Zues, people like you make me question myself why should I bother using this site? All you do is just slate everything people say that's positive. Don't care if you call me "deluded or "rose tinted specs" or whatever, its annoying, i'm just supporting my team, not the regime. I love using this site and reading peoples views, predictions and opinions, and sharing my own. but I hate it when people have a go at me for being positive or confident. just respect my opinion.

Zues probably thinks Everton have a better squad than we do, and I am sure he would claim the reason he is not supportive of his team is because he is a 'realist. ' You have to laugh. What kind of realist thinks we are not capable of beating Everton?

It is people like that which are giving Newcastle fans a bad name, I have noticed comments in football articles after we win games; usually in the form of offering us commiserations for winning a game and having nothing to complain about, as we are quickly becoming known for a bunch of whiners, which is of course not true.

Anyways, for the sake of banter, and as according to Zeus he expects us to get beat 3-1. I challenge Zeus to retract his remarks if we get a result out of that game. I will offer to do the same if we get beat.

As for deluded, if you think this team under the manager and owner are a good bet for the top 10 I thinkl there is something deluded about that BUT I respect your opinion and hope you are right, BUT I don't hold out much hope,

I have been a Newcastle supporter for 45 years so Get real criticism is warrented the club is ran as a money maker for Ashley by his puppet manger and person joker.

Watch and hope by all means but don't knock those who realise what is happening at Newcastle.

There is nothing wrong with criticism of Mike Ashley, certainly not.

My point, as the 2nd commenter, is that it is not unrealistic to believe we have a team capable of beating Everton.

I think we have a better squad than Everton. The main difference is that Everton's back line is far better drilled than ours.

Nobody is saying you have to love Ashley, but when you start trash talking the team and making the squad out to be much worse than it is, you are going to get disagreed with, for not speaking in facts.

Ashley to Pardew they will have what we give them and they will still turn up on force
Everton for me will finish in the top 8 Newcastle will finish in the bottom 8 and NO I am not a Mackem I support the Toon but faith had been destroyed

Is that your assessment of how Everton have a better squad than Newcastle?

We have a better squad than the one that finished 5th, Everton have got weaker. Yes, last season Everton finished higher, but we got to a quarter final in Europe, and all but for one stupid stray pass, we were heading to the Semis. Finishing 5th and then getting to a Quarter in Europe is better over 2 seasons than what Everton have accomplished. Plus, we now have a better squad. I am sure you blame Pardew for all our problems too, but right now you are blaming the squad.

So what is Johnny T, is Pardew actually not to blame for our lower place finish in the league last season? That sure sounds like what you are saying. We have a weak squad; therefore Pardew must have done quite a good job by your standards, am I right?

Which one is it? Pardew is grand, and the players are weak, or the players are good and they have been badly managed & coached.

I would be interested to hear your knowledge of what you think the problem is.

So Zeus 'gets to the main points' and 'tells it as it is'? This is the person who says there are only three teams as poor as us, but hopes that we'll get 25 points by January! If we take, say, 12 points from the three poor teams, he's hoping we'll get another 13 points from better teams, and by January! And he calls other optimists deluded. 2nd post I think you should question yourself whether you know anything about football. I not sure if you knew that we put in a fantastic attacking performance against villa. We're hoping hull is a one off. We were solid and dominant against Leeds. But anyway it's fine with me if you want to carry on being depressed and pessimistic.
