This talk of Joey going to QPR is a smokescreen he is actually at the BBC rehearsing for the part of Mr Mackay in a remake of Porridge.He's perfect for the part suffers from delusions of granduer and has played the part of the con in the past. Heard from a reliable source that Kevin N is pushing for the part of Fletcher as he wants to resume the role of keeping his cell mate out of trouble as he found out Andy C is playing the part of Lennie Godber.
Steve Harper has turned down the part of the Mr Barraclough on the grounds he's been in gaol long enough and has his eyes on the part of the judge as he sees his future sitting on the bench.
On a different note I hear Alan Smith is one of the "leeds" in "Some like it hot" being shot either in Yorkshire or Orlando.
Xisco's new record of " Return to sender" is on loan from the Nufc shop.
Enrique has plans for a movie called "Raging Bull" it's a story about a simple spanish lad who had high ambition but instead signed for LFC.
Nile Ranger is up to play the part of Rhett Butler in Gone with the Wind apparently he got the part on his test of saying "frankly I dont give a dam"
That's it for now folks from your Nufc show biz reporter

As conteversal joey was i thought he was great when the chips were down and raised the lads, a real leader. My serious concern now is where that leadership will come from, the likes of nolan and him, and to a lesser degree Jose. Maybe im wrong but i think these 2 games is as good as it will get.... what do ye think?

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Dictionary meaning of Leader
"person who rules,guides or inspires others" please tell me which of these JB brings?
Joey certainly thinks he rules unfortunately he's wrong MA does
Joey certainly guides by waving arms about, over acting and ranting at team mates.Thats called disruptive
Joey certainly inspires he has been missing for 2 of the 4 years he has been at the club .Thats called absent without leave

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree with the first post see him as a bit of a Roy keane, and his leadership which was alot of mouthing 2 and a fair bit of class aswell. i think we will only see when the sht hits the fan in games. best of luck Joey u repayed us + more in taking a chance on u.

Agree1 Disagree0

Some help with the leadership concern.
Collo is leading by example.
Saylor will assist when the chips are down.Cabeye who was a captain at Lille will gradually emerge as the leader as his language skills progress.
This new look team is moving on from the scouse style leadership talents of Barton or Nolan.

Agree2 Disagree1

Jb does not lead naturally. He leads with fear and his mouth with aggression. A good leader leads cos of respect and it comes naturally for them. Also a good manager will appoint a leader if he sees they are natural to this role and from where i am it doesnt look like JB was appointed Good riddance to the ego Good player but too disruptive for a "TEAM"

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye isnt as gud as ppl think
collo wont be there
saylor is as bad as barton 4 overreacting and play acting
yous wil struggle this season

jonas and colocini next if not this window defo january,letting barton go to qpr bad move,one of the clubs i was hoping we would finish above

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Hope colocini doesnt go think he is a top defender reads the games as well as any defender in the priemership even if he lacks a touch of pace. As for jonas top player just needs that end ball u can not question his commitment always gives 100%

Agree1 Disagree0

Why do you say that, any information, or just because your disgruntled and fancy a moan, your inclusion into the boo brigade will no doubt have been accepted

so what r ur two intresting rumours ed? Any quality?

{Ed042's Note - Haha one is confirmed by Lyon, official bid for Cissokho, other i`m sworn to secrecy on i`m afraid, also still sussing it out, does hold weight though}

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Is this meant to be that nolan roux deal that been getting thrown about

{Ed042's Note - There is small murmurs of that but nothing substantial, where is it getting thrown about now? forums? Haha stop guessing mate I wont be saying until I know more myself}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed can u not even tell us the league th st plays in? giv us some hope please? is this secert player better than carlton cole?

{Ed042's Note - Haha look theres no point giving false hope by speculating until I know more, virtually impossible to find out anything today because of Joey.. yes he is better than Carlton Cole, im better than Carlton Cole ffs!}

Agree1 Disagree0

Frankly a woud not be shocked if we didnt get anyone in and its all just rubbish flying about

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed . You are a terrible tease and i am on hot coals waiting for you to spill the beans on striker news.

