Here is the problems with the Andy Carroll transfer.
1. Brendan Rogers public comments have devalued Andy as an asset so Liverpool are struggling to get decent money. Why didn't the big mouthed fool just keep it shut and do his bidding in private.
2. Andy is on £80k per week at Liverpool with 4 years left on his contract, so someone would have to take the pill.
3. He appears to be telling his agent that he will only discuss terms with Newcastle.
4. Newcastle are in the driving seat and don't seem to want to offer serious money for him or pay him more than half his current rate.
So either Andy and Liverpool take a huge pill to make this happen, or he stays at Liverpool until Rogers get the sack, which on his opening few weeks may not be too long. {Ed001's Note - he is on about 50k a week, nowhere near 80k, no new signing at Liverpool is on over 70k a week, only Suarez is on that amount.}
That old cart horse gerrard makes up for it edd some where over the 100k mark......k
If Toon offered 12-15 million that is serious money for AC, because Liverpool payed 35 million doesnt make him worth loads of money,compare him with others and top price would be 15m
If the 13 Million bid is true i think Newcastle have offered too much.
When is the last time a striker who scored 6 league goals in 18 months of football went for over the 10 million mark? Never likely.
13 million to much when fletcher is vallued at 10 million................k
Yakabu was available on a free from what i remember, He blew Carroll away in the premier league last season and that was at Blackburn who were playing clueless football.
