Cisse probably on his way having been fined £5000 for refusing to wear the Wonga gear - if he doesn't pay by Friday it will go up to £62, 829. 50!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

This is the banter page, 99 times out of 100 I come on here and see the drivel that doesn't make the rumours page. Every now and then someone comes out with a cracker, good job son.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fulham to get Cisse

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice work OP.

Summer Transfers
In

Bent - £5m from villa
Remy - £8m from qpr
Sinclair - loan with view to £5m transfer
Hughes - £6m from derby

Out

Cisse - £13m to Anzhi as refusing to wear wongashirt
Williamson - £2.5m to Cardiff
Gosling - free to palace with 40% of future sell on value

So total spent £19m but £15.5m recouped so total spend £3.5m.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree mate. remy might only be about 6m. I reckon we could get about 15m for cisse. also I think jonas and obertan should go, to give way for our youths

Agree0 Disagree0

If Cisse stays we only need Remy or Bent not both as have Gouffran and Campbell.

Would rather have Ince over Sinclair don't need both.

Hughes would be good buy but many others want him also.

Ince could solve problem left wing position, but are many other great players in that position available. We just need to show a little ambition and spend a bit cash.

Would love a better defensive CM (Verratti, I wish) but think Huddlestone would be good buy as can pass and knows what the premier league is all about.

If Williamson goes just need young CB to bring through as would be 4th choice behind Colo, Taylor and Mbiwa.

Obertan needs to go! Just let him leave for nothing. But need young wingers left and right as backup and to push first teamers.

Am stuck at airport with nowt to do so have had plenty of time to think of other players I would love to see us sign but am not even going to mention them as am just getting my hopes up.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it is personic to:

a) Think anyone would pay £15m for Cisse.

b) Believe the s**te about Cisse and the Wonga deal

c) Think anyone would pay £2.5m for Williamson

d) Pay £8m for Remy

e) Believe that Ashley will sanction a loan deal for Sinclair

In short this is neither banter nor rumour, AND if this is the extent of what you want to happen well, god help us.

Ed, what do you think of this whole Cisse situation. I feel he is in the right. I was told that because Virgin, Barclays etc are banks, that is completely different to a payday loan company in term of bekliefs. I say good on Cisse. Standing up for he's beliefs. Nobody wanted Wonga as a sponser- there was up roar. Now Cisse is standing up against them, a lot of people now saying let's just sell him and a smokescreen for him wanting away.
I' m backing Cisse.
Psycho. {Ed001's Note - it is not completely different, they are still money lenders, it is simply a case of some people trying to cover up for being less rigid about their beliefs. In my opinion he is simply using this as a convenient way to get himself a transfer to the London club sniffing around him and willing to up his wages significantly.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

His beliefs. I will say this again I didn't know the Koran had a passage in it reference pay day loans. Ed is right it's just an excuse to force a move.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would that be Fulham, Ed? {Ed001's Note - I actually thought it was Spurs, until I saw that post about Fulham. I hadn't even considered Fulham until then, not sure how far along their takeover is, they might not have the financial structure in place to make any signings this window. Man City managed to do so during their takeover because Robinho was bought as a good faith payment before all the paperwork etc was completed.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Can you blame him if he wants to engineer a move away. No ambition from the owner. I bet the players were promised all the same crap we were. Only to be let down. Again!
Qball.

IN:
Darren Bent - 5million
Loic Remy - 6million
Tom Ince - 8million
Cheikhou Kouyate - 5million

24million well spent.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

More like 4 million top spend.

So I want to hear who thinks bent will sign and why they want him

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think he will sign, and i'd like him. He's lethal, has an eye for goal, very quick and can beat the offside trap, he's in the mould of martins, and we haven't had a player like martins since he left

Agree0 Disagree0

Bent wants to get in England Squad for world cup (if we get there) so will work hard and if he can get on top form he would be an assett

Cisse won't fly to Portugal because of the dispute over the wonga sponsership he is training with the reserves I get the feeling we could loose him because of this dark days are looming

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cisse has put a transfer request in.

Agree0 Disagree0

We are going to need 3 strikers now. Good luck with that when we can't even get 1. Intereting to hear JK or Pardew put a positive spin on this.

Agree0 Disagree0

He will wear virgin media and a Barclays logo on his shirt but not wonga. Didn't know the Koran had a passage in it regarding interest rates. Furthermore Sissoko and Tiote have no issues with it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Get rid! Tosser! How cn he demand this or that on his overall performances last season? Missed more than most hot Scran! Other Muslim lads not a prob! Ta ta on your bike for me!

How about we train and make Santon a left winger and buy in Danny Rose?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I would prefer haidara at left back. More soild at back

Agree0 Disagree0

Would rather just give Haidara a chance with Dummett as back up.

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't need Rose we have Haidara and Dummet who according to Pards is pushing to be 1st choice left back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Buy danny rose? you g0rdi3s are laughable, levy wants top dollar for him and the only team he wants to come to is sunderland

Agree0 Disagree0

I very much doubt that will happen

Agree0 Disagree0

He won't go to 5under1and and we Wont go for him.

