Anyone's thoughts to maybe bring in adel taarabt? Creative player and can provide us an extra spark on the left wing. I'd like to see him in January or summer.

Done nothing to prove himself in the prem since he arrived. Championship level I recon.

Taarabt has started to show his form. He'd be a great buy.

Maybe Ba would be better off leaving the Toon. I know he is scoring all of our goals and is a real threat, but to hold the club to ransom about where he plays? Cisse is class and his movement off the ball is quality and we could do with a player who will play in the best position for the team not themselves.

What we need is a decent left winger or Santon needs to get forward more to supply decent balls in.

I also think that we have missed Raylor this season as it gives us a real dead ball threat and his crossing is class. I would love debuchy to join in January which is not beyond the realms of possibility, even if the player himself does not think this will happen.

We are a class team still and have only lost twice this season, touch wood... as long as we keep drawing away and win our home games we will start to ascend the table and will hopefully be able to match if not better last seasons performance.

We are possibly 3 maybe 4 players away from being a top 4 side and if we can get those players in without loosing many of what we have got then who knows what will happen.

I completely disagree with the ba and cisse thing. Ba has got a position and that is our centre forward, if cisse wants to play there then he's got to battle for it, so far he hasn't shown any of his true class this season and should either be benched or on the left wing. Ba is wasted on the left wing and there is no point playing him there. Gutierrez is still good but is not as good as last season. so maybe get a replacement for him. The thing is other teams have added to their squad but all we've done has added a half decent midfielder/defender and lost a bit of quality with a few players. We're doing too much defending this season so we need to bring in someone who is quick, has a spark and can really help tiote and cabaye in a 433 and give better supply. Whenever we get forward in a 442 there seems to be no support except to the side and behind. We rely too much on cabaye and HBA and you're right taylor is a big miss but unfortunately he is not quick enough to be a winger but maybe if he wasn't injured he could of played instead of gutierrez. Its the lack of supply which is why cisse is not scoring. This is where debuchy could come in for a better 442. simmo gives HBA no help at all down the right wing because his ball control and crossing is shocking. Jonas hasn't got the pace he used to which makes santon get forward who is superb at dribbling but needs to work on his crossing which then makes us vulnerable when the opposition is on the counter. So yes we need a proper left winger, zaha or tom ince would be quality or maybe bingham. We hardly have any competition up front so it releases pressure off cisse. so maybe someone like josh king. So at the moment we have sought of got worse than last season. And we also do need that cover defender, like douglas, alderweireld, wisdom or yanga mbiwa. I don't think we will be in a comfortable position up till january but i have confidence in AP and MA to bring some players in which will hopefully provide us a strong finish enough to get europa league or win a cup. So we might find ourselves doing a bit of an everton from last season. They got worse at the start but when january came they sorted things out and finished 7th and beat man city and tottenham.

If there was no issues why would pardew advise that dembas clause is still active in January?

I would love to see a new left winger and striker in January, but this is only likely to happen if Ba leaves.

We need a new centre half and RB and I would love Debuchey to join our ranks.
