"No late phone calls, just and sad thoughts. One fought to much, the other, did not think at all...." The Book Club.....seems apt right now joey twitter feed should you really be happy signing for a new club qpr fan here and joey dose not look happy once the day now that worrying to me as a fan think yous have made a big mistake in letting him go tho

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think he is a good player but we have got players coming through who will do as good a job as joey if not better in vuckic and gosling.

Agree1 Disagree0

Joey is fantastic,superb magnificent.
Has the QPR fan gone? good Thank gawd this disruptive egocentric s**t stirrer is out of our club.

ed any chance of newcastle signing papiss cisse? would love to see him he is a proven goal scorer that newcastle are looking for

{Ed042's Note - Not that I know of mate sorry, Sunderland, Balckburn and Fulham the latest club linked with him publicly}

I hope we sign Bendtner, he is free to go
We deserve a descent striker,I feel the club is being raped
year on year the same story in the transfer windows when were left high and dry.How many players have been mensioned on the blog this window, its sickening and on it goes. What gets me is how they keep defending Ashley and lambias?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

The reason some people choose to defend them, me being one of them, is because we realise what they are doing is stabilising the club and making it possible to push on. they have spent alot of money in this window and are still trying to sign more players i.e. pieters, cissokho, maiga, roux, i expect the deal for pieters will happen but the strikers i'm not so sure. i believe the management/board think that young sammy ameobi has the potential to be the #9 we're looking for, but if we don't sign a striker it doesn't mean we won't in the next window. so maybe you and all the others that think they are screwing us over, should read what i've said and maybe you too will see what they're doing is good for the club.

Agree2 Disagree1

Been raped mate am not the biggest fan of the board we have but i see the bigger picture and its not one of us getting raped your proply one these ppl that dosent even know wat is really going on in football by 2013 there will be such a thing as the financial fair play regulations which means every club must • Break-even requirement – clubs must not spend more than they generate over a period of time
• No overdues payable during the season – towards other clubs, employees and/or social/tax authorities
• Provision of future financial information – to ensure clubs can meet their future obligations these basicly takes away your ppl like sheikh mansour, roman abramovich the benefactors that put money into there teams we currently still dont meet these targets so while yous lot thing where getting raped where not the bigger picture is where preparing for the years to come

Agree2 Disagree0

With regards to stabalising the club financially, why not ask for a fee for Barton? It may be Ashley's prerogative to buy and sell whomever he wishes but surely it would make sense to sell Joey rather than let him go on a free just because he had had enough of his twitter rants. With one year on his contract he must have been worth at least a couple of million.

Agree2 Disagree0

To get rid of him thats y look not just ashley to blame on the joey front ok you also have to look at this way if joey didnt want to go he didnt have to he was still under contract and to be fair a thing it was also to deinflated his big head he was the one that sed that he would onl leave for a champ leg club and not even a top four club wanted him on a free

Agree1 Disagree0

How can the club get a fee for Barton, he's given a free transfer and only the mighty QPR are interested so what makes you think someone is going pay for him? Also show's what the rest of the premier league think of him as a player.

Agree1 Disagree0

To the guy who mentioned 2013 we coul be in Div one by then?

Agree0 Disagree0

And we could be in the CL.

Couldn't we all agree after the 27th August posting on the following will not be submitted as they are dead end topics and frankly no longer relevant for the future of our team.
Joey Barton
Defection of Carrol ,Nolan and Enrique

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Footballing aside type joey barton into wiki and read about how much of a t**t he was lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah but it's funny you lot selling your best players, long may it continue by agent mike

Agree0 Disagree2

We seem to have a computor virus on our site I think its called sadmackem.Dont worry this threat will be eliminated about 5pm on the 27th when the Swans anti virus has done its job.

Agree2 Disagree0

We sell are best players but still manage to beat you scum...

Agree2 Disagree0

Thumbs up if you can smell an SMB with a short memory span?

