Well our one and only chance of any silverware has gone. In the FA Cup the big clubs play stronger sides, the europa cup has Inter,Bilbao,A Madrid and the likes so thats a no no and Fat Mike and Puppet Pardew say '' the champions league is our aim ''. WHAT? With a weaker squad than last season and our nearest challengers all strengthening? I predict a 8th place finish and all the slaver coming out of Pardews mouth about injuries etc. For F***s sake we should have at least tried to win this cup!!!!

We were always going to be up against it once the draw was made but I think you're being to harsh. Most of the lads had a really good game and they didn't give up trying to get an equalizer, even when we went 2 down. Yeah it's a disappointing result, but we fought hard and luck wasn't on our side. Did you really expect us to walk all over Manchester United?

We all laughed at Dalglish in his last spell with Liverpool when he said history would remember that he won the League Cup not that he got nowhere near a CL qualifying spot. It would be a hollow victory winning the League Cup -Mackems would say we could only win something when other teams play their reserves and youngsters. And for once, they would be right.

I think if you read the post right, IT IS STATING that this is ONLY cup we will ever have a chance of winning because Most premier clubs dismiss it. Pardew should have targeted THIS cup and played a stronger side because champions league qualification this season is a million miles away.

Would really like to see Ferguson starting 2moro's game. I rate this lad highly and would love to see him pushing for a place in the starting line-up for EPL games.
