Why is it that apparently we are only joint 4th because the top clubs have had a bad season?! If that was anywhere near true why aren't everton, fulham, stoke or even Sunderland closer to the top six at the moment! Fact is where ever we finish in the league 3rd,4th,5th,6th we deserved to finish there because for the first time since the great sir bobby era we have got players who want to play for the shirt. And selling club?! The players that left wanted to go for money! Not to further their career! Barton and nolan really left for ambition! Carroll left because he was forced out? Boll!?ks! Enrique left thinking he was a Newcastle legend! He is starting to get found wanting like he was the season we got relegated! Pardew has got it spot on so far and we are reaping the rewards. He didnt bring Ben afra into the team until it was right for the team. Same for santon. The boys are doing what is asked of them and win lose or draw are last two games, things are looking up. Sorry bout the rant just annoyed were not getting the credit we deserve.

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Its only jealous and bitter people who club(s) aren't performing as well as our. Especially on the tight budget we have done it with. The league is the most competitive in the world and on any giving day any team can beat another. Where a team finishes in the league is where the deserve to over the season.

Average point per position over last 10 seasons
3rd-76 points
4th-68 points
5th-62 Points
6th-60 Points
Current League Points
3rd-66 Points
4th-65 Points
5th-65 Points
6th-61 Points
Potential Points Total
3rd-72 Points
4th-71 Points
5th-71 Points
6th-67 Points

The top teams have not had bad seasons, stats show that, bar 3rd place, each team is on course to finish above average in terms of league position and points total.

Would also like to agree with the point made in the above post, if the top teams haven't had a good season, then why aren't any of the other clubs up here with us, there's 9 points between 6th and 7th.

The media are just pissed coz we've upset their "top 6" love in of manu, manc, chel, spurs, arse and liv.
They never want to give us any credit, then when we get to the position we're in now and have too, they cant wait to knock us down and bring out such phrases as those "delusions geordies" thought they had a chance of champions league etc.
Not only would it be great for us if we got champions league it would be good for football.

Within touching distance of champions league and much deserved,What are next seasons expectations?.

Pardew for manager of the year for me,but Carr deserves the most plaudits what a scout he is,forget players getting poached as he could be top of the big clubs wish list.

Imagine Cisse upfront with Shearer wow would love to see them together in this team.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Shearer would not have played with Cisse because he would have outclassed him. Glad to see the back of Shearer, he thought he was bigger than the club

Agree3 Disagree10

Glad to see the back of shearer?!?! Are u serious mate, he was probably the most loyal player and fan to ever play for us!

Agree9 Disagree2

Oh he thought he was so big and rejected the chance to go to man u on more than one occasion?! He is a legend of the club and i cant see any possible argument suggesting otherwise!
Jack

Agree5 Disagree0

Don't believe for one second that a geordie wrote that. SMB.

Agree2 Disagree0

Yeah im guessing it was a Mackem like.

Agree2 Disagree0

Shearers trophy cabinet oh its on his mantle piece

Agree0 Disagree0

Who do you think will be remembered the longest. Shearer or Ray Kennedy?
The latter had medals of all types coming out of his ears but did he break goal scoring records, have a section of the ground named after him and become a club and national legend?.
If you think the be all and the end all of football is just about having things in a trophy cabinet you are very sad.
There will be footballers with medals who people can't even recall if they mentioned their name.

Agree2 Disagree0

Big al! The best there is the best there was the best there ever will be!

Agree3 Disagree0

Defo a makem tell him to come back when they can get a striker that that can score 30 goals a season for 3 consecutive seasons let aloan 30 girls in 1 season...or a sriker who was englands no.1 striker for 10 years won top scores at euro,s and holds the record in premiership all time top scorer than no one is near yet....

Agree1 Disagree0

Wait a minute didn't SUPER KEVIN PHILLIPS WIN THE EUROPEAN GOLDEN BOOT.So was the best striker in the whole of europe that season and Shearer said before that season started that no striker will ever get 30 plus a season ever again the muppet.

sre we defo in europe or is there a way we can finish 5 or 6 and not get in any of the 2 tournaments

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Nope it was secured thanks to Andy Carroll's header Vs Everton.

Agree1 Disagree1

Nope it was secured by the hard work all season. Carrol has nothing to do with it. SMB.

Agree5 Disagree0

Yeah ok we worked hard, i meant by the fact it's Chelsea vs Liverpool in the FA cup so we defo get europa.

Gotta admit even as a United fan, I am loving what Pardew has done with Newcastle. Him and his scouts must have a really good eye, I had heard nothing of Cabaye, Tioté or Papiss Cissé until they were signed for you guys and all have been impressive.

Really hope you guys can pull off the win against City (for obvious reasons) and i think you could easily land in 3rd come the end of the season.

Pardew should be Manager of the Season for me, and Papiss goal last night - no other goal stands a chance of taking goal of the season away from him.

Good luck and PLEASE stuff the sh*t out of City.

Tbh honest mate i never much liked united but when the likes of chelski ans city spend £250 million thinking they can buy the league i much prefer fergie and united to do it every time as fergie is a master of developing players...same goes for daglish he thinks it 1993 when he gets bankrolled to win the premiership with blackburn he has tried to do it gain buts backfired look at them now....

Agree0 Disagree2

How much has utd spent wont be far off them teams

Agree1 Disagree1

Yawn yawn and how much did newcastle spend under a certain kk compared to saf at man utd and still won sweet fa money can bring success but ye need a good manager to bring it. do you think if pardew was given the money to bring in big names it would improve the club or distabalise it the rumours where he couldn't handle nolan and barton off the field so thats why they went will be interesting to see newcastles transfers in the summer will they by big or go along with carrs signings and hope they can unearth some more players like they have

Agree1 Disagree1

No it wont, but the spending over time will be completely different.

Utd have spent 200mill or whatever over 10-14 seasons, whereas city and chelski have spent that over two.

Agree1 Disagree1

At the end of the day i think every nufc fan thought getting £4 million for nolan and letting barton go on a free was a bad choice by nufc but have a look now was it good or was it bad cos barton and nolan have done sweet F A tbh

Cisse is on fire... Surely goal of the season, better than that fluke by crouch

Believable6 Unbelievable1

It was also a fluke.

Agree0 Disagree7

Not sure i like these as goal of the seasons like indivual goals myself but both were strikes out the top draw

Honest Question...Was anybody else left slightly aroused by Cisse's Second Goal Last Night?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Slightly? I blew up

Agree1 Disagree0

Slightly aroused.....full on aroused

Agree1 Disagree0

Haha phew just checking i wasn't the only one lol

Agree1 Disagree0

I was there, there was a unanimous orgasm in the away section!

Agree0 Disagree0

W**kbank material watched it about 10 times now

Agree0 Disagree0

Hard to believe geordies with erections apparently people of Newcastle City buy more Viagra than anywhere else in the uk was in the mail the other week.

Agree1 Disagree1

The way they go on on here think they all on viagra

Just like to say to you Newcastle fans you were excellent tonight and so were the fans could hear them and i was on the other side of the ground. Both Cisse's goals were World Class i think Santon was amazing too just won't get the credit like Cisse but i hope you get 4th place until we win the CL ;) Your team has a bright future!
Zola25

Believable11 Unbelievable1

That was nice and good to see 7 people agreeing with him if newcastle finish 4th and chelsea win the cl then its europa league if he was giving praise why not say 3rd i think that cockney talks with forked tounge
