Would like to see us maybe go into Spanish, Italian and dutch markets. Players we should look at:
Bony (already linked with him) 12m
Lorenzo Insigne-9m small but pacey, think he's being linked with mackems but whatever
Ruben ligeon 3m cover for right back maybe.
Douglas-on a free could be worth a punt.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Douglas - please people research the player and if he has signed for anyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Stick, to home grown players man. all these forigheners will get us relegated, they are only hear for the money, were is the next beardsley

Agree0 Disagree0

''all these forigheners [sic] will get us relegated''

Do you know how much Cabaye, Ben Arfa and a few others could be getting at other clubs?

I will give you a clue, a LOT more than we are paying them. They could put in transfer requests and get bigger money elsewhere if they really wanted too.

Maybe we need an Andy Carroll, he is a good ol' English lad. oh my mistake, my memory failed me for a minute, he is at Liverpool making a packet.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal were the first to put out a team entirely of foreigners, and it's not done them much harm. And Man C have one or two Oh, aye, Chelsea, they have a few. And Man U, of course. So what's your complaint, again? Ours aren't much cop? I thought Carr was your hero.

Agree0 Disagree0

The original Beardsley is one of our coaches. Perhaps he had a good CV, once.

Williamson and James Perch can do commendable job if called upon for short stint, I personally like to keep them in our squad, but surely Ameobi's and Dan gosling has to go and so is Obertan. The main question is, if we have another season like the last one, full of injuries for our international first teamers, who do we fall back to?. Sure, Anita, Marveux, Bigi and Shane Ferguson has done enough but i'd like to see a bit more quality in our squad.

iToon.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Keep taking the tablets We need Quality players not stop gaps

Agree0 Disagree0

Shane Ferguson has NOT done enough, not by a long way. He is well off the standard we need, even as back-up (maybe it's a confidence?)

Agree0 Disagree0

Perch would be worth keeping hold of as he is very versitile good for cover on the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

Williamson has not done one single 'commendable' thing for us, he needs to go as does Jonas. Perch fits where we need him, worth keeping I think.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bottom line is that Perch and Willo aren't good enough for a first-team place. They take up places in the squad that could be occupied by better, and if they left it would free up a bit of the pay budget

See the mackems are after more free transfers and cheap players lol.

They must be preparing for the championship.

Forever in our shadow. They will never be a world giant like us.

They are not our rivals. Manchester United city chelsea madrid barca etc are our rivals.

I don't agree 100% with jesmond geordie but he spoke a lot of sense and facts.

MAGPIE AND PEAS

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Wouldn't be surprised if you were JESMOND GEORDIE, how do you figure that those teams are our rivals? Because we finished fifth a year ago? Or is it because we've got passionate fans which is what JESMOND GEORDIE seems to base it all on.

Agree0 Disagree0

My God, this crank uses 2 different names to post, and thinks that nobody will twig on. Get a life for heavens sake, you look totally foolish. {Ed004's Note - It isn't the same poster unfortunately}

Agree0 Disagree0

True that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Might I remind you how much we paid for ba

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed: surely there can't be two of them? Heaven forbid.

Agree0 Disagree0

3 weeks ago our rivals were Qpr, Reading, Wigan, never mind all that crap you are spewing out, are you daft or what.

Agree0 Disagree0

You Geordies always had a reputation for being deluded, away with the fairies and living in your own bubble, believing in the media bull. A nationwide source of entertainment in that circus you call a football club.

But now your getting irritating and hated with HATED being the important word.

If your club and fans had more class you would be a great club and a credit to the region but you just keep letting yourselves down. you are a sleeping giant so its a shame.

You really do though sound like you have an inferiority complex, whether that is about sunderland or Manchester United I don't know but if sunderland ever won anything you would be bitter as hell.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm a mackem but starting to think that Jesmond Geordie and Magpie and Beans are the same person, how sad is it trying to support your other alias because even your own fans think your an person! if it is two people then your own fans think your both persons, this magpie and peas said your bigger than liverpool on our site, my god talk about making you g0rdi3s look foolish!

Agree0 Disagree0

Someone get a tissue for the Mackems.