Agree2 Disagree0

Just show how stupid the SMB's really are, saying we are selling our best players but there's younger better players coming through. Of course we could always give out long expensive contracts to 30 year olds whose best days have long gone, mmmm look where that has got you

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't Safc let Bent,Malbranque,Zenden,Collins,Jones and Henderson all sold by your perfectly "wonderfull owner chairman and manager. Please tell why you think you have any reason to comment on who left Nufc.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2011 21:28:59
haha, havnt heard from mad max in a while...

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Just waiting to see what happened during the window we were very very poor against you but you werent much better unless we both sign strikers a long season lies ahead. you won the sprint but the marathon has only just begun i think christmas time we shall see who is making more progress bruce making strange team selections dont want to sound like a mag but sack the manager please mad max

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Aug 2011 21:27:57
now bartons left the player to replace him on right will be ryan taylor or gosling

Believable0 Unbelievable1

I recon they might play obertan on the right and marveux behind the front man

Agree1 Disagree0

Yeah..but who will that front man be?

26 Aug 2011 20:23:40
Everyone bleating on about Barton,Enrique,Carroll and Nolan leaving think before you post. They ALL left because they are GREEDY BA****DS Money and nothing else. Barton Nolan say Nufc no Ambition? QPR and West Ham? Yeah right. If you are so keen on trying to force the Fat Ash to P*SS off, then stay away from ground, dont buy merchandise, hit him where it hurts. Other than that, support the Lads who WANT to play for the Toon and not the Greedy BA****ds jumping ship and blaming '' no ambition'', QPR and West Ham ha ha ha ha yeah you scouse sh**s

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Who cares if they were scouse, carroll was a geordie. second i will never stay away from the ground I love the toon and im a true fan, anyone who says/ goes through with a boycott of the matches is a disgrace

Agree4 Disagree1

Last season i bet we were the team with the low wage bill in return we made profits. MA had to splash 75m so the club doesn't go into administration

Agree1 Disagree0

There is no doubt MA has had to splash the cash, however his overseeing of the club was at least partially responsible for the cash problems caused by relegation in the first place. Joe Kinnear, Dennis Wise, Xisco etc etc. Anyway, is the miscommunication that riles me...ambiguous comments like "all the £35 million will stay in the club" from Llambias and the constantly changing goalposts from Pardew like "we will get a striker and left back over the line..100%" last week being replaced with " I am hopeful" this week.
If it is true we offered £5million for Pieters when PSV want £7 million, why did we not make up the difference by actually charging a fee for Joey? If MA is that prudent a businessman and that focused on putting us on a stable finacial footing he should not have thrown his toys out of the pram and granted Joey a free cos he was pissed off with the whole twitter nonsense, he should have demanded a fee, cos someone would have paid it.

It's amusing how SMBs have come back on our page after we beat Scunthorpe yet they got beat by Brighton.
It was lovely when they kept quiet after the derby day win but i better not mention it too much as i'll be told to "stop living in the past".

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Not worth worrying about mate. They're clearly a bit thick. Memory span of a whole six days

i see that charlton as well sachaux are reporting newcastle about illegal approach of players. if found guilty of both they could get transfer embargo

It's funny how it's classed as tapping up
cause Pardew only said we were interested
in Elliot but Phil Thompson helped his old
club Liverpool tap up Enrique through the
media. Whats the difference?
Also we haven't even spoke to Elliot.
But slighty worried about the Maiga situation.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Charlton reporting newcastle about not keeping the bid quiet. not tapping up. also, charlton have reported to FA and sochaux to fifa so both cases will be dealt with independently.

Agree2 Disagree0

Sochaux deal is over newcastle were fined 30,000

Agree1 Disagree0

Actually they were fined 30,000 for not being able to control their players at the arsenal game, the sochaux inquest is not over

Pardew and Ashley oot wor club, get us back into europe where we belong, fancy 6th this season lads. Just get 1 striker in there and we'll compete with the likes of tottenham.

