Use our rumours form to send us newcastle transfer rumours.

Joey Barton has to be the biggest fool I have ever heard of. He goes on and on about loving the club blah blah then less than 48 hours after the club imply a rule saying don't use Twitter to discuss the club he goes on there saying trained with the 1st team today and will deffo be playing on Saturday. I say just get rid of the guy he obviously has no interest in the clubs policies as much as I think our board is garbage, if he loved the club he wouldn't be so interested in disrupting everyone and everything around him he is nothing more than an attention seeker trying make himself look good whilst forcing a move away because he wants nothing but long contracts with big wages.

Criteria for our new
a young striker
who wants to leave his club
proven in premier league
used to our new passing play
good header of the ball
wants to play week in week out
French speaking (or at least can understand there accsent)

F$&kin put in a very good bid for bentner and pay his wages by getting rid of lovenkrans, ranger, ameobi, xisco Harper, smith

Believable6 Unbelievable0

You would be able to pay his wages just by getting rid of xisco.

Could we be more charitable to our neighbors on the Wear they have had a huge shock today.
The all time PL table out today has them 18th place and many are taking it as an omen for their position this upcoming season. Even the smoggies were ahead in 14th,what a kick in the nuts that must have been.
NUFC were comfortably in the top ten 7th actualy. So dont get upset lads if they must spend so much time on the NUFC site would you waste your time on the third team in the North East.
Remember league positions never lie.

Believable7 Unbelievable3

Your right to disagree NUFC were 8th

Agree1 Disagree0

Did you read The People on Sunday?
My sides are still aching from laughing so much. Stan Collymore reckons your circus of a club is going to be relegated. Sunderland to finish 12th.

Agree1 Disagree1

It's a good job nobody rates stan collymore's aptitude then isn't it. Are you having problem's finding your own rumours page or has Man Utd just run out of off cuts to chuck you lot?

Agree0 Disagree1

Yeah coz stan collymores a reliable source

Agree0 Disagree1

Sunderlands future is looking brighter than newcastles so that will soon change.

Agree1 Disagree0

You say you have a bright future when you are bringing 30+ aged Players ... stupid mackem

Agree0 Disagree0

Ulrika didn't trust Stan so I'm with her.

Agree0 Disagree0

2 players one 30 the other 31. the rest are in the 20's and one is 18 years old not exactly bad is it? what are you saying drogba is rubbish coz he is 33-34? what about you bringing in 36 year old sol campbell? hypocrites SGBS

Agree0 Disagree0

There's a bit of a difference between O'Shea and Brown to Drogba.

Anyone know who the "French Trialist" is they where referring to on the reserve match commentary? Obertan or Another Youth Player Like Abeid?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Yeh its another french youth player it wont be obertan cause he is having a medical and abeid was playing in the game as well so have got no idea i think we will only find out if he gets given a contract.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yven moyo?

{Ed042's Note - No, Moyo also played, got three assists, lad is quality.. two sources close to the club have taken the "no comment" route on this one, obviously not at liberty to say}

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed042's Note - Update : Trialist is rumoured to be 18 year old Auxerre striker Yaya Sanogo of Auxerre... dont hold me to this because the source can be hit and miss but here is a small video of him anyway... www.youtube.com/watch?v=7etxZv7Y7MI}

Agree0 Disagree0

Unreal on football manager {Ed042's Note - Haha ah well we`re sorted then}

Agree3 Disagree0

Football manager is an authority on good players.. Lets get Garra Dembele in too.

