just typed gervinho on google, clicked his wiki page and it says 'Gervais Yao Kouassi (born 27 May 1987), commonly known as Gervinho, is an Ivorian footballer who plays as a forward for English Premiership club Newcastle United FC.'
I know it's wiki but still looks good right?

Do people realise that gervinho is a winger/striker? We can't depend on him for all the goals IF WE GET HIM. So Pardew must have a couple of strikers up his sleeve. I don't think it will be Shane long.

Just watched France vs Ukraine
France won 4-1 and had a very young talented squad on !
. .Gameiro scored a screamer and looked dangerous !

on goal.com it says that wigan will sell N'Zogbia to newcastle if they pay 11m euros which is 8.9m pounds. but i think we can get him for 7.5m plus nile Ranger as he is up for sale. Newcastle will sign gervinho but for 10.7m pounds. Do you think Arsene Wenger will spend 15m pounds on someone who is on the final year of his contract. Also if we can get daniel sturridge as he looks to be out of chelseas plans for next season then it would be the icing on the cake and we could finnish in the top 6 rather than the top 10

People people please try and remain cam lol we are not 100% sure if gervinho is coming. The next fee days will be interesting. I don't think we will get gamerio, but if klose gies to valencia then gamerio might come. But let's try and get gervinho first. Adebayor would also be great for the toon on loan. But say we get gervinho gamerio and adebayor, what will happen to ameobie lovenkrands ranger best? Ranger sold or loan. I would not mind lovenkrands gone back to rangers as I support them. But let's waight and see if we get gervinho once one big name comes maybe others would follow???? Maybe your man ed could get us info on gervinho as he is normally right! {Ed001's Note - all I can find on Gervinho is that he has offers on the table and it is a personal decision. Newcastle have apparently made a real effort to persuade him to join, but it is uncertain what he wants to do.}

To be honest I'm not all that bothered if we let barton go in a year/ sell him now, we have many midfielders and although he's played well this season he does have silly wages. Nolan on the other hand is a vital member but he's got two years left. Give him a contract in a year.

If Gervinho goes to Arsenal, its not a problem, because of his name everyone thinks the lad is class, he'll struggle in the Prem, he won't get anywhere near as much time on the ball and the defences are much stronger. Hence why Arsene wenger is saying he won't go above £10mill

Daniel Sturridge is waiting on the appointment of Chelseas next manager. Guus hiddink will want to keep hold of big Dan so seems like this one is becoming increasingly unlikely. To be honest he has massively high ambition as do the fans of newcastle but unfortunately for us the manager, coaching staff and board don't seem to have the same fire in their belly.

Newcastle had a bid accepted for Gervinho believed to be around £10mill but arsenal also jumped in, it is thought Newcastle have now up'd there offer to £15mill for Gervinho with a take it or leave it offer, Arsenal do not want to pay more than £12million for him so looks like he will come to Tyneside. If Arsenal match Newcastles bid, we all know what will happen but I think Arsene Wenger was hoping it would be an easy swap for Bendtner, but as bendtners value is going down by the day and Gervinho's is going up, and with so much time left in the transfer window I think Arsenal might back out. Newcastle boss Alan Pardew appears to have won the race to sign Lille's £10million rated winger Gervinho.
The Ivory Coast international is set to depart the French Champions in the summer and he is now expected to join Newcastle, where he would link up with international team-mate Cheik Tiote.
Gervinho's agent has revealed his client will open talks with a Newcastle this week and a deal could be completed by the end of the week.
However, Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the past and Gervinho has been linked with a number of sides from across Europe, meaning Pardew may still face a battle to capture the 24-year-old.