ToonDave

Believable1 Unbelievable5

So the start of that post starts off by saying 'Pardew and Ashley oot', which suggests they are doing a really bad job. The second half of the comment says that if we get a striker in we will be competing with the like of Spurs for a place in Europe. Make you mind up mate, you can't have it both ways.

Agree7 Disagree0

What a stupid post

Agree3 Disagree0

Likes of spurs? their a mile ahead of us agree with the striker part though, with a decent striker this team could easily challenge the top half

Agree1 Disagree0

26 Aug 2011 18:29:57
Having watched Ba Best and Lovenkrands last night I can't see them scoring 10 goals between them all season. I never thought I'd have to concede that Shola is our best striker..... God help us

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Best and Loverman are pretty shambolic, no arguments there.

But give Demba Ba a chance though. He's scored goals everywhere else. Probably just getting into the swing of things.

Agree2 Disagree0

Very true, give Ba a chance, i mean look at Tores when chelsea spent 50 mil on him, they had to wait a while for a goal from him, and to be fair i still cant see that he was worth that amount of money. toon col

Joey Barton claims his song of the day is - Money by Pink Floyd and for when he feels slightly more hip Ludacris - Must be the money.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Hilarious, think that 1 up all by yourself?

Agree2 Disagree0

26 Aug 2011 17:34:34
Heard an outrageous rumor today, and i must stress rumor, that we didn't receive 35 million for Andy Carroll. The figure was closer to 20, but Liverpool and ourselves entered a 'gentlemen's agreement' brokered by Ashley to try and appease livid supporters.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

This is total b.s . Do you honestly think that's true ,you're a fool .What about the tax man ,what would he make of news reports of 35m and only seeing 20m on the books what a t**t must be a smb.

Hi Ed, any thoughts on Pardope saying there is no money in the kitty for a striker and maybe Peiters is all we are going to get. Or is it a smokescreen to try and pick a striker up on the cheap. Is he pre warning us that we aren't going to get a striker or if we do it will be cheap option that's not his choice.

Based on the three games played and the way we have played it's obvious we need someone who can atleast shot on target. Against Scunthorpe 23 shots and only 8 on target is very poor for a prem club

{Ed042's Note - Where was this interview? Havnt heard anything about him saying that}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Would the SMB go back to his own site his medication is waiting.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where is this so called interview

{Ed042's Note - Doesnt exist mate, my guess is a mackem trying to escape the doom and gloom of supporting Sunderland over the past week to come wind a few Geordies up}

Agree1 Disagree0

Cheers Ed should of guessed

Agree0 Disagree0

Go on Ed lad, get stuck into tha mackems son ha

So the Erik Pieters deal has almost been completed, but Cissoko says he's interested in coming to the toon. any chance of both signing? would be good if one of them could play right back in case simpson goes.

I used the Ramadan excuse for my unusually poor performance last night to the mrs.............. She didn't go for it either

What is a former West Indian spin bowler affecting Ba's performance.

awful quiet on here init bartons signed for qpr 4 year deal ...ED you got any news for us on players coming to us not about pieters coz we all heard about that one ...geordie tom

{Ed042's Note - Playing catch up today mate, latest I know is Cissokho wants to come but we havnt met the 10m but doubt we will since we look like getting Pieters next couple of days. Italian media still reporting we have interest in Santon but no reports of official bid and Nolan Roux is still the striker we are looking to secure but again, no word of official bid, all I have for now mate sorry}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cheers again for geting back...looks like ill be stuck by my lappy in turkey waiting on news ...

every ones going on about demba ba last night granted its ramadan...but the the lad aint played a full game yet ...wait untill a couple more months in to the season ...but just remember he feasts from certain hours ...i just think he's over dosed on stotties ( trying to lift the mood ) so haway give the lad time to settle...then if he's crap we can all shout the odds...ED gonna ask m8 any news...geordie tom

Believable2 Unbelievable0

I'm not sure this Ramadan business is really kosher to be honest, I mean u can eat before the sun comes up and win it goes down, and water during those times, surely as an athlete there is enough time to get your energy up and hydrated , but really though give the bloke a chance, what's he played 2 halfs or summit?

