Ed, apart from Douglas, do you know any players under 26 years old that are available on free's this summer? And also do you know any players that newcastle are potentially in negotiations with?
cheers {Ed001's Note - if you go to transfermarkt.co.uk you can do a search on there for free agents and set the age too.}

Hi I'm the Gosforth Mackem,
Been supping a few ales in Osbornes myself and after several hours still can't think of any measure at all that would make Newcastle a World top 5 club. For me it would be success on the pitch. Having won nothing since 1955, Newcastle would however make it into the top 150 World clubs, at number 150.
Could our deluded Jesmondite be referring to the 'toon army' and their 'Cathedral' in the city as his measure of 'big-ness' I wonder?
Let's not forget folks, the 'toon army' was invented in 1993 so most members aren't old enough to remember the yo-yo years of 1978-1992 when the 'cathedral' echoed to the sound of empty seats and mediocracy. You see, not until the future of the club was recklessly mortgaged away by Messrs. Hall and Shepherd, did the 'sermons' become worth attending.
So my little deluded magpie, the reality of the situation is this; ask any British football fan who he or she would most like to see relegated from the Premier League and it would be Newcastle United.
You demonstrate beautifully why.

No they wouldn't

It must be so sad being a Sunderland supporter to think that you have played TWICE in Europe in the whole lifetime of the club is an shocking state of affairs.
Also to think that even Boro have signed bigger players then Sunderland have ever had. By the way are you lot going to have a Minutes applause for winning the FA cup every year or was it just a one off (serious question)
Agree0
Disagree0
I'm a British fan and I don't want to see us relegated, or Sunderland either, but I'd be happy to see Stoke, Hull or Norwich go the journey because they bring nothing to the Prem (in my humble, biased opinion).
Agree0

Obvious this refers to the looney Jesmond Geordie
Agree0

Empty seats you will be very much use to watching Sunderland. The only time your fill your ground is when a concert is on. When are you presenting Canvani, Villa and ledwinski to the world? Oh and that Rose deal is dragging on a bit for a player who is dying to sign for you. Deluded poor little mackem.
Agree0

Spot on mate
Agree0
Disagree0
Why come on here taking the piss out of Makems and vice versa? Neither club has been anything like a 'big' club for years. This repetitive rubbish isn't real banter, it's just 'my delusion's bigger than yours, yah boo sucks'. Time to grow up, kiddies.
Agree0
Disagree0
Ok here we go
The only time you see many empty seats is when the away fans are to far down south and can't make the trip, (barely any empty seat anyways really) seem to remember half your Crowd dying to leave at the derby, aka, best supporters in the world.
P
EA, Marin, Sakho, Rooney, Neymar, gunna be a busy summer for you lot, lol
Rose said he wasn't dying to join us, he said he would welcome the chance of a permanent move to us, we are still negotiating a price with spurs and we can't actually sign him until July so yeah, that's why he hasn't joined, or maybe it's because he's gunna join Newcastle, yeah, the rivals of the team he much prefers, the team who aren't even linked with him but you still count yourselves front runners to sign him
Cavani, Lewandowski, villa will not sign for us, everyone knows.
We have put bids in for Insigne etc, he's brilliant, and you called us deluded for us being linked with him
So quit your whining, and next time you have a little tantrum, leave us out yeah
Jealously will get you nowhere
Agree0
Disagree0
I guess you don't go to Sunderland games then or your Ray Charles. Empty is a well versed song when visiting the stadium of S**T.
Neymar never been mentioned. Rooney was a website publicity stunt the other 2 you just never know. AVB has already said that Rose is returning to spurs for competition so you are not agreeing any fee.
Jealous of Sunderland. Really, what is their to be jealous of?? Put your dummy back in.
Agree0
Disagree0
Rose doesn't play for sunderland atm, he'd welcome the chance to join newcastle because we are the bigger club. You don't have to be linked with someone to actually sign for them. Most of its all paper talk. We actually put in an 8m bid for aubameyang in january so it doesn't mean we are deluded. Anyway why would we be jealous of a club who are smaller than newcastle?

Anyone else think Marko Marin would be a good buy to bring some creativity and flair into the side? He's getting no game time at Chelsea and he may want to move somewhere where he'll be a first team regular with the World Cup coming up next year.
