Don't know how sland fans r comparing tiote t cattermole when most sland fans I know do not rate cattermole. Everybody knows he is a horrible player. Tiote is arguably one of the leagues beat defensive midfielders. That's why big clubs r chasing him. It's understandable. He controls our games pace n breaks up the play better than most.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Yes alot of us sunderland fans don't like cattermole because he is slow and thats why he fouls players alot, but tiote receives more yellow cards than him, proved that last season, you had to drop him the last 3 games because he would of been suspended for the start of this season

Agree3 Disagree0

Thats true but are you for real, cattermole on par with tiote, come on talk sense

Agree0 Disagree1

Tiote is top class, and I hope you hold on to him because he is only 25 and at his prime.

Agree1 Disagree1

Good players playing for a north east side are always sold on tiote will be gone in january if not the summer

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah well didnt tioite top the disaplinary chart?

Agree1 Disagree0

No1 mentioned the disciplinary chart.... ijust said mackems r sayin cattermoles better when blatently he isnt....

Agree0 Disagree3

Never said cattermole is on par with tiote, just said tiote is as bad as cattermole if not worse for bookings, admit he is better but he is not worth 20m or as some clueless person put on 30m

Any predictions for 3rd march 2012?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Newcastle 1-9 Sunderland The repeat.

Agree2 Disagree1

Haha how long ago was that? b4 nufc runner up in prem, won f.a cups and played in champs lgs what have sunderland done, well the have beaten nufc by being relegated more times SMB

Agree0 Disagree1

Champions league? Haha you're more likely to sign Messi! Ho ho ho

Agree3 Disagree0

I say it time and time again, Sunderland fans can't read. He said "played"as in... Newcastle played in the Champions league, in the past. Learn how to read before you reply.

Agree2 Disagree1

But the question i keep saying is who was the last one to win a mayor trophy out of us yes the answer is sunderland 1973, the fact is you lot may of finished champs league places but what have you won since what the 1960's or something? exactly point proved, got no excuses, also why hasn't the deluded geordie put all the results on, the only year he did put the two was 2008, funny thing is there will be geordies putting excuses on and just to note a big big club wins main trophys and thats something both our clubs haven't done for alot of years

Agree1 Disagree0

And as I said myself, 'Champions League? More chance of signing Messi' so therefore I was making the statement that you have no chance (that's 0% by the way) of getting into the Champions League so actually it is yourself who needs to get into the books again and learn to read.

Agree1 Disagree2

I think he clarified his point by restating ‘played’ in the champions league, not stating will qualify for the champions league. This is further confirmation of your own stupidity. Please for the love of all that is sane, do not respond to this as it will only make you and your kind – SMB look even more stupid that you look and sound already. Wait I will translate into SMB murrrh murrh muurrh quinny like, murrnnhh murrhh murrh beat youz like in the rein and that like, murrrhh murrh murrh murrr.

Agree0 Disagree1

So you were making a statement about our ability to qualify for up coming CL competitions? and were not referencing the previous post? Don't try and change your story now because you were made to look dumb. Clearly you responded to the pervious post.. That post said "played" not qualify, so ether you can't read, or you're now trying to cover up your stupidity by saying you weren't responding directly to this chain of posts. If you wanted to talk about our inability to ever again qualify for Europe, try starting a new post, or learn to express yourself better. And as stated below, stop talking you're making all Sunderland fans look bad.

Agree0 Disagree2

I quite clearly commented on what I stated you fool. So therefore disappear before you embarrass yourself further boy.

Agree0 Disagree1

Not very often the double is done in the same season so i will go for a 1-1 or 0-1

Agree0 Disagree1

Whats embarrassing is your team, 2 points above the drop, fact!

Agree0 Disagree1

At the end of the day the whole country is laughing at you lot! Also top dogs 3 years running, won the last major silverware and the most established premier force in the north-east for the past 3 years so guess its time to read the facts little boy.

Agree3 Disagree0

The funny thing is the stupid geordie saying that don't comment back coz he is letting the sunderland fans down, have you realised it was somebody else not the same mackem, ha don't comment back coz you making the newcastle fans seem thick! HA SGB

Agree7 Disagree0

HA that was so funny!

Agree0 Disagree0

Witty retort geordie boy

Can anyone tell me why we give so many penaltys away?? because the stats are that over half of the goals we concede are penalties. If we can give less away then me have more of a chance of winning. We can't afford to give penalties away to top 4 sides like man u and chelsea!!!

