Use our rumours form to send us newcastle transfer rumours.

I don't know whether to judge pardew or not. If we win the Derby, get 13th or higher and pick up our away form then pardew gets another season to prove himself. Next season will be slightly better as we hopefully won't have all the injuries and we'll have less games. Next season, if we're not 9th or higher, then pardew should go.

I'd like to see us go back to 433 or 442 In the next few games.

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Personally I think every manager in the Premiership could get more out of our squad than what Pardew has.

Pardew is no better than O'niell, both play extremely defensive football the only difference is Pardew still has a job.

Have we won a game with cabaye as skipper yet?

Dissapointing performance today

Believable11 Unbelievable0

Watched the game today, dissapointed, didn't expect much, but the manner was dissapointing.
let's get behind the team for the remaining games, i'm sure we can pick up enough points to see us safe, but my backside is beggining to twitch.

Haidara and vuckic are the future of newcastle IMO, if vuckic hadn't Been injured this season, we wouldn't need to feild rubbish like obertan and gosling and he'd be improving constantly

Believable1 Unbelievable0

I could not agree more.

Vuckic is the future of Newcastle, playing in alongside Cabaye.

Adam Campbell is going to be ready soon too.

Lets get those 3 fit and trained up for next season, and we cold be onto something.

Agree1 Disagree0

Vuckic the future. on what basis

Agree2 Disagree0

Im bored of hearing about all this vuckic potential!

I wish it was true! however he's been at the club for what. three years now. and done nowt, fair enough he's been injured this year, but I think its all hype! I dnt think he'll ever get in our first team as a starter!

Agree1 Disagree1

If he's been at the club for 3 years then ge was 17 when he joined, of couse he's not made an impact, he's still a kid, some players make a suprise impact like sterling others are slow burners like drogba, all we know so far is he's got great tecnique, his a big strong lad and he can strike a ball. Next couple of seasons are crucial but I don't doubt the hype

Agree1 Disagree0

Sad to say but Vuckic will probably be a different player when he comes back. He'll be more cautious and less mobile. Maybe in a couple of years if there has been no recurrence then he'll step up a bit more, but I really fear there'll be too much pressure on him.

Agree0 Disagree1

He is only 20 years old, He will be starting to get sub appearences next season, and then season after that he should be a regular for us. Think along the lines of Rob Lee.

We did not beat of Manchester United & Chelsea who were bloodthirsty to sign this player because he is a maybe.

I can't believe some people are calling for Pardew's head! We went away to the champions, without 6 first team starters. Yes we lost 4-0 but I can't remember Mancs playing that well for a long time. We caught them on a very good day for them, and that's football, that happens. I agree that Pardew's "let then come at us" tactics were poor today, and why obertan started ahead of Marveaux I have no idea. His substitution at half time I think spells the end of his career here. I'd be very surprised if he got another appearance. Bad day at the office, we move on. Get behind the boys next week, we have some winnable games coming up and any negativity will translate to the pitch. We need as many points as we can in the next few games, and the derby couldn't come at a better time. The crowd will be up for it and they're going to get relegated. A good thrashing of 5under1and and I think we'll be safe. Give the man another season with summer signing then we can judge.

Believable4 Unbelievable12

That's the problem we are light years behind and were absymal Hopeless inept and should be fined by the trading standards for saying we are a football team

The problem lies before January and the incompetence of the owner. We will struggle to stay up WATCH and see.

Agree10 Disagree2

Optimistic optimistic ye in the battle along with a few other teams around you and with at least 2 more games to play than most also you complaining about injuries what will happen if cabaye or cisse pick injuries up against benfica everyone told you about wafer thin squad and the Europa league now its hitting home I can't see you winning another game but ye might be lucky and scrape a couple of draws to see ye home ok

Agree2 Disagree6

Have to agreewith everything you say. we were never going to get 3 points here, 1 if this had gone our way and City were having an off day. Its the next 4 games which will define our season, if Pards was keeping Marveaux for Thursday then why even have him on the bench

Agree3 Disagree0

And if we don't beat Sunderland then what?

We are three points off the relegation zone and Villa and Wigan both have a game in hand.

Also losing to City doesn't bother me it was expected it's the manner in which we lost Today no effort and no intention of attacking, look at the game against Man U (4-3) I was very proud of the effort of our players when we lost that game.

