lads, I really want to own a ferrari but I'm only prepared to pay 10 grand. the ferrari garage won't sell at that price. If I tell them I am off to the porsche garage instead, do you think they will change their mind. Not only does Lee Charnley share this mind numbingly stupid strategy with our media partners the mirror, he also is targeting the captain and striker of a newly promoted club who now has loads of money 80m if I hey stay up.
I'm sick of reading about our club, it is an embarrassment

what we all knew would happen is happening. For those that listened to Mike Ashleys interview he said continue to invest. well over the last 5 years we have seen at least 100 m come into the club on player sales, i'm certain we haven't spent anywhere near that. probably 60m?
so if we are to continue that investment expect to see sales before we buy. unlike Southampton who have replacements lined up, we will sign shefki kuqi or play someone out of position who is useless.
Mike Ashley has made his voice heard, if he is serious about winning something then don't have a tea boy running a multi million pound business. this is elite sport so bring in someone who knows how to run it.
The lies continue, the search for a manager should not have changed anything about recruitment based on the model we have. It is either gross mis management, or ashleys lies made to look like gross mis management. his move to step away from the board suggests the latter.
Ashley is the landlord of a rat infested dos house who thinks he can charge premium rent and get away with the occassional lick of paint. time to stop paying rent my fellow fans, I have always tried to be fair and reasonable. it is clear to see there is no intention to build yet alone win anything. This club is headed for oblivion and everyone can see it.

Talk about doom and gloom, let's just wait and see who comes in and what sort of side McLaren can muster before we start judge.

Nobody is judging McLaren, we are judging the ownership and directorship of the club, for which there is 8 years evidence to support the feeling of impending doom. Not sure if you've watched much of Newcastle over the last 4 years plunjar, but we are seeing history repeat itself every summer. And each season we have got dangerously closer and closer to relegation.

Watched Newcastle for year's desree used to be a season ticket holder under the old regime and this one. So I've seen excellent football and utter crap. You maybe right the fatman might have lied on the last day and not invest, but let's wait and see? I have the feeling he got a big fright last month at how close he came to losing a lot of money, and might just invest a bit more this time around? c'mon the toon!

{Ed001's Note - can I ask what he said regarding making an investment? The only comment I saw was that he wasn't going to be leaving until you won a trophy. Which to me just said he was sticking two fingers up to those who wanted him out and was his way of saying he was going nowhere, not that he was going to be investing.}