{Ed042's Note - Well get off them then lad, will burn your feet ffs lol}

"You only had to look at our bench on Saturday and the players who didn't make the bench - like Alan Smith, for example - to know that I feel we are much stronger squad-wise this year to attack this competition, and also attack the FA Cup"

latest quotes from AP suggesting we have the strength and depth to challenge for the cups this year. Is this bloke for real? we have a right back playing at right back, 1 decent striker, no cover in defence, have lost our captian/highest goalscorer last season, our left back and arguebly our best player, are about to lose our ex-vice captain and fans player of the year and our squad is thinner than it was last season when we challenged for...bugger all. this recent statement along with him coming out every monday and suggesting incoming transfers are imminent is really starting to get on my nerves. SORT IT OUT PARDEW

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Couldn't agree more m8 well except for the right back playin at right back bit lol but yeah ur rite whats going on it's like 1 step forward 2 back all the time

Agree0 Disagree0

Our current squad is better than birminghams last year and didnt they win a cup? Any of the top flight teams can challenge for the league cup and there is nearly always a less fashionable team in the mix at the end stages of the comps

hi fellow toons would just like to know are we going to get rid of Smith and is it 1 yr left on his contract. it seems to me like he is staying around like the Man City players for money. He must rank up there with Alberte Luque as 1 of our worst signings. Snice we are trying to save money he needs shipped. SMITH PI$$ OFF

Believable7 Unbelievable0

Il happily drive him to his new club in the championship or league 1 :-) waste of space

i believe the harper story, whilst on my stag doo in benidorm, kevin nolan who goes there everyyear in may said that eveyone wants out of the club because ashley wont pay money, weeks later he has gone, enrique has gone, barton gone, harper on way out,
Is Ashley on the payroll of ellis short perhaps

{Ed042's Note - Haha reading into me saying that way too much mate lol the window will be closed on the 1st, thats what I do know for certain and why I say i`m waiting until then to pass judgement.. as far as targets go and how close we are to signing players, very hard to know but with so little time left if theres no developments by the weekend it is definitely panic buy time.. I have heard one or two interesting ones that I am looking into credibility-wise as regards the sources, and I know we are rumoured to be making an improved offer to Pieters, but thats all I can say at the moment without throwing myself in with all the rest of the media BS that is put out there.. sorry mate, wish I could cheer everyone up with some good news but nothing to hang your hat on as yet}

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Cheers for getting back ED m8 sitting here frustrated along with the rest of the toon army ...geordie tom

{Ed042's Note - Me too mate me too.. can give a quick update on one I was making reference to earlier since its been confirmed.. Cissokho bid put in but is like Pieters one, under the fee wanted by club, bargaining going on over next couple of days with both I presume, cheaper option or one to be seen as best deal will be the one we go with I would say.. if both fall through expect an emergency bid for Bridge... still looking into the FW rumour}

Agree0 Disagree0

Last thing off me for the neet ED am off to turkey on tuesday ( ah knar again)...so am taking me lappy hope me hotels got wifi...any way if i wake up in the morning with some good news about us getting players ill bring you a bottle of raki back ...geordie tom

If what I'm hearing is true and were after carlton cole, which may I add was my inital thought when ac was sold will be the best example ashleys direction and ambition for the club Half rate wages for half rate players for a half tabe finish and gaining excellent income from tv coverage, gate reciepts( 52.000 regardless) and the obvious sell on money from the young potentials being bought on the cheap Can somebody tell me and back it up that ashley cares not a jot about ours and his club and just dreams ££££££££ signs

Believable2 Unbelievable2

24 Aug 2011 20:02:28
Joey Barton will only sign for a club playing in the top 4 and in the champions league, or a smaller club as long as he gets £60k a week... I smell a rabbit of here, has Barton engineered a move all for more money. This wouldn't have entered my head until the name QPR came up...greed

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Bullrubbish ur just saying that cos he is leaving it was not about more money it was about the length of the contract u cant blame any1 for leaving after the way that MA transfer policy is lets just see who comes in no-one

Agree1 Disagree0

Look at it this way if jb gets injured for nufc this week and its career threating then he only gets paid until contract ends..if he goes some where else and that happens then he gets paid the full contract if it was me i would go..just because he is a millionaire that does not mean you should work for peanuts..he has bills to and a family good look to him

Agree2 Disagree0

Ive been saying this for weeks. He looking to be released and not come out of it smelling of sh*t He been trying the constructive dismissal route since this all started

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 19:38:53
Tbh guys if Joey goes to QPR I reckon he could be getting £80-90,000 a week. Fernandes has the cash to splash and what you need to ask yourself is would we want to pay that for the baggage that comes along with Barton?

