Newcastle is becoming a joke. The biggest game of the season tomorrow and no left back and no striker. We have been after a striker for 2 year and still nothing. We sell ourbest ayers and don't replace them. It's now turned into a proper business, make profit (48 million) will never progress with that attitude. Get Ashley out

Believable4 Unbelievable3

This is all true. luckily sunderland are totally rubbish & no matter how many players they bring in, they still cant give us a decent game. Still cant see wer the goals are gonna come from in open play.. come on toon, plug those gaps in the team which are desperately needing sorted for when we play someone with substance.

Ive got a ticket for tomorow and will be at the stadium of sh*te willing the lads on regardless of MA not spending cos i support the lads on the pitch not the in the boardroom Lets all get behind the players and show them we there for them and we REALLY want them to whallop the SMBs

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Prob the most truthful thing said on here in a longtime we don't run the club all we can do to help is get behind the players tmrw and be the 12th man

Agree5 Disagree1

This shows why all the people calling for boycotts are utter morons

Agree3 Disagree1

Too right lads doesnt matter what our beef is with the t**ts upstairs. We cant not let the lads down who are on the pitch

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Even if we lose tomorow it wont be a stuffing MA not a great chairman but NUFC is my club and no matter what i will back them if not the chairman. I will be at the SOL cheering the lads on tomorow and laughing at the SMBs when we give it to them and show up old tired legs brown Im taking JB to score first with a 2-1 win for the toon

Agree3 Disagree0

Cheer the lads on.... but please at the sos not the half filled sol

So Pardew has put his foot in it again, over the Elliott fiasco. He is making himself and the club look foolish.

Believable5 Unbelievable2

He's not the 1 making the club look foolish.

So, newcastle have missed out on Teteh Bangura, the Sierra Leonian striker from AIK. I know the Swedish league is of a lower standard than the premiership, but i believe he could have stepped up his game, and he was bought for 2.8 million Euros... surely thats not too much from Ashley for a 21 year old?

{Ed042's Note - Not enough international appearances for English work permit apparently, number of English clubs were looking at him}

ed could you tell me if lovenkrands is in Newcastle plans and if not how much routhley would he cost cheers ed

{Ed042's Note - He is a good lad, players and staff like him but hes no more than back up, if we could offload him we would, valued at around 1 - 1.5m}

mackem in peace, some of you lot have been saying you would get a left back and striker in before sat, well it's almost 3pm on friday afternoon and still nothing, personally just think it is more false promises from ashleys puppet pardew to keep abit of pressure off himself. now there is rumours barton is off after the derby and simpson contract talks have stalled, not looking good. Anyway think 2mora will be a good game and close but I think we will edge it 1-0 or 2-1 to SAFC.

Believable5 Unbelievable6

Mate if we do nothing else this season as long as we beat smb ill be happy coz i f***ing sick of the red nosed x geordie saying this saying that toon players can be cult heoros on tyneside 1600 sat come on the toon

Bored at work so a thought id do summit interesting. Im not criticing what Ashley is doing as I agree with him in regards to reducing the wage bill and also the age of the squad, but ive done a bit of research and pulled some figures together.

Income:
Carrol Sale-35 Mil
Nolan Sale -4 Mil (est)
Enrique Sale -6 Mil (est)
Routledge Sale -2 Mil
Matchday sales-Based on average attendance(49,000) and lowest match ticket price (£26) -£25.5 Mil
Media Income-42 Mil-This is based on two years ago and does not taker into account this years TV income rise
Shope and Sponsorship as of two years ago- 30 Mil- we have since had a new shirt released and also a new sponor.

Expenditure:
Cabeye-4.5 Mil
Obertan- 3 Mil

Wages based two years ago-bear in mind we have since got rid of most big earners ie owen viduka martins nolan list goes on so very likely to have reduced.

Income 144.5 Expenditures 77.5
Total Income 67 Mil

Fair Enough other expenditure such as bills and agent fees are not listed but surely it can cost 67 mil, again income is most likely to be higher due to the reason i have stated. Two players at 7 mil each aint gunna dent the fact that Ashley is still makin a profit.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

Business man mate, he is making your club stable and making a profit

Agree0 Disagree1

Youve made more money than any other team in Europe according to the media. But look on the bright side, if you stake £3.46 on Sessegnon to score first tomorrow at least it will pay for one home game ticket. One in the eye for Ashely mate.

Agree1 Disagree0

I knw hes a business man and as i said i dont have a problem with what hes doing, but surely from any business mans point of view (doesnt matter if hes plannin on making it into a profitable business or planning to sell on) the better the team performs the more money your goin to get from 1) increased money based on perfomance we got around 7 mill for 12th pos 2) increased media sales from better coverage 3)increased gate revenue from increased attendace 4)increased sponsorship deals the list is endless. Im not asking him to blow a rubbish load of money on someone lyk we used to do or even doin a man city and buyin a rubbish load of new players. im just sayin spend money in the places everyone can identify as a serious problem within the teams perfomance. Look at arsenal...they have not bought the players they require to play at the level they shud have and as a results they have dropped in performance

Agree1 Disagree0

I disagree bout what what your saying about man city (this season so far anyway) they have bought very very good players for decent fees. Whereas liverpool have spent 100m on the most mediocre players to grace PL football. Many are overrated and not one is special.

Agree3 Disagree0

I only used man city as an example also didnt say rubbish in original message was actual a swear word used to exagerate the quantity of players they have purchased...but yes agree with you on the liverpool point

My golf buddy is a journo at the chron. Not sports but he's constantly at the spots journos for updates. He tells me it's known that Ashley has loosened the purse strings to let Pardew make a realistic offer for Maiga and Cissoko. Something should happen by Monday. The bizarre thing is the only thing that might get in the way of both players coming is a win at 5under1and. As ashley thinks enough has been spent to avoid relegation already and is only bending to pressure from Llambias.........SteveToon

Be interested to know if anyone here thinks we'll make a signing today and if so would they be elligable to play against the mackems tomorrow? I think we all agree we need a LB and at least 1 if not ideally 2 new strikers.

I'm still confident we'll get a win tomorrow. Let's keep positive and get behind the team, even if you don't agree with the way MA runs our club.

Pete

Believable2 Unbelievable4

They would have been if they were signed before 12 but it's too late now so were stuck with wat we got I'm afraid

news from france today, lyon striker gomis is for sale, he is 24 25 good skill pace and f.goal scorer and would be a great signing for the club he would cost us £8m

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Would be a good signing for us with champions league exprience. Far Ash will probably offer 2million and 10k wages and say we tried to buy him and we will piss off another club

Agree2 Disagree0

Gomis is crap, he's nearly as bad as Oba, runs everywhere, really quick, nowt else NEXT
