Total crap if they want £8 million euros and big mike as offered £7 million then deal would be done as we deal in pounds they deal in euros and 8 million euros would be roughly 7 million pounds.....k {Ed026's Note - £7m is actually as near as makes no difference 9 million euros.

why are we making a offer for douglas when he cant play till mid sept, now inter are in the race to sign debuchy, y doesnt ashley just give pardew the money and stop waiting around to save 1 r 2m

If you were buying a car would you just rush into a deal and pay 1000-2000 over what you think its worth just to get that car, knowing that there are similar cars within your budget out there? Why would ashley just waste extra money when he believes a deal can be struck at his price? He is a very shrewd business man, hence why he is a billionaire you dont get there paying over the odds for things do you? And certainly not by chucking an extra couplenof million willy nilly do you! Nothing to do with 1/2m Douglas must say in Holland úntil the end of August (read the press)

Inter have been intrested foe about a month but debuchy still states he wants to come to the toon to link up with cabaye so dont panic.....k

Douglas has to stay until the 24th of August, He will probably sign for Newcastle the next day.

He onyl has to stay there to gain a work permit for Holland, he wants to play for them and not Brazil...