Agree1 Disagree0

Its renne

Agree1 Disagree0

Someone on Twitter who claims to be ITK says it's French U18 striker Mamadou Doucoure and Wikipedia says he is currently at Lens so maybe Abeid has told the club to have a look at him.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed042's Note - Can confirm the above, trialist is Mamadou Doucoure of Lens.. apologies for earlier speculation, as I said source it came from is very hit and miss knew it was too good to be true ha}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yaya Sanogo looks class would love to see him at the club get him in on a trial

Quote from Eric Pieters below:

PSV defender Erik Pieters claims English clubs have shown an interest in signing him, and feels he is ready for an overseas move.
The 22-year-old, who arrived in Eindhoven three years ago, only recently penned a new deal with the Eredivisie giants to keep him at the club until 2014.
But after missing out on Champions League football with PSV this season, Pieters admits his future is uncertain and says there has been interest from elsewhere.
"From England, there was interest," he told NUSport. "I have to wait and see what comes my way.
"I have grown over the past years. I think I could step in now."
PSV could only manage a third-placed finish in the Eredivisie this season, missing out on the chance of Champions League qualification to Ajax and FC Twente.
Netherlands international Pieters admits he is hungry to dine at Europe's top table after coming so close this year.
"I yearn greatly for the Champions League," he added.
GREAT WE ARE TRYING TO FIND A REPLACEMNET FOR OUR LEFT BACK THAT WANTS AWAY TO PLAY CL FOOTBALL BY GOING AFTER.....A LEFT BACK THAT WANTS TO LEAVE HIS CLUB AS HE WANTS TO PLAY CL FOOTBALL. UNBELEIVABLE

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Yeah he wants to play c l football so hes going to sign

Agree0 Disagree0

Just cos he wants to play cl football doesn't mean he's good enough to get it. I'm fairly certain Perch would want to get cl football but what cl club would actually pay for him to get it?

Agree3 Disagree0

Champions League not Championship.

I know youtube can sometimes make players look better than they really are but wow just had a look at Ola Toivonen.
He seems to have the lot, right foot, left foot, can head the ball, scores form inside and outside the box, has pace and strength and creativity.
I hope the rumours are true as I think he would finish the chances our creative midflield will make.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=oB99SU8EdmU

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Haha I did exactly the same thing on my lunchbreak today and was gonna put a similar post on after watching him on Youtube.

He does look the real deal but I noticed he was captain during a few games? Surely PSV will want 7-10m for him?

Geo

Agree0 Disagree0

Just watched him on youtube pretty impressive...but are we in for him ? ...geordie tom

Agree0 Disagree0

No too costly

Agree0 Disagree1

To be h0nest If we got a montage of all ameobi's best moments, he would look quite good. but this guy does look very good

Agree2 Disagree0

Too good and would cost some money

Ed do you know if Ola Toivonen is our new striker target?
Ive heard the rumours about pardew watching psv to see him and Pieters, is there something in this?
Would be a good signing imo, both of them would be.

{Ed042's Note - Pieters interest is true, Toivonen is hear say, its just because he is at PSV too, not saying theres no truth to it because we have had interest in the past but Pardew was looking at Pieters, also assessing his progress since returning from injury}

Lads I am a United fan and I am also a fan of Obertan, he is a very good player but struggles with pressure. He will be your player of the season I guarantee you that.

Sydney!

Believable3 Unbelievable4

I mean Manchester United fan, sorry about that.

Sydney!

Agree1 Disagree1

Your saying he's going to be better than Ben Arfa and Cabaye?

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree with this post, Obertan was Bordeaux's star youngster and was dubbed the new 'Ronaldo'. I think when you sign for Man Utd there is a lot expected of you.

If he comes to us he will want to prove a point and watching some highlight of him for Bordeaux and Man Utd he looks good.

Geo

Agree2 Disagree1

Ha oh well struggles under pressure?

Agree2 Disagree0

I think he will play very well with his countrymen. It's a case of fitting them all in I guess. Would Neil Taylor replace Enrique? I think you will sign a top striker this summer. But I think you have a good first XI.

