Ricardo Quaresma has left Besiktas he's better and a bit younger than Jonas Guitterz so sign him

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Hes a very difficult player to manage. was suspended by his club before being released due to his attitude towards his manager. refused to be subbed during a recent game and then blasted the manager saying "you cant take me off the pitch during a game as i am this club and i brought you you here"

dont need another big head at st james

Anyone think Ashley should break the wage structure to get Walcott and then build a team around him and HBA? I reckon 10-15 million would get him in January and worth 100k a week.

Imagine a spine of:

Krull

Collo

Tiote Cabaye

HBA Wallcott

Just need a quality CB and full back to complement Santon and Collo and a couple of decent wide players to complete the jigsaw.

Believable1 Unbelievable5

And then HBA, Cabaye, Ba, Krul, Tiote and more will want pay rises and if they don't get one they'll probably look to leave.
Is it worth it?
And why would Theo want to play for a team sitting above the relegation zone?

Agree4 Disagree1

Fair point but they will be looking for big pay rises soon anyway otherwise they will be off, Cabaye is an example of that in the summer. If Theo could see a team going places, where he plays as a central striker on the money he wants he will come. WIth him in the side and a bit of investment we would not be down the bottom end of the table.

Agree0 Disagree2

Walcott. jigsaws. get real for goodness sake.those days are gone we are in a relagation situation again. This is stupid talk.we are not even remotely likely to sign players like Walcott.why would they want to come here.its the pits to players like this.

Agree1 Disagree1

Also - and I don't want to be blunt - Walcott is cr*p. Ben Arfa is a genius compared to him. A footballing Mind.

Agree1 Disagree1

No its just you, walcott is good, but only when he has football minded ppl playing around him. with jonas and tiote playing and passing the way they are, and cabaye injured he will be a complete spectator

Agree0 Disagree0

As a mag id love to sign walcott as he would offer so much more release than we have at the minute but we have to face it and accept he wouldnt come ere.

may move to another london team and its well known he wants to stay down there as his lass is currently working as a sports physio in portsmouth so he would be a long way from her up ere

Remy would be greta to bring in if we can, but I would prefer to get rid of cisse instead of Ba. Ba and Remy can both play on the wing so would improve our versatility. i would try get rid of obertan as part of the remy deal too. Sissokho would be awesome to bring in, along with Debuchy, or possibly Micah Richards, who would also provide cover at CB. I think we should use Cambell in the first team more as well, as he brings a much different type of striker to any striker we have been linked with so far... look at Aguero, one of the best strikers in the league, and he isn't a giant, but knocks them in every week.

Believable3 Unbelievable2

When you compare cisse and ba in the 433 striker cisse is more prolific and consistent but in the 442 with a good strike partner, ba is better but 433 works for us as a team. Also ba is being a bit selfish and we should move on from him, because this saga is just annoying me.

Agree4 Disagree0

Ba can play on the wing?

I do not mean to be rude but did you watch him play out wide when he came back from the Afcon last season?

He was by far and away our worst player in the 2nd half of last season, ferguson was coming on and lifting the team, such was the substandard of Ba's wide football.

You only have to watch Ba take the ball into his feet to know he is not the most skillfully blessed footballer, he tries the occasional backheel but that by no means makes him a dribbler or composed.

Cisse has skill with his feet, and unlike Ba has tracked back and made tackles when played wide.

I have total faith in our number 9, his predatory instincts are looking sharp again. Cisse was only stopped by some very good goal keeping against Man City.

Agree2 Disagree3

What games and what player are you watching? Of course Ba can play on the wing! its his natural position. thats where he played for west ham and the team in germany.

also when he played out there cisse was scoring bag fulls.

on top of that you say Ba cant atke a ball with his feet!

Eh? most of his goals are taken in his stride before striking them at goal so that kind of rubbishes your thoughts doesnt it?

yes cisse is more skillfull on the ball but not at taking the ball in his stride and add the fact that Ba tortured man utds defence last season with his direct running and general ball play id think again

Agree0 Disagree0

I will ask this question again.

Did you see the games in which Ba played wide after coming back from the Afcon?

I would be willing to wager my house on the fact that Ba gave the ball away more than any other premier league player in the 2nd half of the league last season.

If you think Ba can play wide then answer me the above question.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where did you get the information that Ba played on the wing in Germany and at West Ham, you are denigrating a very legitimate argument here and then making up facts.

To be fair if you are going to correct someone on a footballing idea it would probably be best if you did not make up facts about players that simply do not exist.

Ba is not a winger, never has been, never will be.

Agree0 Disagree0

No idea aout his time in Germany but Ba was very often used coming in from the left, with very good affect, at West Ham.

Geordie Moses

Believable16 Unbelievable10

If ba goes then I think he will, he's already said he attractive to Newcastle, plus we have a number of French players at the club, so it won't be hard to fit in. I hope will that we will get rid of Simpson, Williamson and Jonas, and bring in a rb, cb and sissoko

Agree1 Disagree1

Either way we need another quality striker and the clubs management team and owner have acknowledged this so i expect him to be coming in

Is the ba clause still to a champions league club? Just not sure why I've read qpr are looking to bid. Does Harry 'del boy' redknapp still think he's at spuds?

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Think it means teams outside of champions lge can buy they just have to pay more

Agree2 Disagree0

The release is only to a team playing in the champions league so that would also rule out man city and chelsea but apparent interest still from russia and turkey

any club outside the champions league will have to py his market value or the clubs valuation which would probably be over 15 million and pushing 25 million.

Agree0 Disagree2

Sly sports have been saying he can go to anyone, it kind of makes sense when you think about it. No one knows who will be in next years cl. Its up to him to choose who he goes to!

Agree2 Disagree2

Pushing 25 million ?? more like 11 mill i reckon

Agree0 Disagree0

11 million for a guy who scored 8 goals in 14 games for west ham, 16 by xmas for us last year and 11 already in the league this year?

come on, be serious!

mich has been quoted as being worth nearly 30 million so ba would surely be pulling the same kind of figure.

carrol cost 35 million and look at him

torres cost 50 million and would still cost you a good fee so surely with the fact Ba does score it would push his fee up to at least 20 million