26 Aug 2011 09:12:25
any news on the striker front ed, its getting to close for comfort, surly we dont want the forward who's gone on strike, if he plays well and a so called bigger club comes in for hime, he'll go on strike with us, he's done it once he'll do it again

{Ed042's Note - Would be very surprised if we went near Maiga after being reported to FIFA, Sochaux have pretty much told them to enforce the standpoint that they wont be selling him and we do not have permission to talk to him, if we pushed it we could be in trouble.. Nolan Roux is the main target at the moment, one or two other names mentioned but nothing I have found to back it up as yet mate sorry}

So Barton has signed for QPR. This after he was critical of the ambition of NUFC. Well Joey, i think it is you who needs to examine your own ambition. Signing for a club who have purchased such big name players, such as Bothroyd, DJ Campbell, Gabbidon, and the ever fit and in his prime Keiron Dyer.
With a line up like this you can see why he has gone..........or is it down to money.....Hmmm.
In my opinion, he has played this club like a fiddle. If there was ever a player who owed something to a club it is Barton. When he signed, he came with a reputation that meant no one else would touch him. Various injuries, suspensions, and time off for prison reasons meant he missed 2 full seasons. He averaged 20 games a season over the 4 years he has been with us. Value for money? It was only last season that he was actually any good.
So in summary, a good player when not being carted off to prison/rehab, suspended, injured. Is he a player that we can't live without? No. Was he worth the £8.5 million that he has cost the club, No. Was he more trouble than he was worth, Yes. Will this mean that our midfield has more pace and craft with Vukic now ready to step in, along with Gosling, Obertan, Yes.
Bye Joey, enjoy the championship for the final 3 years of your new contract.

Believable10 Unbelievable0

Fantastic post mate
Joey questioning the clubs ambition and then he ends up at QPR lol, money talks.
People acting like Barton is some sort of legend are forgetting that he was useless and a complete liability for his first 3 years at the club(including spending time in jail), we stuck by him, yeah he had a good(not great) season last season but overall he is more trouble than he is worth.
I did warm to him last season but his antics over pre season have been ridiculous and selfish and he has completely undermined the club.
He's someone else problem now.

Agree7 Disagree1

Bitter twisted sgb chanting his name one week slagging him off next aw

Agree2 Disagree5

1-0 awwwwwwww

Agree7 Disagree2

Did the person makem who made the comment about chanting his name also press the agree button himself. Barton splits fans, some love him, some think he is a liability. We are not the idiot, deluded fans that the media in this country like to paint us as being. Most of us are actually very level headed and see the bigger picture...........although there are plenty of reactionary idiots also. So, not bitter and twisted, just realistic. On another realistic note, you makems are in for a tough season (so much for Europe).
Col

Agree2 Disagree0

From what we saw lastnight the young lads will cover Tiote and Cabeye ok, also Marveaux looked good lastnight Gosling had an ok game will get better the more he plays. In all the midfeild wont miss barton much.

Agree3 Disagree1

So Mackem...you still chanting Darren Bent's name with gusto?

Believable3 Unbelievable1

They did not all move for money they all got sick of the way the club is goin just like the rest of us all of us fans keep saying were annoyed with no transfer activity so the players obviously are too they hate MA probs just as much

Agree2 Disagree1

Never said i liked mike ashley ...but yo got to think back if we still had freddie shepard at the helm ...we would be playing...teams like hartlepool now if we were lucky and did'nt go into administration...which we could easily have done...ill just sit back now say nowt till the window slams shut...

Just for info. In regards to Demba Ba's goalscoring record:

06/07 - Excelsior - 12 games - 8 goals
07/08 - Hoffenheim - 30 games - 12 goals
08/09 - Hoffenheim - 33 games - 14 goals
09/10 - Hoffenheim - 17 games - 5 goals
10/11 - Hoffenheim - 17 games - 6 goals
10/11 - West Ham - 12 games - 7 goals.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

26 Aug 2011 07:52:16
Did Pardew buy Demba Ba on his 12 games for West Ham last year and not look at his injury history and poor goals return from his previous clubs? To me he looks like a poor Shola Ameobi, an expensive (wages) mistake, another Ashley/Lamearse/Pardew balls up.

