Someone mentioned Seydou Doumbia in a previous post.

He does look like a great striker in the peak of his career at 25, reminds me a bit of Oba Martins.

But why would he leave CSKA to come to newcastle and would also cost a pretty penny coming from Russia, doubt we could match their wages. Are probs owned by another multi-billionaire who owns them as a hobby.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cos if you had ever been to Moscow then Benwell on a tuesday night looks like Las Vegas.

l'equipe report hba is a target for Liverpool makes you wonder if him and tiote are to be sold with neither making a fuss about Wonga deal

Believable0 Unbelievable0

That doesn't make sense. Sell players because they are making no fuss about the wonga sponsorship.

Agree0 Disagree0

They can have him for 25mil because that's what it will cost to take him from Newcastle do u think anyone will pay that for an injury prone player doubt it very much

Agree0 Disagree0

You won't get 25m for him i'd say being honest 15-17m tops

Have Been looking around on YouTube for any footage of a decent left winger that realistically Newcstle could go for.

Romain Alessandrini of Rennes looks a pretty good player. Is only 24 and has a great left foot almost like Robert. He also scored about 13 goals last season which is great for a midfielder. And as he is French I would imagine that Carr will have looked at him.

Please guys go an make them an offer. We are getting very depressed with the lack of signings and now all the stuff with Cisse and Wonga. We desperately need something to give us a lift for the season ahead.

Anyone else seen much of Alessandrini?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree haven't seen him, but if he looks decent he might be on our radar. viktor fischer is a winger we should look at as well

Agree0 Disagree0

YouTube makes anyone look good

Agree0 Disagree0

Have never heard of him so he must be rubbish! ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

If you have never heard of him there is a chance we could go for him.

The days of us signing good well known players are over. Which could be a good thing, at least we won't be paying over the odds for players that are not that good (Albert, Boomsong etc). But it's also frustrating seeing so many great players out there that we would never be in for. Shearer was the greatest buy ever for a record fee but then Owen was a terrible waste of money. Doesn't look like Newcastle are willing to take the risk anymore.

Am very unsure about Gomis. But it looks like that's the best that Newcastle are able to get/willing to pay for. That's the level we are at unfortunately.

We are going to have take risks on unheard of players like Alessandrini that don't cost an arm and a leg. Look at how well it turned out with Sissoko, Tiote an Cabeye. Only spent about 10mil on all 3 and how good are they now. Alessandrini would be amazing compared to Jonas on the left. Don't get me wrong though, am not saying Jonas is useless am sure he is worth his place in the squad (work-rate/experience etc). But we need someone who at least has a good left foot and may score a few as at the moment we get nothing from that side of the pitch.

Sunderland are on the verge of getting Aly Cissokho. That takes there's signings upto 10. Wtf is going on at Newcastle? They can sign a player like Giaccerini from Italian champions and we can't seem to be able the keep hold of Cisse or even get a past it Darren Bent or a relegated club striker in Remy. Again I ask what the hell is going on? I fear the worst come derby day if it stays like this. Something needs to happen and happen fast!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Isn't cissokho the player we decided to turn down, because carr thought he wasn't good enough? yes they've got 10 signings, I really am not bothered, they have basically done a QPR, bring in lots of players but all of them being average at best. let alone them having an unproven manager whos had beginners luck

Agree0 Disagree0

Who cares who Sunderland signs. Personally never heard of any of them and playing in the PL is a whole different challenge. Good luck to them for trying but I am not worried about derby day.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not fussed as to who Sunderland sign frankly.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would not worry about derby day either, wots the point. 6 points to mighty SAFC

Agree0 Disagree0

The smbs sign a new team each season and still struggle to stay in the prem. look at the big picture all them players have to jell only 1 of them has prem experience. and every top manger nows all these players need a least a season to get up to speed with the prem and livening in a differnt country and language. just look at us

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr mackem you spelt NUFC wrong

Agree0 Disagree0

None of 5under1and players are good most of them are class c players and most of them were free. look at qpr signed 12 players and got relegated sunderland are panic buying like arsenal two years ago. teams we should be worried about are swansea norwich and southampton. what pardew and carr are doing are looking for players who can boost the squad and improve them like remy toby alderwield gomis gamiero gignac who all have champions league experience who can help us to a top 10 finnish

Agree0 Disagree0

Team you should be worried about my friend is Newcastle.

Agree0 Disagree0

So your not bothered but you constantly wine on here about us signing so called nobodies? what internationals and european, champs league experienced players are nobodies? mmmm green eyed monster is out G0rdi3s!

Liverpool closing in on Ben Arfa.
Why is it that your club is linked more with players leaving than are being signed?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Jeez your boring. Your best player has left and your next best wants to leave so what you banging your gums about? You signed Rose yet?

