I'm getting really annoyed and concerned now. Reports are that we will not pay £15m for Austin who is proven in the EPL but will look to sign Deeney who has never played there because he is £5m cheaper! Also we are only interested in signing Cabaye on loan, why he is proven and at 29 has at least 3 good years left if not more. FFS there is £35m in the bank incurring interest never mind what else is squirrelled away and extra TV revenue so just bl00dy spend it. I have this sick feeling we will not sign anyone of note, all the teams in and around us will strengthen, McLaren will spit the dummy and walk out, we will end up with avid O'Bleary in charge and go down never to return for many a year.

{Ed001's Note - war chest? Any article mentioning that is talking nonsense mate, it simply does not work like that. I would not trust Ashley to invest heavily though, as it would eat into his profit. His whole business model is based on running with as little spent as possible to maximise profits. All of his businesses are run the same way, including Newcastle, I fail to see how his comments meant any more than he was not going anywhere, because he certainly will not invest to win anything.}
