I'm guessing that you were never at school to have the benefit of a maths lesson, and instead just bash the numbers on your keyboard with your webbed fingers to come up with figures for players.
Gyan would be sold for less than 20m. If they let Bent go for about that amount, then GYan would be off as soon as a bid of more than 15m.

Gyan is probably worth about £10m but the Mackems would not sell him to us for that value (if at all). Dom.

Did you forget Gyan got injured and also Gyan is a recognized international striker for Ghana, was at the world cup, going to the african cup of nations in jan, thats why he costs more than mandy carroll who has done nothing except score 10 goals for you and 2 or 3 for liverpool. did you forget Bruce said only a ridiculous offer would be accepted which would be well in the 30m+, the bent deal was 18m rising to 24m but he wasn't in the england squad all the time. Carroll was lucky to be worth 15m but you robbed Liverpool, Gyan is a better player than Carroll and a more complete striker, Carroll may prove to be better in the future but not at the moment. Carroll is english and that always drives the price up He scoed 11 goals in 3 month as he was injured after that Gyan got 10 in a whole season apart from the 4 weeks he was injured In todays market he is valued at around the 13 to 16 million mark

i can see all the anxiety getting to ye all on here. who ye going to sign who is on the way out we need a new striker before the arsenal game ye should be more worried about one for the sunderland game as i dont think arsenal will be making any mistakes this time. as for ripping into sunderland fans on here after the game i think the only things getting ripped will be nufc season tickets. should be some good demonstrations after fulham game when ye 0 from 0 no points no goals.

I have already said on here before that we should get Goodwillie and now that the charges against him have been dropped he is attracting a lot of interest.

Dundee Utd want 2m and I still think he is a steal for that when you look at what Reading are demanding for Long.

I believe him and another marquee striker and we could have a good season ahead. (also, if we tie Barton and Enrique down to new contracts)

does anybody think we have a serious chance of having a good squad next season?

I think pardew has a 30% win ratio? pretty shocking...
No more andy carroll or kevin nolan who were top 2 scorers last season.

abdeid or whatever hes called was signed to play for the reserve squad but impressed so he will be another bench warmer for 1st team. Cabeye and marveux have no prem experiance and is a super gamble.

Ba - Had a decent 6 months at west ham despite the club risking his fitness. massiiive gamble.

We seem to be linked to 4-8 million pound ST's with no real premier league exp. I think We need to sort things out at this club. before ashley took over have a look at how strong the newcastle squad was... no we have williamson, simpson, jonas, guthrie, shola, and best all regular starters. Joke

Cabaye will definately perform well and I expect Marveaux to adapt well also. Ba was fina at West Ham and Abeid looks quality. Add to that we have a good few youngsters coming through the ranks and I expect either Long/Erding to be signed by the start of next week. So yes I have to disagree with you and Pardew is a good manager by the way. Just give him a chance.

Jonas is an Argentine international so i wouldn't say his name should be mentioned with the others in that list his end product might be lacking but (and this is just my opinion) for me going forward with the ball he is our best player to do that if he could only then pull off a great cross in to the box he would be a great player other than a good player which is what he is due to his crossing being poor

Jonas is shockingly ball gready and cant finish or put in a cross. he does win a lot of free kicks which hlped with the joey barton float and the Carroll heading. Pardew is a bad manager lol. Look at his stats. he just kept us a float from the brill job chris did at our club. Honestly. look on wiki or something at him. hes a good championship manager and a relegation battler at max in prem.

I think cab aye marveaux Ben arfa look promising also think gosling will prove his worth this season but we do need firepower

The thing is with Jonas he wins lots of freekicks and now we have Cabaye who is a freekick specialist and Marveaux is alright at freekicks too.

That anglieri at sunderland is argentinian international how good there team at moment very poor

A dont know why pardew doesnt get jonas to just drive into the box, hes always getting free kicks, and with his lack of crossing could be a lot better for us.
