We are building. But like every club out there we are looking for quality and value for money. What do you want panic buys. Pardew has said they will be 2 new players in by the end of next week. We have a quality squad which only needs 3 or 4 added to it.

About 15 teams in premiership have not done what the probably wanted to do due to euro,s and olympics....so negative i could understand if every one had strenghtend and we had not but thats not the case....give the board time

You have to realise, although we found a few gems, it's not easy to keep doing it. i would expect there are scouts following graham carr around these days. plus the calibre of player we now need, to improve on last year, means we will always have a lot of competition to sign players. we can't just go out and do deals anymore, we have to be patient. still 4 weeks to go before window closes.

the two player that we need for left-back and that player with natural left foot are Emilo Izaguirre celtic £3-4M start and Nicolai Boilesen Ajax £3m or Martin olsson blackburn £2-3m back up.

debuchy seems to be on his way next week and andy carroll definately on his way home with anita there will be no cb signed but these signings are quality

Looks like BA is off to UAE league will meet his buy out plus £1m per year pay
However more worrying are reports of Cisse agent touting him around UAE too - manager not happy and has told Cisse he wont be moving on which has caused huge fall out {Ed007's Note - Ba's buy-out clause can only be triggered by teams in the CL.}

If your going to make story's up at least put the effort into them. Somehow I don't think ba is going to go to the UAE for £1m per year, it's not even twenty grand a week!

Ba gets paid more than 1 million a year now....and if the clown gyan can get paid daft money from an arab run state then am sure ba would command more as ba scored more goals in 18 games than gyan did in nearly 2 seasons ....

not having a go at the board, but we need some new faces very soon. after the Braga game, we only have 2 more friendlies before the Spurs game... would rather have the new players making mistakes in preseason than in the premier league

If we are looking for a winger to replace Gutierrez then I recommend Miroslav Stoch, who is an absolute talent in the Turkish league for Fenerbahce.

You cannot get more reliable than Gutierrez, 37 games a season for the last 3 seasons and will keep getting better. Ferguson is good back up with his Atomic energy supply.

Both Cabaye and Ba were removed from the bench last minute. We're playing another game against FC Braga tonight so I'm guessing Pardew is mixing it up with senior players and reserve players. I'm guessing that Pardew realised that there were enough senior players in the squad for last nights game...and so dropped them so he could play them tonight

Probably because they want to rotate the squad, pre season isn't just about your main players, everyone needs a run out, last summer i would have said Harper was number 1 (mainly because i hadn't seen Krul play) but Krul had a great pre season and was rewarded with 1st choice, so there could be players such as maurvuex who could impress in pre season and start alot of games next year..... (thats the way i look at it)

watched us 2nite and didnt play that well against a poor reserve team. defo need 3 to 4 good signings or wont finish top 8 this year i no only pre season but no passing n movement on n off the ball. shud go for williams, anita, remy debuchy.

3rd pre season game and already we won't finish in the top 8?? Seriously we weren't exactly full strength either. Pre-season is about fitness and shaking of the cobwebs. I am sure we will be in an around the top 6 again.

Im sunderland mate and read this on some of our sites as i have stated on the sunderland page pre season are all about fitness and giving the fringe players and young lads a run out what would you rather see a 6 0 win and some one like tiote or cabaye get a serious injury that will keep them out for a long spell. think about it no club wants injuries in pre season games.
