why Michael laudrup have you seen his record for swans it was crap that's why they where in the bottom three I think Roberto di Matteo would be loads better

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Nope, laudrup will bring the style of football every geordie craves. he will give us that stability and has proved he is a good manager by winning a trophy in his first season.

Get him in while he's available.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unbelievable

Agree0 Disagree0

I could say the same thing about di Matteo? He won the champions league with negative tactics, but other than that what has he done in his career?

Agree0 Disagree0

Laudrup over De matteo anytime for me the football would be much more entertaining.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's hard to judge Michael Laudrup's style of play because at Swansea he had to play the Swansea way but he seemed to be trying to change that and I've not seen the other teams he's managed play under him so it's hard to tell what his style is.
But Pardew will be here for as long as Ashley owns the club so it's all irrelevant.

Agree0 Disagree0

With laudrup's style of play, he needs to be given time. he had less than 18/19 months at swansea, he'd do brilliant here I reckon, perfect man for us.

But you're right SC7, ashley will keep pardew, let's hope ashley sells in the summer and takes pardew with him.

Agree0 Disagree0

How come he lost so many games with his great tactics. brilliant to watch but lose all the time i'm sure that would go down well with the faithful

Agree0 Disagree0

Forget it neither if these would touch Newcastle Get back to more pressing matters GET RID of Ashley

Agree0 Disagree0

Tactics like laudrup's don't just click within a year, it takes time. Especially when your main focal point/spearhead of the team is out injured (michu)

on their day, they play the best football in the league. Geordies want to see attractive, attacking football, and with our squad, he can do that.

look at rodgers, he only got swansea to 11th in the league in his first season, and liverpool took him, and he's flourishing there.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jtoon are you his agent. your so up laudrup

Agree0 Disagree0

H agree baldygeordie, the ed's are changng the name of this site to the Jtoon banter site

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep just about everyday JT
But he has done well at Swansea who play some very good football BUT they sacked him. I heard in Spain and Greece he is not held in high esteem might be his pesonality but all credit he did well building at team in the UK and nicked the striker we should have had Bony

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats mainly because I like expressing my views and hearing other peoples opinions.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he join? wasn;t laudrup unhappy with th elack of investment at swansea? is Mike Ashley really going to pump money into this club that Laudrup will want?

Agree0 Disagree0

That's fine JT just change the record now and again

Seriously, we cannot just let this opportunity pass by to get a young top quality manager like Michael Laudrup in. He will bring us the mouthwatering football that all geordies crave. Sunderland are currently playing some great football, and there's just no way pardew is going to get us playing football as good as them.

It was a mistake for swansea to sack laudrup, maybe he never really had that connection with the fans, I personally think a lot of fans including me will take to him, and he will take to us. He can install a new brand of football at the club, we haven't seen that since the days of Sir bobby robson. Possession, fluid, attacking football is what he would bring and I would love to see that week in week out. He also has the bottle to have a go at cups, unlike pardew.

I've had enough of pardew, all these excuses (especially the "maybe we were too hyped up for the derby") the lack of confidence in the players, him and his coaching staff not being able to get the best out of the likes of ben arfa, whereas laudrup can.

Whether its now or after the next two games, or at the end of the season, we have to sack pardew and bring in Laudrup. winning a trophy in your first season in the premier league is NOT the sign of a bad manager.

Pardew out, Laudrup in.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

2 points off relegation hardly makes me believe he is the right man.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't care, he won a cup in his first season and got them playing some of the best football in the league

I think this could be the start of ashley selling up. wouldn't suprise me if by march he's gone. £20m in his back pocket. biggest asset club had. its a bonus on top of what he'd get for the club.

Get more for a top 8 club than one whivh finishes

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hope that's the case, I'm just not to sure!
Does anyone know exactly what the crack is with the loans owed to Ashley, can't see him selling until he's recouped every penny!

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets hope so.

Garth crooks thinks that Laudrup is a brilliant manager with a lot of knowledge, and his money is on Laudrup to replace pardew at newcastle

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Garth crooks. would take more notice of jokinear.

No way ML would come to toon. no money. no ambition. no chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep preaching it Danni and the penny will eventually drop. We are not a normal Premiership club and these suggestions about Ladrup etc replacing Pardew are nonesense and no will accept the job IF Pardew leaves unless the are subservient to Ashley and need the money.
