Guaranteed at least 5th after that Liverpool win tonight. Seem's amazing that by Sunday night we could be anywhere between 3rd and 5th.
Onward and upward - Up the toon!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Sorry toon fans, everton need 2 beat newcastle to make sure we finish above liverpool, dont expect easy game boys

Agree9 Disagree1

Dont think there will be a mag thinking everton will be easy tbh as it will be a tough game believe me....

Agree7 Disagree0

Aye, love playing the toffees, always a good old fashioned hard game. i think I speak for all mags when I say we like Everton, certainly more than your arrogant nostalgic under achieving neighbours.

Ashley will sell up at the end of the season?

Believable0 Unbelievable3

And you know this because?

Agree3 Disagree0

And????????????

Agree0 Disagree3

I never understand this comment, and its use as a "sly dig". even if he does sell, which I can see him doing tbo, it would be to someone with substantial amounts of money, a they aren't going to run the club any differently, with financial fair play rules coming into affect, gone are the days of multi million pound spending

I've been told that Joss Labadie a young midfielder who has just came to the end of his contract at Tranmere could be coming to Newcastle for a trial in the coming weeks

personally i would go for sebastian giovinco and josip illic giovnco because hes young pacy and sits our transfer policy also illic great striker also suits our policy and could give ba or cisse a rest with all our fixtures we ll have

I drifted through this deserted wasteland some days ago and left a remark or two...Just been back on to see if there really IS life up there and I see I upset one or two of you people. Sorry about that - but console yourself on the fine season you have had. Pardew has now put the club in a position for the fat man to sell
at a huge profit. He'll have to do it quick though as I think everyone knows that this season's achievements
are a one-off

Puzzled

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Who do you support?

Agree0 Disagree0

As his name suggests he's not sure, whoever's winning. Clearly his team's doing nowt or the sad person wouldn't be on our page every day.

Agree3 Disagree0

Again AND???

hi ed, i was wondering if you knew what length contracts the first 11 were on, thanks Adstatoon {Ed003's Note - Crikey I've only just logged on and got hit with this,nope I dont sorry maybe some posters could help out with that Q }

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Go on nufc.com and go on squad tab, all contract dates are on there

Agree1 Disagree0

Haha no worries i looked up a few and most are on atleast 4 years i think. apart from simpson. adstatoon

Agree0 Disagree0

Most are long term like the next 3-4 seasons Tiotie has something like 5 years left. If the players want to go it would cost teams 20-30+ mill per player.

What will newcastle do when ba and cisse leave for a big club??

Tony LFC

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Who will Clueless Kenny waste money on this transfer window?

Agree6 Disagree2

Why don't you go on the Man U page? Do they laugh at how desperate you are?

Agree1 Disagree0

We'll buy new players, better ones. Have you not seen what we've been doing over the past two years.

Your baiting has really got to it's lowest point hasn't it? I'd be more worried about wasting another year in midtable, in the europa league, still bleating about how your history means you deserve the best players and should be in the Champion's league.

Agree0 Disagree0

Or probably just play HBA and shola upfront and still finish above liverpool

Agree3 Disagree0

Rumour has it that heskey is available on a free, and king kenny is ready to bid 20 million for his services once more!

Agree3 Disagree0

What will Liverpool do when they finish outside the top 6 again next season, after wasting yet more money on garbage players, under a clueless manager. Get back to your own site and keep reminiscing about the good old days when you were actually a decent side.

Agree3 Disagree1

"What will newcastle do when ba and cisse leave for a big club?"

Buy replacements. Provided they actually leave for a bigger club and considering none of the clubs need a new striker (Man Utd/City) nor can afford them (Tottenham), I just don't see them leaving.

Agree1 Disagree0

Why does Luton Football Club want to know {Ed003's Note - They're LTFC ;) }

Agree0 Disagree1

Well that rules your team out!

Agree0 Disagree0

Tony lfc is a makem i think...is it the same tony who said last week that lfc would win chelsea........biggest club in liverpool is everton tony...

