Anyone been watching the reserves recently? Beat villa 5-0 Arma getting 2.

Beardo doing very well as manager, playing brilliant attacking football. Would like him to replace carver as assistant manager or at least first team coach

Then Manager because he knows what is all about at Newcastle unlike the owner and current manager

Not been on for ages as I was fed up not being able to say anything positive. great results recently and the defending has improved since the Tottingham game so all looking good at the moment. 4 good results does not change my mind about Pardew but fair play to the bloke he stuck it out and has found a way to win using what he has available, perhaps all the crowd baiting made him have a rethink about his tactics, and his blind loyalty to players who were just not performing? Who knows but at least it looks positive at the moment I just hope we do not get complacent against West Brom who we should be beating.

Spire, wba will test our consistency.

I've always wanted the likes of aarons, ameobi, perez, abeid etc to be given a chance and players like gouffran to be dropped, it seems pardew has finally realised that developing more youth players is the way forward under ashley.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair to Gouffran he probably needed to be dropped. When you are out of form in a team that has won 2 in 17 then it is a miracle if you can rediscover it.
Pardew becomes complacent too quickly, he seems to get the best results when under intense pressure and threatened with the sack.

I think the players and manager need to set higher expectations of themselves. Right now we have to stick with the lads who are performing and build the team round a solid backbone. Our back 4 look settled.

Collback abeid and sissoko should be given a few more games together but seem a good unit.

the front 3 is up for debate. Cabella's presence has won us games. I am just concerned that we lack physical presence with cabella perez and aarons so we need cisse up front if cabella is to start.

Sammy does a better job of tracking back. I don't think any of us are sure of our best 11 yet. Still think we need a bit more physicality in the team. The energy and pace is good.

On the physicality thing, that is why we play the front 3 in behind the defence on the floor. It works, liverpool did it last year with suarez, Sturridge and sterling.

Sissoko starting to prove what a good player he is when played in the right position of box to box.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree on sissoko. If we had sturridge, strling and suarez I wouldn't be concerned but we have sammy, perez and aarons.

you only have too look at liverpool without suarez to see how hit and miss the formation is. Don't get me wrong jtoon it is the best formation for the players we have.

I am just concerned that everytime we fit form it seems to be pivotal on one player. This time sissoko has been the catalyst. I can see him leaving for bigger things soon. Then we fall apart again because we rely too heavily on one player.

Agree0 Disagree0

A Playmaker like Cabaye would ensure Sissoko would be pushed out wide again and that does not work.

With a Playmaker brought in who wants to be part of the squad and not a prima dona who knows he won't play every game Newcastle along with a couple of quality signings can be good to watch and finish in a comfortable position.

Eveyone is looking forward to the weekends now unlike 4 weeks ago.

Great point Des about Pards getting complacent and the results dipping, hopefully he has realised this and keeps the intensity on the training field so results continue.
