I just give up. All the pride and passion is just not like it used to be.
At least no one can call me fickle, I've always wanted pardew out right from the moment he head butted David meyler

JT: agree with everything you've posted on this thread. We gave Pardew a good long run to prove himself and he's let us down big time. No, Newcastle fans aren't fickle - 52,000 there week in week out, that's not fickle. Stupid, perhaps. And doubly stupid, like most journos and so-called 'experts', or 'pundits' in thinking that Ashley deserves credit for sticking with a proven useless conman of a manager. Howay the profit and loss account! Howay the balance sheet!

Vic is your glass still half full?
Do you still want the 10 or 11 teams that will finish above us.

If you don't score goals you have a great chance of getting
beat like today
3 strikers who ran about but could not score
2 average teams who at best could make mid table
Sunderland play 9 behind the ball & that is their only strength
Well done to them but Pardew knowing they had a problem at LB did absolutely nothing about exploting that
Dont see what Gufferon brings to the team
Won 6 on the trot we will now lose 6 on the trot
Ashley fiddles whilst Newcastle United crumbles

Have to say, Gus Poyet is the man to take sunderland forward. They played some good football at times and if they're patient it will pay off. They are now beginning to have an identity
What do we have? a league one manager who gets his team to hoof it into a 5'7 striker. Unbelievable

Rubbish Newcastle had a lot of chances
and the strikes were awful
Should had this won by half time
Identify are you having a larf you play with 10 defenders when you don't have an identity & hope as it worked today you get a break
Get a quality striker to join the best players Sissoko Janmaat & Colback before we loose all 3
Game could have gone either way it went Sunderland's way simply because we did not score Only Sissoko looked like doing that
Thought Newcastle played well enough
but not scoring says it all

The first half, sunderland played better for the majority of it, they had the closest chances with fletcher's flick on that hit the bar and wickhams header. Second half, we had chances, and probably should have scored, but we got nervous as we did in the first half. But wtf was pardew doing brining on Cabella with 1min to go, FFS.
As for the identity thing, no I'm not having a laugh and you will see later on in the season, "10 defenders" it's called a tactical gameplan vida, and as far as I'm concerned Sunderland didn't need to go all out as they had already kicked our asses twice in our backyard, the pressure was all on us to go for it and win, and Poyet utilised that. He is a tactically nous manager, something pardew will never be, as art said on a previous post, pardew did nothing to exploit their left back situation.
They have a good young modern manager, and I am afraid to say we can't compete with them anymore.
I feel like the pride and passion we used to have has just slowly been taken out of NUFC over the years

Don't be so down hearted. We played fairly well and got caught by a sucker punch. The few chances they created were much better than anything we had. We still missing the link between midfield and attack, something that Cabella and De Jong should be taking care of.
The defence is also on edge, it's only slightly improved from when we weren't winning games. I feel like Colo has lost half-a-yard but not physically, i mean mentally - he's not as sharp as he use to be.
Ameobi - for all his talent and trickery (it's so good that sometimes even he doesn't know which way he's going), he needs to be on loan in the championship to improve on those things. I'm certain his last 10 games has shown championship teams that he could be an asset.
I thought the decision to bring on Armstrong was incorrect, yes if we were 2-0 up but it should have been Cisse. It was not the time to give a young lad some experience.
Perez - surprises me even more with every game he plays. again, I think he would be a future number 10.
Coloccini - I really hope we are seriously planning for his replacement.
Saylor - We know he's not going to set the world alight but hope he retires with us.
Alnwick - the lad done well, can't help but think Krul would have pulled of one of his miraculous saves there. Man Utd will be a huge step up.
Janmaat/Dummet - would like to see them take on a full-back on the outside. I feel they both have good crosses in them but never see enough of them.

Armstong 2 Perez 2 should both have scored having done that the games was won. as it is it was they did not.
A quality striker has been the problem for a long time now and this team will be lucky to finish above the bottom 6 as will Sunderland.
Liverpool v Arsenal ffootball showed the massive gap berween Newcastle and Sunderland.

Geordie,
I disagree, Cisse for me is just useless, yes he may have 7 goals in 9 shots or whatever but he's lost it. As I said before, he's just lost so many aspects of his game in terms of holding the ball up, taking players on etc. he just can't do those things. Cabella should have been brought on a lot earlier in the second half, he's someone who can link up the play and add a bit of creativity and support

Yes, Cabella for Gouffran would have made more sense.
Really believe we need a Colo replacement for 15/16 season.
we've got a great squad but still fear that the management and coaching isn't of a level needed to bring them forward.

Hello Geordies,
I'm not a Toon supporter (although they are on my coupon today).
Just watching the game and thought of a wee song for you boys to sing to Ameobi.
Think of the Chitty Chitty Bang Bang song.
Oh you Sammy Ameobi, Sammy Ameobi we love you.
And our Sammy Ameobi, Sammy Ameobi loves us too.
Near far, everywhere we are on Sammy Ammi we depend,
Obi Sammy Ameobi, a Geordie til the end
Obi Sammy Ameobi, a Geordie til the end.
Good luck today boys