Agree0 Disagree0

They will need a big offer then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland only had 3 good players last season.

1. Migs - sold.

2. Rose - went home.

3. Fletcher - injured.

They have replaced those players with mediocre players from either amateur leagues or from teams that did not want them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeez you are one of the most irritating mackems that hardly know anything about football. Weive actually been linked with 62 players IN this summer, and 17 of ours linked out. Check your facts before you post. liverpool have only been linked with him, anyway i'd rather be in our position now rather than yours! you're signing a large quantity of nobodys! SMB

Agree0 Disagree0

Cisse, Cabaye, Ameobie and Ben Arfa all due to leave the circus.
Unlikely to get Rose, Spurs want to keep him.
How are you doing in bringing players in?

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably Jeez because we have players worth signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeez are you Ashley in disguise as that is the only way you would know who is leaving Newcastle. Don't you lot say it every window that our players are leaving. Never happened has it? Worry about your very average team, mirror Image of QPR. Look what happened to them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not me, I am just repeating what the press are saying. There again you say that the press are against Newcastle.
I wonder why that is?
As for being Ashley in disguise, he winds you up better than I ever could.
It makes me laugh when I read comments that you only need a couple of signings to get in top 4. You have already lost 3 and another 2 or 3 to go and you have to replace them all. With the progress so far, no wonder you are all worried. What quality players would join the circus?
Remy? ha ha, could end up in jail.
Bent? ha ha, no one else wants him.
Gomis? ha ha, will go to AV a properly managed club.
Just as well that you are linked with another 59.

Agree0 Disagree0

So jeez your saying that no one else wants most of our targets. Why don't you look at yours? Average at best. Sunderland to do a QPR, newcastle to finish top 8.

Agree0 Disagree0

Jeez what really makes me laugh is when you mackems shout off about your new dawn under PDC. Haven't we heard this all before under Bruce and O Neil. You certainly don't wind me up I find you funny especially when you will go back into hiding with the rest of your fair weather fans when you realise the rubbish Sunderland have bought are just that. By the way the players that have left are fringe players yours was your best player. Deluded SMB.

Agree0 Disagree0

And your new dawn is just rising under big Joe. Have fun

Agree0 Disagree0

We are not claiming a new dawn under Joe are we. We don't want him in Newcastle. We will leave the drum banging to you lot.

Agree0 Disagree0

But you have got him in newcastle whether you like it or not. I do not claim to know of all the players we have signed just as any honest mag would admit to the same about those you got in january. Some were good admitted but some are poor and Sunderland will find out the same. The point is we are making an effort and JK et al are asleep.

Agree0 Disagree0

The players we bought in January have settled and now have PL experience and will be better for it next season. Sunderland on the other hand have bought a whole new team with non of them other than antidote having PL experience. Could turn out to be a huge gamble and is your chairman going to fund again in January if it doesn't turn out like you hope.

Team for next year?

GK Krul
RB Dubchy
CB Colo
CB M'Biwa (cpt)
LB Santon
RW Ben Arfa
CM Tiote
CM Cabaye
LW Jonas
ST Vudick
ST Guffran

In all honestly, we probs won't have Cabaye, doesn't look like Cisse wants to stay. i'm starting to lose faith.

Can any remember the start of the season 2 years ago, 11 games unbeaten. We all said we would get Europa (we got it) before Christmas last year we all thought we blew our chances of staying in the league.

im not starting to think our whole beloved club isn't what it once was, and will never be back to the Newcastle United we all Kept The Faith in :- (

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Are you trying to emulate Joe Kinnear with that spelling?! Plus Coloccini will definitely be Captain next season, if you think differently then your out of your mind.

Agree0 Disagree0

Take out jonas and vuckic (bench) and gouffran for remy and ince, gomis.

but we may be surprised, at the 11/12 start, we didn't think we'd be that great under pardew, but look where we got to.

Is newcastle owned by mike Ashley himself or his company? Just when he finally pops his clogs will we have a new sports direct person or will the club be sold?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Not considering helping him on his way I hope mind lol

Another week gone by and no sign of a striker coming with the possibility of losing Papis as well now.

We needed two strikers if Papis goes we will need three, where are they coming from. Didn't score enough goals last season and conceded to many. All other teams strengthening their squads except Arsenal ( same crap and promises coming from their manager and board).

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gomis, bent, remy, ince, kouyate

Funny seeing this comments about Gignac being rubbish etc. from what I have seen the kid is a handfull! be lucky to get a player like him or gomis. you really think these top players everyone is wanting us to get would come to our club? once the fat lad is gone and we have a owner who is ambitious and wants to put money into the squad to challenge for cups is when you will see top players at the toon! I reckon remy and bent will come in and that's us done this summer. let's hope pardew plays players in there proper position this season. we should do alright! Geordie sean
