The kids really give us that flair and passion and that goes well with experience like Raylor and Coloccini. And now that pardew's giving the youth a chance it is making more competition for the first team.

433 has always been the best formation for us as it's very flexible. Would like to see this against Liverpool:
Krul, Janmaat, Saylor, Coloccini, Dummett, Sissoko, Colback, Raylor, Cabella, Perez, Ameobi
Aarons and Armstrong as impact subs.

Hopefully the penny has dropped with Pardew. 4 5 1 worked for us when we had remy and cabaye.

it is clear to us all that the pace we have in the team is wasted in that system. will pardew finally see sense?

I'm sure most would agree that if we played like we did on Weds Pardew wouldn't have any problems.

So pull your head inPards and start showing a bit of intent to win a game. You certainly have an exciting group of players.

back again lol. don't want to over hype the lad but I think someone somewhere really needs to tie Aarons down to a long term contract pretty sharpish with let's say £20m buy out. I really do think the kid is going to be something special. and I don't see it being all that long before you see him and sterling both wearing an england strip together. I already think he is better than anything else England have on the left and the boy works hard tracking back too. Bit early for him yet and needs to prove it over a few more game but well every tournament has to have one surprise selection hehehe. looking forward to comparing them at weekend. assuming Pardew is bold enough to play him again.

The kid will be a star, but if we are going to include a buy out clause it needs to be way more than 20mil as a club like city or chelsea will buy him before he has even proven himself and he'll be a bench/reserve warmer.

{Ed025's Note - a bit too early in the piece to be comparing him to sterling jtoon, looks like he has a lot of potential but sometimes it does not come to fruition mate, i hope they treat him properly and dont burn him out, he is very young and should be treated with kid gloves imo..

Eds right, Aarons is prime for a pardewing!

Ok so after sleeping on it I can only be even more happy with last night. lots of things caught my attention. Raylor, really helped balance the team. having him infront of janmaat means janmaat has the confidence to push on knowing Raylor is more than capable of covering. Similar on the other side. Haidara is lacking a bit defensively but loves to get forward when he can and him and Aarons work perfectly thanks to Aarons work rate and covering at left back. at times we had 5 or 6 at the back when doubling up in defence on the at left and right back. Another plus was dummet. showed he can cover CB easily thought he played really well. and then there is Obertan. what have they been feeding him. totally agree with comments about 433 it really does work for us. and we saw at times several variations when attacking and defending etc. the team simply looked well balanced. I think some other squad members will be worried. And another well done for Raylor really deserved it.

Do u think cabella is better suited to 4 3 3?

I'd like to see us trying cabella cisse and aarons as the front three, sissoko, raylor and either collback or abeid behind them. with in form obertan to come off the bench to change the game

but alas we will go 4 5 1 again

Agree0 Disagree0

I think cabella would be very suited to 433 but at the minute i'd have cabella coming on as an impact sub for either Aarons or obertan depending on how its going. if its not broke don't fix it. can you imagine the pace we would have with a front 3 of Obertan, perez, Aarons. that's a scary thought lol. hope perex does an Aarons and bulks up a bit.

Absolutely ecastic. And I think tonight really made a statement that the players are still definitely behind Pardew. Whether we like pardew or not, we have to give credit to him and the players, for an excellent gameplan and a wonderful result. One of Raylor's best ever performances in a toon shirt, and the kids played well and looked hungry.

Bring on liverpool! Howay the lads!

Funnily enough Jtoon Last night showed how much we have missed raylor. He was a key part in finishing 5th with some crucial goals and as part of a solid defence. Someone else suggested raylor as a defensive midfielder. His passing and dead ball ability would be a real plus for me.

It is great to finally be proud of the performances again. Hopefully Pardew has the courage to keep faith and play those who perform.

Sissoko is looking more like our next captain each time he plays.