Geo

Believable4 Unbelievable1

In a word no

The way barton has played if the boot was on the other foot everyone on here would be buzzing

24 Aug 2011 19:36:47
With Joey's imminent departure, Newcastle should step up their interst in man United's Darren Gibson, as we were linked with him earlier in the season, and we need a midfielder with premier league experience, as at the moment the only good midfielder with prem experience that we have is Tiote, and he won't play every match this season, as its inevitable that he'll get suspended at some point.

Believable3 Unbelievable3

Tiote is going on deadline day mark my words

24 Aug 2011 19:12:07
Joey's agent must be full of more c**p than the Newcastle board.
Im pretty sure a few weeks ago he came out with he was in talks with various big premiership clubs and clubs across Europe yet the best he can come up with is QPR? No disrespect to QPR but there is a huge step down from where Joey is now and the offers he has apparently had.
As for a replacement i dont really see anyone with the drive or determination for Newcastle like what Joey does. Yes he can be a bit of a liability sometimes when he looses his cool but you cant fault the effort or drive he puts into every game for the Toon.
Good luck Joey whatever you do.

24 Aug 2011 19:08:09
alreet toon fans dont know about you guys but im sick of this fat man destroying our club i was just thinking today about that takeover bid that was failed 3 years ago just ponder this though 52.000 geordies want him out even more so how about each fan puts £200 quid in and with 52.000 fans at least that would be 104.000.000 (million) then we all bombard freddy or someone else to raise the rest and dont laugh im being deadly serious. toon 4 life maybe ed can stump up the rest lol

{Ed042's Note - Haha okay so you now own the club. Wheres the rest of the money to make million pound transfers coming from? plus you have Freddie Shepherd as a partner, that cant be good ha}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Hi ed yes ok maybe it is a bit over the top but i bet alot of people would do it and as far as freddy at least when they had it we always spent money and always had a big name in weather or not they did well I WOULD TAKE FREDDY OVER FAT MAN ANYDAY0.....

{Ed042's Note - If Freddie still owned the club... well wouldnt be possible for him to because if he had continued on there wouldnt have been a club to support any more, and thats not even joking mate.. I wouldnt let him near the club if he struck oil in the morning!.. as for a fan takeover its a nice idea in concept, seen it being touted at other clubs before as well as nufc but never comes to fruition, not sustainable in the long term unless one of the fans happens to be as wealthy or more so than Fat Mike}

Agree1 Disagree0

ALSO ED U SAID WHERE WOULD WE GET THE MILLIONS OF POUNDS TO BUY PLAYERS OK THEN WHERES THE MONEY NOW TO BUY PLAYERS WITH FAT ASHLEY????

{Ed042's Note - Fair point but if thats still the case come 1st of Septmeber i`ll jump on the bandwagon, reserving judgement until then... but even before now just as an example, say last January before Carroll was sold, where would the 6.5m come from for Ben Arfa? or the 4m for Tiote? or the 9+m for Colo? or 7m+ for Jonas? see what i`m getting at?.. understand the frustration at the moment, and will kick off myself if the signings we need dont come in by the time the window closes but the argument i`m making is theres no chance of multi million pound deals being done under a fan invested club, i`m yet to see a scenario in which it happens, especially at a club that doesnt get revenue for CL competition every year}

Agree0 Disagree0

ALSO ED FORGOT TO SAY ON LAST TEXT BOUT WHERES THE MONEY COMING FROM I 4GOT WE SPENT NEARLY 45 MILLION ON FREE TRANSFERS DIDNT WE LOL

{Ed042's Note - Haha stop shouting mate lol last reply to you should cover most of the reply to this but just interested, did anyone actually think we would spend £45m on players? I expected around £20m max tbh, money kept for January maybe and then some of the loan owed to Fat Mike paid back... so if we sign a LB for say £5m and striker for around £7m, theres £12m plus Cabaye and Obertan makes approx. £20m... not saying I disagree or dont understand where you`re coming from lad, just playing devils advocate here for the sake of debate}

Agree1 Disagree1

24 Aug 2011 19:02:09
i hope you post this ED...anyway here goes this is the original smokescreen...our belloved owner (not)...letting barton go to take the heat off him splashing the cash...really dont care if barton goes as i thnk we've enough about us this season..but being a newcastle fan all my life...thought i had seen it all at our club...really ffing pissed off now bet i aint the only person on here to say so ...bartons gone now ( it was allways on the cards ) so come on Mr Ashley get your wallet out ffs get the players in we need go get pieters go get maynard ...geordie tom

just a script from a financial magazine makes ye wonder where our money from the carrol sale, season tickets, merchandise, sky and parachute payments has gone.
While he may well be one of the greatest retailers of his generation, Ashley's performance as a stock market investor is mixed at best.