Believable2 Unbelievable2

I see no evidence of poor goal return at previous clubs, in fact the opposite.

Agree3 Disagree0

In regards to Ba i reckon hes jus going to take time to settle in. once he settle in at West Ham he started bangin in the goals. Also on another Note hes been fasting for Ramadan and he shouldnt have played but I guess he needed minutes on the pitch. IMHO i saw some quality in him, he seems alot more willing to get back and help...and yes while I know this is what led to the Goal from scunny i honestly believe he cn improve and while he may not be the 20-30 goal striker weve been looking for he will cause problems for the oppossition. NB we got him on a free so it compensates for wages, which i do not expect to be huge.

Agree1 Disagree0

I hate how a player has one bad game and everyone thinks he's rubbish just give him some time

Agree3 Disagree0

26 Aug 2011 01:55:18
as we clearly need 1 or 2 strikers i cant but help think we are going to propose a loan move for sturridge after the fulham game i know people are sick of this now but no clubs have gone in for him at all and i know his suspension ends after chelseas next game i hope i am right i actually cant see any strikers we are linked with making our strikeforce looking like a threat hope we dont get maiga dont rate him we need someone with agbonlahor type pace to run down the channels wouldnt mind seein bendtner/sturridge but its more likely gunna be maynard/c.cole with either ba/ameobi hope we can pull a shock transfer out of the bag

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So we need a striker with agbonalor type pace...and your solution/ preference is bentner? really? have you even watch him play?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Aug 2011 01:44:06
In my opinion, Newcastle United aren't going to sign anyone major. They're going to get people in to do a simple and steady job whether it be this Dutch full back or A striker. There isn't going to be a 20 goal a season striker coming in. There is no chance of that happening as we simply haven't got the backing financially. The argument of the Carroll money is up for questioning, I agree. But Pardew isn't going to see it, and that's that. I like to see The dutch full back and A half decent striker with a bit pace and energy, as that's what our strikeforce was lacking tonight. Until young Sammy came on.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

All together on fees (including the freebees signing on fees/agent fees) and contracts for new players aswell as new contract for tiote and the like we've prob spent just over £15m. Although with the sales releasing alot of wages we've recouped that, so there is no expenditure.

hello newcastle how would yous like Glasgow rangers and Glasgow Celtic to play in England am asking all me personnaly think it would be a great thing as the old firm need a fresh start

Believable2 Unbelievable4

Yeah, think it would be cool but dont see it happening. Dont know how the fa would work it as there would defo be objections from disadvantaged teams.

Agree2 Disagree1

If they start in the championship... They dont deserve to be in the prem seeing as all english teams managed to qualify including birmingham who are in the championship.

Agree1 Disagree1

They're only good enough to be mid table IMO. they would also struggle financially in this league.
I for one am against it, unless they start at the bottom and work themselves up.

Agree1 Disagree0

If the auld firm move into england let them start in the old 4th division ...theres your fresh start ...

Agree1 Disagree0

They would have to start at the level they are capable of, conference, so it would be years, if ever, before they got near Premier League.

Agree0 Disagree0

Simple no

Agree0 Disagree0

And what about the fans travelling to away games? Not gonna happen sorry

Agree0 Disagree0

Wouldnt mind Hamilton and St Mirren their fans know how to behave

Agree0 Disagree0

How would it even work? Your removing players from a league thus meaning that league needs to be filled with another team. Also if they go to the PL/championship that would mean either the league got bigger or fewer places opened up for other teams. Which doesn't seem fair. However there is one way it could work: The scottish league and championship team up so that two teams from the championship now get promoted to the premierleague and the winner of the SPL get promoted. Then when that scottish team get relegated they go back to the SPL
