My predictions for the summer window:

Ins:
Nathaniel Clyne-Free
Romain Amalfitano-Free
Virgil Van Dijk-£2.5 million
Douglas-£5 million
Wilfried Zaha-£7 million

Outs:
Alan Smith-Free
Danny Guthrie-Free
Peter Lovenkrands-Free
Xisco-Loan(1 more year left on his deal)
Nile Ranger-£250k
Fraser Forster-£2 million
Danny Simpson-£3 million

Believable0 Unbelievable4

Would love clyne to come but think too many big clubs chasin him for free. Although he'd b silly not to pick us as he would probably b a starter. Not sure I'd risk 7m on zaha yet give him another season as his end product ain't good enough and for that prove there will be much better players around! Would like t think we would keep Guthrie and poss Forster. Would also like to see Danny Simpson sign a new contract as the deal they've offered from what I've heard is very reasonable! Martyb

Agree0 Disagree1

I think clyne has signed a new deal with crystal palace

Agree0 Disagree0

Got to say, I prefer the idea of Forster over Elliot if Krul goes. Forster has played consistently well despite it being a sub par league.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would like us to make a bid for Al Habsi as a back up keeper.

Hi all Toon fans!

Congratulations for having such a great season.
I always have a very great respect for Newcastle United football club. It's great to see Newcastle doing well. Makes the Premier League more competitive and exciting.

Think Mike Ashly is doing some wonders now a days.
Every decision he as made recently has been spot on and with exceptional out come on and off the field. Whether by coincidence or luck he seems to have that knowledge to put Newcastle once again on the right track to success. Sold the likes of senior figures at the club, Barton, Nolan, Given, and robbed Liverpool to get 35M for Carroll above his value.

I follow football closely not only in Europe but around the world. I like the way Toons recruit players. Un-earthing hidden Jems, value for Money, resale value.
Knew Cabaye at Lille wondered why the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and others big clubs do not make a move for him. Same for Ben Arfa, Santon, Cisse. You got Lucky with Demba Ba.

I was suprised & coy when Pardew was first appointed but he has been brilliant. His management skills certainly deserves credit & applause. Lets hope the stupid press doesn't start a Pardew for England Campaign.

Before the start of the season everyone was saying Newcastle will be among relegation favorites, fighting for BPL survival. But even then I taught come on Pardew has done well at the end of last season and signed some decent players in the summer certainly you guys would be challenging for Europe.

Every club have different types of fans. No disrespect to knowledgeable and passionate Toon fans but IMO most of the Toon fans are dumb.

OBVIOUSLY DUMBER AND CLUELESS THAN MIKE ASHLY.
How much abuse you guys have given him. I just hope you lot ilwl regret what you have done.

If you lot get 4th it would obviously be a massive over achievement. You have nothing to loose even if you fail to qualify. Just be proud of your team.

But beware of complacency, you have lost of steps ahead of you to still to concrete you place among the top teams. In most cases if you have a great season punching above your weight the season next usually the team becomes complacent and losses the touch.

Next season you still need to improve the squad, the likes of Perch, Obertan, Injury prone Mervaux, ageing Ameobi needs to be replaced. Certainly a high quality RB [Mathiu Debuchy of Llile would be perfect and affordable] another goal scoring attacking mid [Gulfy Sigurdsson, Clint Dempsey like wise]. A creative dynamic striker in the mould of Matias Suarez of Anderlecht. Provided you keep your top, key players.

Hold your heads up high Toons.

Cheers

This gut says well done and says he respects and like nufc then calls us fans dumb! has he even seen how many spelling mistakes he made and how much bad grammer he has used and not to mention is total lack of knowlegde considering he "follows football closely"! total dim illiterate baseball fan!

Agree6 Disagree0

Yo,

Apology for any bad spelling mistakes, but respecting a club doesn't mean respecting every fan of the club at all... + most of NUFC fans are really dumb and that includes you!

And from where have you attained your sage like football wisdom? I'd like to point out that all of the players you have mentioned have already been speculated over by the press, meaning most of the people on this page are already aware of them. I'm not sure about everyone else but generally I've found these comments to be at best redundant, at worst ridiculously patronizing. If you were a Newcastle fan you would have a little bit more knowledge as to why the fans were so adverse to the actions of the club's owners. It's only now that we're more aware of their policies that we're giving them credit.

Getting 4th is not a massive over achievement. It's reflective of the team's performance over 38 games. It's not necessarily where everyone expected us to finish but i'm not surprised we're up there with the best at all. It's only really the media that's completely shocked. Anyone who actually knows their football knows that we are where we are primarily from the team's fantastic work.

I'm not sure why you came on here to insult the fans and then tell us things that we can come to our own conclusions about. Also most of our conclusions i think will be a little bit better placed than your own. And i agree with the post above, your grammar sucks. Don't excuse it and seek to further validate your opinions, correct it and justify them.

Well said that man, bloody well said.