At the height of the credit crisis he was reported to have personally lost hundreds of millions of pounds betting that shares in failed bank HBOS would rise. Sports Direct's investment in rival JJB in 2008 also resulted in losses and more than a little acrimony, which eventually sparked an Office of Fair Trading investigation.

The investment in Blacks has fared even worse. Ashley acquired the stake when the shares were trading at more than 500p. They have since fallen more than 90pc to close yesterday at 13p. Sports Direct's paper losses now top £50m. No wonder Ashley is so angry.

Unfortunately his options are limited. With 21pc of the shares he could call an extraordinary meeting and attempt to oust Bernstein. But it seems unlikely that fellow Blacks shareholders – no matter how frustrated with their company's performance – would back him. The only beneficiary of even more chaos at Blacks would be rival retailers, including of course Ashley.

He could revive plans to bid for Blacks – which is, after all, how he ended up with the stake in the first place. But Ashley knows that the retailer's key suppliers, including North Face, would probably boycott an Ashley-owned Blacks, fearful that the "pile it high, sell it cheap" retailer would damage their brands.

So for the moment Ashley can merely stand on the sidelines and throw mud.

That takes guts, particularly as his own record of delivering shareholder value is pretty poor (although not quite as bad as Blacks').

Who could forget that Ashley cost his shareholders £200,000 when he resorted to using a game of spoof to settle a disputed bill – and then lost. And while shares in Sports Direct may have bounced back from a December 2009 low of 33p, they have still been a pretty poor investment for those who bought in when the company floated (and Ashley cashed out).

Over that period Sports Direct has underperformed the FTSE 250. In fact even with interest rates at a historic low, investors would have made more if they had stuck their money in the Post Office rather than Sports Direct.
makes ye wonder ed we all know he likes the casinos but this is a man who likes to get his own way and seems to have a gambling problem and it looks like his taking a gamble with the club what do you think ed he seems as though he has no mates

{Ed042's Note - All of the above has truth to it, read the article and know that it was very geared towards the negative moves he has made. All details and stories and dealings aside fact is he is one of the very few self made billionaires out there and reason he has very little friends in business is because he is absolutely ruthless as most good businessmen tend to be. As far as the club goes, very hard to gamble on its future, in fact he saved it from such a scenario and has a good financial plan in place for future turnover and self sufficiency.. from a selfish point of view he uses it as a tool to promote sports direct.. and doesnt have much dealings whatsoever in the running of the club bar signing the cheques.. Derek is the man who looks after the club for him.. Newcastle is actually only a small percentage of his portfolio and he seems to be more personally involved in the retail businesses.. he does like a gamble but he makes more than he loses by the looks of things at the moment.. worth much more than he was when he took over Newcastle, in fact almost double.. once it stays on that trajectory I wouldnt be too worried}

Barton just been on twitter, off for medical with qpr, doesn't want to leave nufc but still no contract offer from us, his hands are tied. That's officially from joey himself, ffs gutted

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Still cannot follow club rules on twittering the guy thinks he is NUFC no he is not.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some Nufc fans have short memories.
This is the Joey Barton who let us down when we needed him most.
He assaulted a person and ended up in jail where was his devotion to our club.
When we needed every player to devote themselves to avoiding relegation this so called committed player stupidly got sent off at LFC.This is the same man who said he would reduce his wages to stay at Nufc.All these crocodile tears for a player who has been paid over £10 million during his time at the club and due to his recent actions have just cost the club £30k in fines and brought the wrong headlines to our club. Beware of false idols.

Agree0 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 18:26:30
Really don't see why Joey would want to go to QPR... He'll be on higher wages and will be in the first team for Newcastle. Then again, they have a chairman who actually cares about his club so.....

