually managing the club pretty well tbh

I think our form is a combination of bad luck, too many players coming in january thus a lack of understanding in tactics and formations, europa league and a couple of players not playing as good as last year

I can see a few fringe players leaving, colo is going back to argentina is defo one, not sure bout rest depends on value of the players ie Cabaye, only way he leaving if we get a bid of 25m + which is unlikely

P. S Bring back Andy Carroll

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yippee can't wait! Bring back Carroll and keep Pardew and we'll play even more hoofball than we already do.
Why don't we keep Simpson play him ahead of Debuchy, Williamson ahead of Yanga Mbiwa and play Ameobi alongside Carroll?

Agree0 Disagree0

Give your head a shake cl place next season what makes you think your even going to be in the top half, you are where you are because your team is crap totally deluded.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep and your team is above us on goal difference so equally crap?

Agree0 Disagree0

The squad on the whole is very good. To say CL is a bit optimistic though. Simple fact is Pardew has to go. He doesn't have the ability to manage the squad we have which is clear when he insist on playing Jonas and playing others out of position. A clear out of the deadwood and a couple of good signings is what we need. Saying that we still ain't safe so I would wait out to find out what league we are in next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think I disagree with every point made by the first poster. Keep Pardew? CL challenge? its because of fans like you the rest of us get called deluded. Also I've been more impressed with Simpson recently than debuchy

Agree0 Disagree0

I sort of agree with original poster, it's probs not his fault for the team playing too much hoof ball. its not like a computer game where pardew tells them what to do, although they have training sessions every day but Ba even came out and said the team works on possession in training. Its the team not playing up to their standards and they're not communicating enough. watch pardew on the touchline most games and you'll understand what I mean. If pardew can get us 5th last season then he can do it next season. Alright yes CL is a bit optimistic but europa league is our real target and should be every season.

We just need a whole massive clearout of fringe and under performing players (ameobi, willo, simmo, harper, jonas, obertan, gosling, amalfitano)

Ashley will give pardew the money to actually follow pardew's original plan he'll make, as he had to tear it up at the start of this season because he wasn't given the players he wanted.

Our squad is top 8 quality no doubt, its simply the players not performing and communicating that is putting out bad performances.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew was not backed by the board this season, got unlucky with injuries and had europa league to deal with, got us to 5th last season so he deserves one more chance to revive us next season and get us fighting for europa league again.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can knuckle head say we are a top 8 team! look at the table we are third top if you turn it upside down

Agree0 Disagree0

A few fringe players going?
You are living in dream land.
If Ashley gets rid of Pardew a new manager may get a lot more out of the present squad.
There is no smoke without a fire usually, and there are a number of sources saying that there is trouble in camp. These players who are not getting on are going to have to be split up and that means transferred. These are not fringe players.

Agree0 Disagree0

His head is up his a**e.

Agree0 Disagree0

One reply lol top 8 side what a laugh no wonder everton fans are laughing their tits off at pardew was going to say no wonder people call Newcastle fans the deluded ones but I see there are a few sensible replies amongst them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeez have you become obsessed with newcastle again?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I have mate I can't go on a site and have a laugh like I do on here. some of your predictions this season have been unbelievable. your transfer rumours wouldn't go a miss in the beano, you have a manager who should be on the comedians and to top it all your top 8 team have given me something to laugh about in the current economical climate it has given me great pleasure visiting your site. all the best for your last 2 games as I don't want to see you relegated as I will miss the fun I get from the deluded. a happy mackem

Agree0 Disagree0

"Our squad is top 8"my god how daft can even a toon fan get, If you believe that then you are deluded beyond the point of no return. Is that why you are in this relegation battle, have lost half of your games, and won 1 away game this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Krul-Dutch international, wanted by barca as backup.
Debuchy-Regular starter for France
M'Biwa-Got him for a bargain, wanted by milan for 18m in the summer.
Santon-Being chased by milan great potential.
Cabaye-Don't need to say much, top quality midifielder being linked with arsenal, man united.
Tiote-Being linked with chelsea but out of form
Ben Arfa-Great talent, wonderful to watch now being wanted by liverpool and psg.
Sissoko-Another bargain, rated at 15m
Cisse-13 goals in 14 games in the prem shows he is a top quality player.

All these players are not performing up to their standards under pardew, on paper our squad is better than everton and don't try and argue because its the table that's decieving you.

Its pardew not managing the team right. The stature that this club is and how fantastic, passionate and loyal the fans are we should be targeting at least top 10. champions league probably too high but top 7 is what this club deserves.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nearly 70 goals conceded in a season I can see clubs queuing up to buy some of your defenders NOT

think fergies fancies a new challenge and will take over from pardwho in summer, if lambias thinks he's good enough, the jury is still out.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I honestly wouldn't be surprised to hear Pardew talking about getting the Man U job, he's so far up his own ass.

Agree0 Disagree0

I totaly agree well said mate

Agree0 Disagree0

God imagine Pards at Manchester United lol, he have RVP at left back!

I think we just need to beat qpr now then it won't matter if we lose to arsenal just not by a massive margin. Then we'll be six points clear of wigan. Although wigan could win their last two games. As they beat arsenal last year, but sunderland, norwich are in just as much trouble as we're in. Southampton will want to make sure they're safe, and they've been playing some great football and could easily tear them apart 3-1 or something and they'll lose to spurs. Norwich may beat or draw Wba but lose to man city. My prediction:
Newcastle 41pts
Sunderland 39pts
Norwich 39pts
Wigan 38pts

Geordie Moses

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Of course Geordie, you will get the most points out of the bottom teams, goes without saying.

Agree0 Disagree0

This a very positive fan or he's just being biased

Agree0 Disagree0

Aha, if your not positive then you don't win games.

Agree0 Disagree0

But your a fan not a player so what does it matter wether your positive or not nufc are going down

Agree0 Disagree0

Moses say no more typical Geordie deluded till the end. if Norwich get a draw on sunday along with Newcastle and sunderland then wigan go to arsenal and get a draw out of the 4 I would rather be in sunderlands position if we all get beat on sunday and wigan lose I would rather be in sunderlands position unless by some mishap we go to spurs and get beat 12 nil you want to hope that you are guaranteed safety before the arsenal game as it could all come down to goal difference which with my maths makes sunderlands feel like an extra point.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ok then if every single fan was negative and didn't get behind the team where would be? No where near the prem.