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Because you cheat, foul and cannot cope against the other teams constant attack into your box?Penalies are normally a sign of the other teams dominance.

So are we just a selling club if tiote goes. Are we just going sell our best players for top money so Ashley can line his pockets. I ask what our aim is in the premiership. To compete or to make the numbers up. Looks like we will bring players in on the cheap soon as shown any potential profit. They will be sold. Very disappointed with pardew statement. Wants to get a backbone and make a stance no one for sale. Can not see us achieving anything with this method. Even if we got a place in Europe. We Wont last the first round by selling best players. Only person to benefit from this Ashley.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Because you cheat, foul and cannot cope against the other teams constant attack into your box?Penalies are normally a sign of the other teams dominance.

Agree2 Disagree1

Well the league table doesnt lie! liking sunderlands spot haha

Agree0 Disagree4

Ye right the league table doesn,t lie but we are only in november and by the end of the season there is only 2 things guaranteed sunderland will finish higher than where they are now and newcastle will def finish lower than where they are now but as a sunderland fan it guts me to admit newcastle will be top dogs this season

found this on the chelsea page

Chelsea will launch a £20million January bid to land Newcastle midfield enforcer Cheick Tiote.

Andres Villas-Boas has made the combative Ivory Coast midfielder his top New Year target, but knows he will face tough competition from Manchester United.

And Toon boss Alan Pardew is warning potential suitors that they will have to break the bank to land a player who cost just £3.5m from Twente Enschede sixteen months ago.

Significantly, Pardew has not ruled out a Tiote departure in the next window, but is adamant that it will take a mega-money, Andy Carroll-style offer to prise the coveted 25-year-old from Newcastle’s grasp. The Toon top brass are very much aware of Chelsea’s interest in Tiote, who has been tracked by the Stamford Bridge regime since Carlo Ancelloti’s reign.

The Londoners tried to sign Tiote in January and again showed interest in July. But now the signs are that it could be third time lucky for Chelsea with Newcastle’s policy of self-suffiency indicating that every player has his price.

Pardew was candid in his assessment of potential January moves for Tiote, but insisted Newcastle are in a position to demand top dollar for not only Tiote, but any of their stars.

The Toon boss said: “It is going to cost a hell of a lot of money, a hell of a lot of money because we’re in that position now.

“I think any of our players that get linked to other clubs, those clubs are going to need to know they’ll need to pay a shed load of money to get anyone out of this football club.”

When asked if potential suitors would have to come up with the sort of deal that made £35m Carroll the most expensive English footballer in history- Pardew replied: “Absolutely!”

He added: “I don’t envisage anyone going out in this window.

“But if a club, one of the top clubs, comes in and wants to pay way, way over the odds we’ll have to look at it.”

Whatever happens, Tiote is going to be away on international duty with the Ivory Coast in January and Pardew admits that Newcastle have to plan for all eventualities.

A deal for Sochaux and Mali striker Modibo Maiga is already pencilled in as one of two possible incomings, but the Toon boss admits there may be a third signing if Tiote or anyone else departs.

He explained: “We have looked at the African Nations Cup and we have looked at the next window.

“I think the maximum we would do is two players in. That would be our maximum. Then if anyone left, it would be a third.”

But Chelsea are determined to get their man this time and believe that in Michael Essien — Tiote’s role model — and Didier Drogba, his Ivorian international team-mate and close friend. they have two aces they can play to lure their target to London.

The Toon hardman, who equalled the Premier League bookings record last term with 14 yellow cards, has previously insisted he is happy at Newcastle, but has expressed a desire to play Champions League football.

Newcastle are in a powerful position having persuaded Tiote to sign a new six-and-a-half year deal in February which strengthened their bargaining hand.

Gloating makems, just remember this: after 12 games so far this season, NUFC have only lost once - and you've only won twice!

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Wait to the end of the season before you compare stats coz after the next few games you won't be so happy about your so called barcelona team

Agree2 Disagree1

The next 2 games have no bearing on were the toon finish at the end of the season, you makems make me laugh, yous should be really worried were yous finish this season, but no you would rather come on here and have a go at us.its pure jealousy.

Agree4 Disagree2

Smb couldnt beat fulham at home, you need to get ya own sh*t in order before coming on here spouting

Agree3 Disagree2

Just like to say to the sad mackems leaving comments on here start worrying about ya own team that has only 2 of its last 14 games at home and you have a cheek to have a go at us for losing one

Agree2 Disagree1

No we have a go coz your arrogance is pathetic, gloating over a good start, see who is gloating by the end of the season

Agree1 Disagree2