Dear lord, there is lamenting, gnashing and weeping here.

Just accept we are a bigger club than you are. Why deny it?

Accept the facts amigos.

According to our revenue stream, if we were in La Liga we would be the 3rd biggest club, only behind Real Madrid and Barca.

Facts are facts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Utterly stupid comment. We are local rivals with sunderland. I agree with you that we are the bigger club but we are not rivals with man u, barca etc. However next season or the season after we should be competing with the likes of Everton, maybe spurs if they haven't got bale.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland have more titles and won a cup more recently, it goes by silverwear so sunderland are the bigger club. Facts are facts.

Newcastle were formed in 1992 by keegan and co so your a relatively big club for a club just over twenty years old.

Also your fans are nothing special. Sunderlands are.

Over the last twenty years Newcastle have finished runner up in the Prem, been in the champions league etc, Europa league, fa cup finals.

Sunderland have been relegated with record low points TWICE oh and finished 7th twice nothing else to shout about yet our crowds are similar to yours.

sunderlands home support is awesome what other club in sunderlands situation could have a 40kplus average and sell out nearly every away game?we have had nothing to shout about for years, you lot have.

Clubs are pretty even in most areas, if you are bigger its not by much.

Newcastle average 50k fine but you have had far more to shout about than sunderland. If Sunderland finished second had been in the champions league etc we would be getting 70k now.

Agree0 Disagree0

How does he make us look foolish? It is one person opinion albeit a silly one no doubt a little bit of banter to get the desired affect from the unwashed. Calling this guy foolish when you have a page full of your own with your fantasy wishlists and push for Europe with ever new manager you get is foolish.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is the mackem upset you think? Throwing words like hated around with no foundation. Hated is what you would like us to be when really we are most peoples second team. Nobody has ever really heard of 5under1and. It like when you lot go on holiday you all say you are from Newcastle, if you said Sunderland people would be like where? Small club, always in our shadow.

Agree0 Disagree0

40 k average at the stadium of S**t. You are deluded. More empty seats than full ones. 70k if you had our recent history. You would have to build a stadium for that, since you built a stadium for 40k it suggest that is the maximum you can attract and that is only when you have a concert.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the chap who is chatting about attendances. don't forget NUFC hold the record for the highest attendance in the Championship!

Agree0 Disagree0

Highest attendance in the championship that's something to brag about

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland hold the record attendance out of both clubs in our history FACT! yes the average attendance at sunderland for the past 2 seasons has been over 40,000 FACT but that's nothing to brag about, sorry but two fans saying you rivals are barcelona, real madrid ect and say your one of the top 5 clubs in the world is just making you lot look a complete joke!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderlands average attendance 12/13 was 40, 544 so yes an average of 40k.

If sunderland had anything to shout about over the last twenty years ie finished second, played in Europe etc etc they would have to increase the sol capacity to 64k what its capable of being.

We average 40k (away fans are also generally poor at the sol so if the visitors brought decent numbers we would average 44k?) sell out nearly every away game.

Who else similar to us never been in Europe since 1973, never finished above 7th, generally a yoyo club, won nothing, no finals, no big name signings as such. could average 40k who?

You get 50k but you have had a lot more to shout about than us.

We are a sleeping giant and it scares you doesn't it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland hold the record for biggest atrendance for a RESERVE MATCH. We had two 30,000 plus gates Liverpool and Man U, Liverpool was free Man U. wasn't, think it was the 98/99 season when all 3 teams won their respective leagues, first team, reserves and youths.

Also when we were recently in the championship we had a few 48k crowds so your 51k didn't beat us by much.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland are not a sleeping giant

Agree0 Disagree0

We averaged 50, 500 season 12/13. So what's your point both had s**t seasons? You can't include concert tickets in your average.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland are a sleeping giant. The fan base is there if we got any kind of success the club would take off. FACT.

I would love to see us trying to sign someone like Thomas Ince or Nathan Redmond, young English talent who would cost between 7-10 million, and would match our transfer policy.

Also think PEA or Bony will join in the next 3 weeks, as Pardew will want to start strengthening before pre-season.