Agree2 Disagree0

IF you are a Liverpool fan, I hope you're not suggesting Liverpool are one of these 'big' clubs you talk about. Why would any of our players join your club?

So lets look at the other contenders (within the premiership)

Chelsea - unlikely to be in the champions league, who knows who the manager will be, and more likely to sign big names from Europe.

Arsenal - made their big money signing already.

Man City - Cisse probably the only player they would look at but has only been in UK a few months and would cost a ridiculous amount.

Tottenham - no 'bigger' or 'better' at the moment.

Man U - traditionally Ferguson doesn't pay huge amounts for players from other Prem sides.

Any player who leaves will leave for money and our players seem to be happy playing for the club and the manager at the minute, so if they do go for a big payday - good riddance.

Agree1 Disagree0

They wont go to a mid table club like yours

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe we could sell Lovenkrands to LFC for 30 million, sounds about right. we'll throw in Shola for an extra 25 million to sweeten the deal, that's good business KK, you know it makes sense.

anyone seen the new burgendy away kit for next season.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yeah, it looks decent, but I've seen better away kits. I just hope puma say with our current homestyle shirt, it looks much better with the thicker black and white stripes

Agree2 Disagree0

Its crap I hate it,puma make rubbish strips.

Id like us to swoop for our players before the Euros, therefore the players cost does not increase and other people will not know who we are after....

We currently have a french center half, named Christophe Lowinsky on trial. He's a french u-19 player. Turned 20 two days ago actually. Plays for Marseille.

If anyone knows anything about the prospects of this lad, do tell, as i know very little of what to expect from him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hi edd just read this story myself on journal website do you know any thing about him like potential etc... {Ed023's Note - Sorry, I do not know about the lad}

Trophy count for this season

LFC 1-0 NUFC
I would do the all time count, but it would just embarrass you

LFC

Believable2 Unbelievable0

You've just embarrassed yourself! £113 million for the carling cup! Really well done!

Agree6 Disagree0

Well done mate, glad to see you got value for money with a penalty shoot out win over a confirmed championship side that has just been humped 5-0 on aggregate by West Ham. If that is what £100 million plus buys you these days, i'd be more than happy for our club not to risk going bankrupt in order to acheive it. I'm already looking forward to seeing who Dogleish wastes serious cash on again this time around. Perhaps another £100 million will grab you a deserved Europa league qualification next year. Jog on, have you not got bins to be going through, it is around breakfast time.
Col

Agree4 Disagree0

Sorry, we're still a bit tied up fighting for a champions league place. Bet you'd swap that mickey mouse cup to be in our position in a heartbeat.

Agree5 Disagree0

Yes, forgot to congratulate you on beating cardiff actually! You made a much harder job of it than west ham like, spend about £200m and you might just about be able to catch us in the league next year, mugs

Agree1 Disagree0

Love to win league or cups but just happy to be a toon supporter, wont ever change happy when we win sad when we lose been like this since 1956. id rather watch the toon and win nothing than follow liverpool or man utd

Agree6 Disagree0

Just a note Liverpool have 91 trophys 64 major honours. Newcastle lol 27 that including pre season friendly cups lol and major trophy wins 11.
Even sunderland have more league titles and runners up more times.

Agree0 Disagree0

Middlesbrough are the biggest club in the northeast.Fact who has won a cup this century?Boro.Who has been to a european cup final this century?Boro.Fanbases do not make you a big club as if it was the case norwich, plymouth hull city etc would be huge as they have massive catchment areas.Newcastle is a one club city you should be getting 70k plus attendances.

Agree0 Disagree1

Concentrate on your balance sheet issued 3 May.LFC and FSG are going to the wall. You will be selling players (Sauarez to ManU) KD moving on. Gerrard past his best Carra finished. You are right to live in the past cos the future looks bleak. If it helps keep visiting us we always have a soft spot for helping the afflicted.

Agree1 Disagree0

Pahahah middlesbrough biggest in north east? id say hartlepool are bigger

Agree1 Disagree0

Not to mention wasting 50 million on new stadium plans!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hartelpool with NOBBY YEAH YAH!
