i really believe Pardew and Ashley are building a team to challenge for the top 4 so why would he spend in the winter just to sell in the summer look at the squad they have assembled so far and i'm not saying this is the first

team and the other the second but look at these two teams

krul
debuchy taylor Colo santon
cabaye tiote sissoko ben arfa
gouffran cisse

elliot
rtaylor mbewa perch Haidara
anita bigi jonas obertan
campbell marveaux

Looks like the makings of a strong squad

Believable12 Unbelievable6

First team is a very good midtable side the other a competative championship side.

Agree4 Disagree12

Good mid table side yeah yeah SMB. the team that just beat the champions of europe.

Agree5 Disagree2

Sunderland beat man city the champions of England and took four points off them last season the season they were champions, so by your theory because you beat chelsea your a top side, sunderland must be too.

Agree2 Disagree2

Actually no by our theory we are a top side because we finished 5th last season. Where have sunderland finished in the past few seasons? mid table. Fighting relegation, sunderland won't be a top side until another 10 years or so.

Agree1 Disagree1

No you fluked a 5th place last season, FLUKED and your proving that this season.

Agree1 Disagree1

Sunderland will be a top side in 10 years?OK well geordie at least you admit we are going to be a top side in the near future but I think less than 10 years.

Agree2 Disagree1

It's impossible to fluke a finishing league position. Every top team we have beat is because we know we have a good enough team to get top 4. We took 4 points of man u, 3 points off chelsea, 3 points off liverpool. We beat chelsea 3-2 because we commited players forward. We had about 5 players around or In chelseas box every time we attacked. How did sunderland beat man city?
Last season: they literally camped outside sunderlands box, while sunderland had 10 or 11 men behind the ball and just breaked with max 3 players and sessegnon passed to ji who was clearly offside.
This season: same thing again, you had 1 player in the box while Johnson took an ambitious shot which was such an easy save.
So sunderland basically fluked beating city.

Ya, like Andy Carroll is a bait to lure Nufc in giving up one of its crown jewels, we know how much AC is worth when we sold it to them, try Suarez instead of AC, Then just maybe you would get Ben Arfa. iToon

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Liverpools page is hilarious, they say they should only consider if it ben arfa PLUS cash for Carroll. They live on another planet them lot

Agree9 Disagree2

LOL they are slating HBA, they rekon he is poor. funny how the chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal fans would love to sign him, but not the Liverpool fans. lol they do make me chuckle, and what will make me chuckle even more will be when Surez leaves in the summer. lol

Agree4 Disagree0

Imagine supporting a club with no silverware coming in the near future whos greatest success is years behind them. How sad would that be!

Agree0 Disagree0

Does anyone remember Ben Arfa's game against Liverpool last season? He literally wrecked Enrique, the poor lad even fell over at one point! Reckon he's poor. Too funny.

ok, i'm just thinking of some players we could take from the potential clubs who might go down:
QPR:
Samba?-Wages might be high, but very reliable defender.
Remy-Not sure we would want him now for choosing QPR, but he is a talented striker.
M'bia-Utility player, would be useful.
Taarabt? Might be expensive but I think AC milan will go for him.
Aston Villa:
Benteke-Other bigger clubs might want him, but would be happy with bent eke
Bent-Very clinical and would be able to play on the wing, good backup as well.
Reading:
McCleary? very quick and I think underrated
Wigan:
Kone-Another underrated player, good feet, a complete striker
Di Santo?

Believable6 Unbelievable4

We will not go for any prem players as would cost owa full transfer ciddy we will always buy outside the prem as the players there are cheaper

Agree0 Disagree2

Dont get carried away, were still not out the woods yet?

Agree4 Disagree4

What about sessegnon, johnson, fletcher, rose albeit he's on loan, mignolet, ndiaye, larsson, Bramble lol, when safc go down.

Agree6 Disagree2

Sissoko has done more for us in two games than Johnson has done for 5under1and all season.

Heard Liverpool are sniffing round Ben Arfa, does anyone think he would even consider a move there?

How much of a loss would he be to us?

And how could ever replace him?

Views anyone?

Believable0 Unbelievable3

I don't think benny would want to go to liverpool, it would have to be a top 4 club or psg. Don't want AC, we'll just end up doing long ball crap. As we've shown in the past 2 games, we can live without ben arfa, but when we do have ben arfa next season, we can really fight for a champions league place. we won't sell benny for anything less than 20m.

Agree4 Disagree1

Liverpool are not living in the past at all, they are improving with every transfer window under brendan and are a top four to seven side now and will be an outsider for the title next season.

Newcastle are a sleeping giant I agree but liverpool are a massive step up for Ben arfa.

For gods sake liverpool have an unrivalled history in english football and still win trophies now even though people keep saying they are on a barren spell, they won the champions league not too long ago.

Agree6 Disagree6

Every player has his price, but Liverpool set the bar at £35 mill for AC. On that scale, if they want Benny they'd have to throw in Suarez as a makeweight!

OK I understand we should be patriotic and watch our country.

But would anyone else rather watch the France game!

So Brendan Rogers is trying to take HBA to scousepool in swap deal for Andy Carroll.
Get serious man and give your head a good shake.
Still thinking they're a top club and living in the past

Believable7 Unbelievable4

BR must be out of his mind.

Why would we swap one of the best attacking players in the world for a Duncan Ferguson style player.

Agree5 Disagree1

Yeah imagine only having limited results from years ago and having to live in the past!

Anyone heard the news that Liverpool want to buy HBA and use Carroll as bait to get the deal done?. Maybe i'm alone but I have been enjoying the new guys and the way the team is playing at present and things look on the UP! I for one don't want AC back at the club! It would be a sad day when revert to that hoofball crap that we played when he was here, and he's not quick enough or skilled enough to play with our current team so my question is. Do any of you lads want him back?
SAGEORDIE OUT.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

We've always complained that Pardew doesn't have a plan B, may Carroll is plan B?
Obviously swap for Ben Arfa is off the cards (I think bigger and better teams than 'pool will go for him).