We spent £18m just in January and we're still just 3 points off Wigan who've spent next to nothing all season

Agree5 Disagree0

Hang about pal we've got Fulham first, let's beat them then the pressures on sunderland

Agree1 Disagree5

Don't forget fulham won away at tottenham the other week easier said than done

Agree3 Disagree0

The original post said 'cant believe people are calling for pardews head' etc. then goes on to state that the tactics were bad, that couldn't understand the starting team. well dnt u get it. ITS because he's A RUBBISH MANAGER!

it might have been a hard game, but our manager was lost before it started, if it was such a foregone conclusion then we might as well have not gone there. we just have no skill, imagination, creativity. no bloody good. and dnt be so sure about fulham and sunderland because those are gunna be hard hard games, because we are just as poor. the league don't lie!!

Agree6 Disagree0

30 Mar 2013 17:10:27
Surely that has to be Obertans last game for the Toon

Believable10 Unbelievable0

Poor obertan he must have been the only one on the field what about the rest of the team

Agree1 Disagree4

They were all rubbish but Obertan wasnt even that good

Agree6 Disagree0

30 Mar 2013 16:37:19
oh yeah pardew yeah, its not like we need goals. Marveaux the only flair player on the bench and is an unused sub, how many times have we seen that before??

Believable9 Unbelievable0

Marveaux is not a player you want on the pitch against a team that is going to have more of the ball.

I can understand this selection.

Agree2 Disagree5

Some people have no clue, we were never going to win that game even before a ball was kicked we only won 1 maybe 2 away games this season so what makes people think we would win against the champs, oh and a small matter of playing benfica mid week.

Agree2 Disagree8

We needed the points today or we'll be dragged back into relegation scrap, look what's happened? Pardew should of never just got us to sit back and defend.

Agree5 Disagree0

To the poster above - listen to yourself. It's not like we were playing relegation battlers today, we were playing the champions. They would need to have a very bad day at the office for us to win on their turf and you're acting as if we should have been playing them off the park. One look at our away record this season tells you how much of a chance we had of getting a positive result from this game.

Agree0 Disagree6

How will the away record improve? people seem content to say 'we were never gunna win' 'look at our away reord this year'.

so does that mean we should just not bother with away games? personic supportes by silly people

Agree2 Disagree0

30 Mar 2013 16:28:30
FFS this is embarrassing 4-0 down to a city side who know they've lost the title. we need to win all of our home games and try and make our away form a little less embarrassing.

Believable12 Unbelievable0

What you talking about, so if they know the lge is over then there's no pressure on them, also we have never won there so what gives you the right to expect a result

Agree0 Disagree7

The thing that gives us a right to expect a result is that surely pardew tells them to go out and attack and really motivate them rather than de motivate and say prepared to be battered! that's not how 'arry thinks!

Agree4 Disagree0

30 Mar 2013 16:26:37
Oh yeah, dan gosling's going to make a real difference, yeah he's much more of a flare and playmaker than marveaux isn't he?

Pardew does not know how to set us up away from home, away form is embarrassing.

Get redknapp or moyes in the summer, problem is would redknapp want to move so far away from the south? although newcastle is a nice city.

Pardew you are tactically clueless, you were given the funds in jan but you still don't know how to manage us.

Believable7 Unbelievable2

Never Rednap

Agree8 Disagree3

So, its cockneys out now, is it, god what a shower you lot are.

Agree1 Disagree5

Are you really shocked that we got beat by Man City away?

Why would Pardew bring Marveaux on when we were 3-0 down against a very physical side? Were you expecting us to get something out of the game at that point.

I would be upset if this was a midtable team, but we just played 'Man City!' away.

Agree2 Disagree2

^^ yh we played man city away and parked the bus!

Agree3 Disagree1

This team is pathetic men against boys Nothing from the front runners giving the ball away every time. Watch Ashley the gulf is enormous and could be 6/7/8 Nil
Forget injuries we just do not have the skill or the players
Average team Newcastle if that and still not out of danger

Believable10 Unbelievable0

Keep the faith.

Pardew normally sends our lads out playing better in the 2nd half in games like this.

