Ive just got to say the last nite when perch came on he played really well and proved he isnt always a tackle away from a booking! Hes a young lad playing the game at the top and i think with this season under his belt he could turn out to be a really good player! Just needs time and experiance. hes had a rough ride on here for a while but no one evr seems to give him credit when he plays well but im going to for lastnite cos he made us more secure when defending a lead and i though AP was correct for doing this away from home.
Cant wait till villa to see BA back and get a glimpse of cisse. BA says hes a proper goal scorer and coming from him that seems a good thing......spenny mag

1st half of season ie 19 games we amassed 30 points can we do the same in 2nd half of season and finish with 60 points (wow) well first 4 games 9 points so why not specially now we have Demba and Pappisse available Tiote back soon Guthrie doing well Obertan scored even Perch has had a couple of good games....Real happy

Smart money says you can't carry all that luck in the second half of the season.
Agree2

Why not like? I also wouldn't say losing three players to Africa, Cabeye getting suspended, Taylor out for season or some shocking ref decisions is good luck!

Luck? Haha I think youll see were 5th cause we have players you could only dream of. Ba cissé cabaye krul tiote coloccini santon. They all cost how much? Less than £30m I'm guessing.
Agree2
Disagree1
Smart money says that after 4 games we already have 9 of them points so now only need 21 out of 45 so got a great chance! thats a little over 1.2 per game so i think we will get them!
Agree3
Disagree1
Players to dream of? You mean sessegnon Campbell Larson McLean Gardner etc etc
Agree0
Disagree0
Sess is your only decent player. Campbell average, Larrson average and Mclean is a headless chicken. Not one of those mentioned would get in our first team. FACT.
Agree2
Disagree1
Sess, larsson and McClean would walk into your side no questions asked, campbell would probs be on the bench but if cisse turns out to be rubbish then campbell would start, your just being very biased and bitter there geordie clown
Agree0
Disagree2
Where they fit CLOWN? Sess wouldn't get in ahead of Cisse, Ba or Ben Arfa. McClean? ahead of who Jonas, not a chance. He is a kid who has had 2/3 good games. Jonas works both ways. Larsson had his chance and knew then he wouldn't get his game that is why he joined the unwashed. Not Bitter just honest.

It's all good and well revamping the youths and reserves with new players but, we need to invest in coaches as well. We need the people on board to make sure the current and new lads get the rigth training and guidance to see them through to the 1st team.

Obertan is a player who comes off the bench and gives our defence a break in the last 10 -15. He did his job last night, came off the bench and was a welcome out let. He also got his goal which was well taken. I'm not saying he should start, but I am happy he is on our team especially if we are winning by 1 or 2 goals with 20 left he can come on and run after every loose ball and when he gets the ball, runs into the corners!

I'd start him against villa and I think he will
Krul
Simpson Williamson colo santon
Obertan Guthrie gosling jonas
Ba cisse
That would be my team

He took his goal well and itll do wonders for his confidence! Good on him! Lets now see what he can do! He went off the boil a bit but i think BA and cisse would really benefit from a fast player puuting balls in the box for them!
Agree0

He'll probs put Raylor in Central midfield not gosling.

Or HBA who i thought played well in attacking midfield. - DP

I don't bother with the SAFC page on here at all, i mean, why would I?
but can someone tell me, does it get a load of NUFC fans on there also ?
it seems our page is littered with SAFC fans.
why cant they just worry about their little team and we'll worry about ours.
qout by SAFC fan on here
"one win and you's are talking champions League again"
of course we are! don't tell me you wouldn't be, whilst sitting 1 win away from the top 4! not getting a sore next from looking who is 9 point above! (but only 10 points from drop zone)

$th of march looks like it will be a cracker but with the home advantage i still think its a win for the toon! Safc won well last night and campbell looks good but for how long and still no brown when we play! safc will miss him cos he been playing well lately! Just honesty! still going for a 3-1 toon win!

Seriously looking forward to the derby! Hopefully this win will make the makems realise, they can't beat a recently promoted side, in 5th place in the league;)
Believable0
Unbelievable1
Us mackems are looking forward to the derby aswell, we won't surrender like last year, all form goes out the window in derbies and I'm sure we will beat you lot on your own patch!
Agree2
Disagree3
You should have said we won't surrender like we did LAST season as well as this one. SMB. You don't have the bottle.
Agree2
Disagree3
We dont have the bottle? Im pretty sure its down to the players to perform numb nuts!
Agree1
Disagree1
Yes exactly NUMB NUTS. Your players surrendered so hence they don't have the bottle. Get it now Solid. SMB.
Agree2
Disagree1
Your players don't have the bottle cause your fans don't support them to give them the bottle!
Agree1
Disagree0
We dont have the clueless bruce anymore so should be close game mad max
Agree2
Disagree0
No bruce but same players! When a manager gets the sack and a new one comes in and the players instantly perform it proves it was the players who let the manager down! Last few games against the mackems seemed to prove they freeze in derbys! Did against us and against boro!
Agree0

Our own pitch 5-1 anyone remember that??
How about 1-0 on your Sh*t pitch
Agree1
Disagree1
You had a new manager so does that mean you still have the new manager syndrome?
Agree0
Disagree2
We dont have New Manager Syndrome you SMB. We have Great team Syndrome!!!!
Agree0

Great team?? ha playing crap football and getting lucky most games, we playing good football and getting results, think geordies will be eating humble pie after march 4th!!

Are we all aware that we are going to have to finish 5th to get into Europe next season? Itoons
Believable1
Unbelievable4
Why? places go to top teams 5-7th unless one of following:
carling cup winners get a place (not runners up, probably liverpool so thats ok)
FA cup winners get place (if already in europe runners up get it)
Liverpool should win cup and finish top 7 so therefore 6th place should get a spot
Usuallly a top 7 team wins FA cup, or both contest final, if not runners up get it
Therefore top 6 (possibly top 7, depending on cup draw, will get FA cup)
Agree4
Disagree0
Are there not 4 places for both Europe cups?
Agree0
Disagree1
Next season only top 3 will get champions league.
Agree0
Disagree2
One win and back onto europe and champs league talk, calm down geordies
Agree2
Disagree1
Wrong, its top 4 still
Agree1
Disagree0
Top 3 leagues in Europe get 4 positions. Thats right ain't it Ed? {Ed001's Note - at the moment they do, Platini would like to reduce it in the future though.}
Agree1
Disagree0
4 champions league places and 4 europa league places and what with either liverpool or chelsea to win the FA cup and liverpool probably gonna win the carling cup it frees another league place up! so could have the top 8 in europe next season depending on how liverpool and chelsea go about the cup games! Im goona say the 4 CL places will be to- man city, man utd, spurs, chelsea/ arsenal/us. and europa teams will be = chelsea/arsenal/ us, liverpool, and maybe stoke but the mackems to miss out by one point! That one point will then be thrown up in every discussion for a season!