If we lose Ben Arfa to big spenging Monace, would love to see us replace him with Dries Mertens from PSV, would be a fantastic addition, I would like to see him join even if we keep Ben Arfa. Especially as Gutierrez had a terrible season last year.

cabaye to spurs defoe to us plus 15 mill?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That's a good one, Defoe +15 million, really?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not a chance. Spurs have offered him to Villa as part of a Benteke deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Never going to happen but I don't think the OP's valuation is out at all. Defoe must be worth little more than 15. I think cabaye is worth 20m.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon + 12m for cabaye

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye 15m
To man utd, PSG or Monaco

Agree0 Disagree0

15 mill for defoe? he's getting on,

no chance carrol coming, £100,000k a week, let's stop this rumour once and for all, let's see which players actually want to come then make decissions,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That could just be a ruse to get out of signing for West Ham.

If a player does not want to sign for another club all they have to do is make unreasonable wage demands to scupper the deal.

He is maybe thinking that if he holds his ground he will get games at Liverpool. Suarez is off, Sturridge is injured, and Borini is rubbish.

Either that or he is thinking the only club he will sign for is us.

If he signs for West Ham he will end up like Kevin Davies, wasted at the wrong end of the table.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is carrol on 100k

Agree0 Disagree0

He will be wasted at the wrong end of the table if he signs for you, s as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Carroll is on a basic 60k a week, he has bonus addons that make it up to 80k a week.

That's what I read anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't really want carroll, we need a pacey striker who can beat the offside trap, a defoe type player

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see us bringing in 3 top quality players, two strikers and a versitile attacker (Someone who can play CAM or LW) then a few players for competition (2 centre backs, right back and a winger) and youths. from France, Holland and maybe Spain hopefully (Thats what we should do)

The players leaving will be:
Harper-free
Simpson-free
Williamson-1m
Coloccini-san lorenzo
Obertan-2m
Gosling-2m
Jonas-2m
Ameobi-1m

Players coming in will be: (This is what I think will happen not necessarily what I want)
Alex Pearce-free
Douglas-free
Tom Ince-8m
Wilfried Bony-11m
Brown Ideye-8m
Boubedouz-2m
Young right back (2-4m maybe Ligeon from ajax?)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We are are going to sign 2 players. IF players leave then maybe we might replace them not a chance fatty will bank roll that kind of spending.

Agree0 Disagree0

Douglas has signed for Kuzan. Catch up, lad.

Agree0 Disagree0

Two players? You've been taken in by the Journal? I'll say it again: NOBODY knows. The press is drip-fed stories to manage the gullible. Remember the Journal forecasting 5 signings in Jan? Me neither.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ola Toivenan is available for less for than £4m, would be a good signing I think and give us that aeriel threat AP was talking about. I wonder if PSV would accept a £20m bid for him and Dries Mertens? A front 3 of Mertens/Toivenan/HBA woudl be pretty awesome.
Ed do you know about the availability or potential price tag on Mertens? {Ed001's Note - all I know is that they will listen to offers, though that is not really news as Dutch sides don't have enough money to do any different! But that is their official line regarding him, when discussing him between clubs.}

Discussions afoot for Cabaye and HBA
& Tiote transfers along with fringe players
50m+ in so with TV money etc 160m+
Spending 25/30m for players coming in. Ashley 5 year plan
really working now FOR HIM

Never mind holidays nearly over for Clowns Pardy and
Llambias fun should start soon.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you think that Ashley will put that towards transfers,
We will have 15-20m, can buy a few good players with that, remember all the money we spent in Jan
If you think we're gunna get all that money, you're in for a very disappointing summer

Agree0 Disagree0

NUFC owes Ashley £100m, and he can take it out any time they have that much in readies. He has to weigh up what effect that would have on the club's chances of staying in the Prem. I reckon he got a nasty shock last season and will strengthen significantly. The club would be no great asset to Sports Direct if it went down.

Ed, do you know anything about this dynamo Kiev striker, Brown Ideye? I heard that he's got his heart set on Newcastle. He's got a pretty good goals to games ratio. Do you know whether he's got good aerial threat or is he quite quick like a jermain defoe type striker?
Cheers. {Ed001's Note - I haven't seen him play yet, sorry.}