Hey ed great post site you've got I always use this for info :D I was thinking about who we could get in defence as cover for our centre backs and to push ssinpson a bit. I think that upson would be good as he is a free agent with experience and Stephen warnock would be my other choice out of favour and cheap :)

{Ed042's Note - Cheers mate.. personally would stick to the younger talent policy, and I dont rate either tbh even as back ups.. Eric Pieters is a good young player so glad to hear reported interest in him.. Eliaquim Mangala would be a very good signing too at CB but fair bit of competition for him.. as for pushing Simpson, Nathaniel Clyne would be my choice}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Is'nt clyne injured at the mo ED...are we in for a busy week on the transfer front ...geordie tom

{Ed042's Note - He is, was going to say "but hes injured" ha but as back up for Simpson would still be worth a punt, integrate him in over the season.. looks like it mate, plenty of names doing the rounds, 80% of it BS as always but should see more than Obertan come in the door over the next week or so}

Agree0 Disagree1

Well ...people put loads of names up but we'll not know till their thru the door cheers again m8...agree about clyne as back up ...geordie tom

Hope that the grant holt news is just paper talk he is not premiership level in my opinion , I would prefer to sign long , rondon or even kerrison , atleast he has potential and could be another one that Barca let slip through the net like Fabregas :D what do you think ed ?

{Ed042's Note - Paper talk, he is 30, captain of Norwich to benchwarmer for toon? plus their manager said hes not for sale}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

The papers are bored because we don't broadcast our intended signings until they're through the door (more or less anyway). Holt is exactly the kind of striker we don't need and aren't looking at.

The evidence can be found in our failed bids this summer for Gameiro, Gervinho and Erdinc. Pace and movement is the aim to play off our lumps of strikers already at the club.

I think we should test the water with a bid for FC Twente's Marc Janko. Scored at the weekend and was a prolific goalscorer for Red Bull Salzburg.

He is the type of player we need, someone who will score when chances are put on a plate and that will happen with our quality midfield.

I have just read on Tribal Football that Mallorca have bid £1.5m for Teteh Bangura. ALK Solna have rejected the bid and are looking for £3m.

Come on Toon, lets get a bid in there. Heis a proven goalscorer at lower level yes, but I think he could bang them in for us and at £3m its just as big a risk as buying Obertan.

Mallorca were in a relegation dogfight last year and we are a bigger club, so I think he would definately come to us. Also can't see Man U bidding for him cos after yesterday's display they clearly don't need anymore players.

Geo

Believable3 Unbelievable1

He won't get a work permit in England

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is that?

Agree0 Disagree0

I read it in an article a week or so ago, not played enough international games etc

Agree1 Disagree0

He would be a very good signing for us but as the other guy said we were in for him but he could not get a work permit

ED just wondering how can Tiote play for Ivory Coast in Switzerland?

{Ed042's Note - Current problem doesnt apply to playing for his home country, its a British work visa issue}

Alan Pardew traveled to Holland to watch Erik Pieters, which would be a possible substitute of Jose Enrique and Ola Toivonen.

before the end of the season, I mentioned that Toivonen and Erik Pieters, would be very good firms, there are 4 other players that I like very much.

Siem de Jong
Luuk de Jong
Nacer Chadli
Crhistian Erikssen.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Man City offered £20 million for Christain Erikssen and it was turned down. Can't see us offering anything better.

Toivonen would be an excellent signing.

pardew says "the glory days are over for newcastle, we cannot compete with the other clubs" looks like premiership survival is the mags only aim this AND every season, and with coloccini being offered a deal to play elsewhere and danny simpson refusing to sign a new deal along with the others you have sold even staying up is getting less likely. Niall quinn has got ambition for SAFC so looks like the RED AND WHITE ARMY the north east top dogs for a long time to come FTM.

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Pardew said we can't compete with the likes of Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City, Liverpool and used the sale of Carroll as an example but said we need to work towards becoming a great team AGAIN but it will take time. SMB. Do you know what it feels like watching the team you love playing in the Champions League? Cause we do and it's amazing.

Agree4 Disagree3

You can't compete with the top dogs either.. That doesn't mean a relegation battle. It means top half finish/mid-table. Which is all we will ever aspire to under Ashley, and all you will ever aspire to with Bruce.

Agree1 Disagree0

Keep dreaming SMB, deluded as ever. ALWAYS IN OUR SHADOW

Agree1 Disagree0

Sunderland fans Keep dreaming and enjoy the signing of already past it 29-30 year old players on far to much money making your club financially unstable in the years to come overspending and gambling the future away.

Agree0 Disagree0

NUFC and SAFC should take a look at the all time premier league table published today on MSN home page .To easy to guess who comes out highest