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Because he has not been given a future at newcastle where at qpr he is guaranteed football for the next 3 or 4 seasons its a joke mike ashley can get out of our club.

Joey isn't the future Joey is the past.

what a bunch of jokers the fans on here are first carrol was the new shearer now his carthorse. then it was nolan playing in a good midfield who is now rubbishe and slow and before he even signs for qpr barton he is poor and cant cross a ball what a laugh but the amazing thing is none of these lads supposedly wanted a move and with jonas gone ye best 4 players from last season are gone.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yet we can still beat the mackems and be the only team in the prem not to concede a goal lol

Agree2 Disagree0

Dont think anyone on here said Nolan wasa world beater like, his positioning got him all his goals and his drive and engine made him a fans favourite. Judas as much as it pains me to admit is a hell of a striker and best player to come thru our academy in my lifetime but yes i like most fans am bitter and bemused as to why he left his home town club and anyone who says barton cant cross is a bell end, so basically your full of s**t and even with all our problems weve still took 7 points out of 9 from you inbreds ;) SMB

Joey barton going for medical, i follow him on twitter. sad dday for us, i really do think he was only used for the first to games. id like to tank him for all the support he showed and wish him all the best, losen are best player

Believable1 Unbelievable1

24 Aug 2011 18:10:04
If Barton goes it is because he wants to, same with Nolan, same with Enrique, same with Carroll. All were under contract still, and could have signed a new deal (Carroll just had), and all left chasing the pound note. Not a critisism, just facts.
Barton is like Marmite, i love him one minute, and think he is a complete tool the next. If he does decide to go, then we have quite a few midfielders to cover. Obertan, Gosling, Cabaye, Vukic, etc. I'm not sure he would get a place in the starting line up.
I am sure that we will sign at least a lb, cf, and perhaps a couple of signings no one was expecting. Lets wait and see.
Col

Believable1 Unbelievable2

It will be interesting to see how the southern media treat him when he transgresses again [ which he surely will] whilst playing for a London club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry mate but ya talking shie you expecting four signings lb and striker and
That will be our lot and am not holding me breath on that one yet again a player leaves and all of a sudden he's rubbishe
Seems some fans need to grow some never mind the mgt

Joey Barton, good riddance to bad rubbish.

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Bad rubbish this comment is rubbish joey was one the most creative midfielders last session was better than alot of players that are going for silly money like modric and nasri

Right so looks like joey is off Who do yous think is gonna be the 'SHOCK' exit on deadline day this time? My money is on tiote or colo?

Agree4 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 16:56:54
Not bothered if Barton goes, in fact I think it will be a good thing. His delivery is poor compared to Cabaye and Raylor and he is always liable to get a booking. I also think while he is in Toon he will play and IMO Obertan is better out wide than he is, and we have Gosling to play in the middle.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Believable5 Unbelievable5

Have you ever been to a game how can ye compare cabaye and raylor to barton one has played 2 games and never had a kick hope he has more to show and the other wouldn't get a game if enrique hadn't moved if ye do go to games do ye fall asleep

Agree1 Disagree0

24 Aug 2011 16:55:35
wat a joke newcastle is where letting barton go but keeping smith :S its just totally f***ed up a mean barton when fit always in the team smith when fit never in the team and is on more of a wage than barton so that the f***s up with that barton is a game winner and a great leader on the pitch dont really give a toss what he dose off it nor should anyone please lets just hope he stays

Believable3 Unbelievable3

24 Aug 2011 16:46:21
Everyone needs to calm down, just because Barton had a good game on the weekend it doesn't mean he has changed his colours. he was still on the free transfer list for a reason, if he is a cancer to the team... I for one don't want him. And if her is so good why is the only team even talking to him QPR? let him go and lets move on.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

24 Aug 2011 15:58:07
6 Days 3 transfers needed is it possible? St lb cm ? What has pardew got lined up ....... Now players are gonna be even more expensive good for selling ie Carroll v bad for buying. I really hope we have not just settled with Ryan Taylor and shola for st and lb + a decent cm will cost a fair amount so I think it will just bee tiote and cabaye partnership in cm am and dm sounds good but got no one for cover when tiote gets his match bans. Madness selling barton ohhh I mean giving barton away no fee for one of the best passers in the game ..... We never have a quiet transfer window but I appsolutly love it, would much farther this than no transfers ie Everton
Basically I think if we can get three would be great but my main concern is scoring 2 cleansheets so far speak for themselves? Any comments ed ?