If we are still getting dominated after 70 minutes, I will join you.

Agree0 Disagree8

Last post ^^

what do you know? keep the faith? ha we're 3-0 down, we've lost.

Agree7 Disagree1

I said this before, when you go to city sit back and defend, you're going to get torn apart, we should of just attacked and put them under pressure. If we don't finish 13th or higher, then pardew should be sacked get and get harry redknapp in, someone who has a tactical mind, know's how to get the best out of average players, know's how to motivate a team and is not afraid of the big boys. Pardew has been given the signings and yet still doesn't know how to set us up away from home, has made our away form embarrassing. I really don't know what's going to happen on derby day

''Last post ^^

what do you know? keep the faith? ha we're 3-0 down, we've lost. ''

^It is called 'support'.

Are you seriously getting a hoot out of the team losing?

I am glad it was not fans like you at the Man City game today.

The fans were getting lots of credit for their brilliant support of the team, even at 4-0 down.

Thankfully most of the fans are more 'supportive'.

FFS YOU SEE? I SAID THIS MANY TIMES BEFORE THE GAME, DON'T SIT BACK AGAINST CITY AND DEFEND! NOW WE'RE 2-0 DOWN, IN THE SECOND HALF WE WILL BEGIN TO PANIC AND START PLAYING HOOFBALL. NOW WE'RE going to GET DRAGGED BACK INTO THE F**KING RELEGATION SCRAP. I SAID WE SHOULD ATTACK CITY AND PUT THEM UNDER PRESSURE AND KEEP SPELLS OF POSSESSION. BUT WHAT DOES PARDEW DO? TELLS THEM TO SIT BACK AND GET TORN APART.

Prove me wrong in the second half alan. we need at least a point out of this game to try and stay up. I can't see us getting back into this game. Make me eat my words in the second half alan.

Geordie Moses

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Hopefully Pardew changes the formation for the 2nd half.

We have played right into their hands so far.

Agree2 Disagree1

Going to be atleast four nil.
Take Obertan off put Sissoko on the right and put Campbell alongside Cisse atleast we'll see some effort from the youngster.

Agree5 Disagree0

When Blunderland win at St James these persons patting each other on the back can now their heads in shame

Agree4 Disagree4

Geordie Moses, you really frightened the pants off city, you silenced the crowd, you are a top 8 side, hail the pearly king, attack them from the start, and you constantly have a dig at Sunderland. So will we see you at reality land in the near future.

Ba best

How did this team last year go 10 without defeat and this season we've got much better players and sitting 6 points above relagation

Believable2 Unbelievable0

When Raylor, debuchy, santon, tiote, ben arfa back i'd like to see us line up like this:

Krul

Debuchy M'Biwa Taylor Taylor

Sissoko Cabaye Tiote Santon

Cisse Gouffran

Now that looks a formidable side, why not go back to 442? Or is pardew now obsessed with cabaye playing DM in a weird out of shape 4231.

Agree2 Disagree0

11 games actually.

I'm starting to think we miss demba ba. That front 3 of HBA CISSE BA was one of the best in the prem, but just because ba was playing on the wing and was unhappy! Ba was pretty impressive on the left wing and he was linking up well, but just because he didn't want to make him unsettled, he played him through the middle and it didn't work. when we beat spurs 2-1, we actually played a 433 in the second half and it proved dividence! pardew clueless.

CMON BOYS let's get behind the team, those who are going to the game, make your voices known as you do, and you never know, we might just pull off an extravagant win! Despite the odds being against us! We have to attack and pile the pressure on city right from the first minute. Don't give them any peace on the ball and we need to be smart on the ball and not play hoofball.

If we turn up right then 3-2 to us! But I'm not going to get my hopes up.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

Agree, city will probably play with more freedom because they are resigned to losing the title but that could mean they will be more dangerous or they will be sloppy at the back.

Agree3 Disagree0

This is a great time to play Man City.

Mancini's tactics have became predictable & if Man City are not winning the game by half time they start panicking in the 2nd half, they normally start throwing the kitchen sink in the 2nd half if they are not winning, and that is when they leave gaps.

So long as we go in level at half time, I think we could win the game in the 2nd half, we just need to make sure we do not sit back and have Cisse and Sissoko attacking on their own with no support.