Barton leaving would be a disaster, he has been our best player for the last two games and now he might be leaving wise move Ashley. Remember what pardew said, 'Any player that leaves will be replaced' very much dought it considering Carrol left 8 months ago and is yet to be replaced. We will go nowhere while Ashley owns us......ASHLEY OUT

Believable4 Unbelievable1

Hes been crap mate open your eyes. Lucky to stay on the pitch against Arsenal. Every pass went to Sunderland players on saturday, he was only staying for the derby as a goodbye game. Some fans need to realise that his level is QPR. Nolans found his level, Barton will soon.

Agree3 Disagree2

Barton and Warnock - what a head to head.

Come on champions league clubs, you don't know what you're doing. Rubbish managers and chairmen are missing a top top freebee, he'll even grow a tash again to go to Germany.

everytime something good happens like winning the local derby, something bad happens. It seems like the board have a vendetta to p*ss off the fans instead of letting them enjoy their moment. I hope Barton doesn't go to QPR but his latest tweets don't sound promising. I think he's proved in the last two games how much he gives to the team. With the lack of players coming in over the past few weeks and now this, it makes you wonder what next?
We sure as hell won't replace Barton

Barton has been the worst player on the field in both games, always liable to get sent off and if he was as great as everyone says...then why do tiote and cabaye get chosen ahead of him in the middle? we dont need to replace him, we already have a quality midfield. Frees up wages for a LB and ST. Good move. Such a great player going to a top 4 side...oh..wait..

Lol dunno mate, just wondered.. as i recon alot of geordies think of it in a derogatory sense. maybe im talkin sh*t but its harmless banter either way :)

Agree1 Disagree0

Going to the matches in the 70s and 80s everyone assosiated with the north east were called geordies but because of the rubbishe reputation that went with the name areas looked to distance them from the sgbs first boro decided to get associated with north yorks then sunderland became mackems and now when ye talk to anyone who follows any of the 3 now state they are neither mackems north yorks or geordies but simply the best from the lands of the prince bishops

Agree1 Disagree0

No bud thats never happened to me, but one of my mates from sunderland always gets asked if hes a geordie on holiday, and he just goes along with it to be polite rather than just shouting at some random lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont shout at them m8...another thing i hate commentators on the toon match at the weekend seemed to think that newcastle and sunderland are seperated by the tyne bridge...also does any one hate chris waddles phoney accent on ESPN...geordie tom

Anyone agree tht by the time the window shuts next wednesday we wont have signed anyone?

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Sunderland fan in peace, but think colocini will be next to valencia, ashley and pardew are screwing you lot over. I would be very surprised if you bring in more than one new player by the end of the window

Kevin Nolan has promised Joey Barton first team football every week and only bench for cup matches, top curries and nice friends from boss Sam if he comes to West Ham.

7 days left until the window shuts, I'm still confident we'll bring in a quality LB and a striker before 6pm on the 31st.

The way I see it, most likely LB capture is going to be Pieters, £6 million will do the trick and this guy is a solid player, would be fantastic at the club. Would like to see R.Taylor remain in the squad, perhaps at RB giving Danny Simpson a bit of a run for his money.

As for strikers, I don't know anything really about this Maiga, in the ideal world I'd like to see us sign Bendtner even though it's increasingly unlikely this will happen. I know he's not to everyones taste but I think with regular starts and good service from Obertan, Cabaye and Marveaux he'd do a job, score goals and be a game changer.

Anyone agree that no news players will be signed? Pieters talks have broken down. A young international LB wanting 30K a week and we cant finalise the deal, he has no intentions of bringing anyone in. Carrol and Enrique leave and they arent replaced........what a joke

Believable3 Unbelievable3

When will people realise Ashley is NOT interested in making this club a force.
He is a gambler and he is gambling with the Toon's future ie "Can we stay up with no investment?" It's all a game to him.
As he said when he first bought the club it was to 'have a bit of fun'.
Yes - at our expense.

The only reason Pardew is at the club is that he has a 1.5 million pound gambling debt that's related to DL, giving him the Newcastle job was the only way he was going to be able to pay it back. So yes he is a puppet

Do people actually believe this rubbish, give yourself a shake man.