Agree0 Disagree0

We don't need him, but, if we wanted him, we could get him before Sunderland.

Rose wants to play for England so the natural move would be to Newcastle over Sunderland.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with 8th post, if we did go in for him, he would choose us before sunderland

Agree0 Disagree0

Did you see the joy on his face when Vaughan's rocket hit the back of the net. I think he would prefer to go to Boro than Newcastle. Get off your deluded arse and try to sign some players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Yh, his team won, why wouldn't he be happy? You Mr mackem get off your deluded arse, because you don't seem to realise that he said he would like to have a permanent move, but if a Newcastle or liverpool go in for him then he'd choose Newcastle or Liverpool.

Agree0 Disagree0

The arrogance and indeed ignorance of some Newcastle fans never ceases to amaze me. Your days of being Manchester United major rivals (ha ha) are long gone matey.

Agree0 Disagree0

SMB's becoming more and more cocky because of their signings who are average

Agree0 Disagree0

Youd like to think so let's just put it this way he wiuld never go to newcastle possibky to sunderland but its more than certsin he will stay at spurs

Agree0 Disagree0

So rose would go to you lot over sunderland? mmmm too much broon ale again g0rdi3s, 1 he was on loan at SUNDERLAND Last season, 2 he loved it there, 3 the fans loved him, 4 he already said he wants to come to us, 5 did you see his reaction when vaughan scored that 3rd goal against you? the deluded cartoon army are out in force again, but as I've already said Levy wants top dollar for him so he probs won't come

We looked very good against motherwell, some good passing moves, and vuckic was brilliant. No hoofball! only a pre season friendly though, also bent to sign by the weekend, great lethal and quick striker, get him in along with Remy, Ince or sinclair and a young centre back and we'll be all set to push for top 8

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Bent is quick or was quick in his day?

Agree0 Disagree0

Or stay in scotland and rival the mighty Motherwell for runners up in the SPL. dream on.

I reckon Ashley should blow the majority of the £60m TV money on one player. Wayne Rooney.
Offer Manchester United £40m cash and Rooney £250k a week and guaranteed start up front when he is fit and I think it would be a goer, money talks. We are OK elsewhere just need strengthening upfront and signing Rooney would ensure Cabaye and Ben Arfa etc stay. Bear in mind we have saved about 100k a week in wages already with the players sold/released and more to come when Gosling/Shola go so this could be used to placate anyone who whinges about Rooney's wages but to be honest I think our current players would be happy just to have him at the club. This would help the club get more and better sponsorship deals, increase our profile worldwide and sell more shirts and merchandise which would just about pay for Rooney anyway just as it has paid for Beckhams wages etc wherever he has gone.

I await your short sided, narrow minded abuse from those not commercial enough or ambitious enough to see it make sense.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

With your figures, we would only be able to offer him a 1. 5 year contract. still think it's a good deal?

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't mind the idea, but I think Rooney might.

Agree0 Disagree0

Has all this sun gone to your head, deluded

Agree0 Disagree0

The club would recoup enough in merchandise sales and sponsorship deals and higher premier league finishes to fund it remember you get about £500k per place the higher up you finish not to mention more TV money as we would surely be screened more with Rooney in the side and finishing higher and then there is revenue from cup runs. Besides is the £60m extra a year not an on going thing so £60m this year/next year etc etc, ED can you clarify please? {Ed001's Note - the increase in TV money is for the entirety of the current deal.}

Agree0 Disagree0

As I said money talks and if we offer Rooney £50k a week more, guaranteed regular football in his favoured position with very few midweek games meaning he can be in top nick for the world cup he would come. Whether or not he plays in the CL he will get picked for England and be £2.6m a year better off. Makes sense for him and for us and for England.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers I've just spat rioja over my desk aaah howay lads a little realism please

Agree0 Disagree0

Much more likely to go to a bigger club like Fulham with their new ambitious owner.

Agree0 Disagree0

We'll never pay ANY player 250k a week, not even Rooney.

Agree0 Disagree0

I did not say he would do it just that he should do it and that it is almost self funding. With Rooney in the team we would be challenging top 4.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would Rooney join your wee club? This is a fool that wants to leave one of the biggest clubs in the world, the guys a moron. How many other players have wanted to leave utd?

Agree0 Disagree0

"wee club" quit that "joke" we already contradicted you mackems about that ages ago, don't get the message? here it is again, if we are just a "wee club" Then sunderland wouldn't exist!

Agree0 Disagree0

As though Rooney would go to Newcastle, or Sunderland for that matter.
Pointless.

Disappointing to hear Pardew last night saying hoping to get one over the line and we haven't bid for anyone yet. Hope it's a smokescreen. If not either deals going on behind his back or he's been pretty much told one player and that's it. Which means experience and numbers wise we are again down on last year. Only team in Prem not to strengthen so far. I think the players we bought in Jan are pretty much it for us, they will improve now they are settled in and will have preseason under there belt. Would still love it if we could get Siem De Jong and Remy for about 15 million. With Harper, Perch, Simpson gone. Poss Shola (hopefully) Gosling and Williamson on the way out that would only be a net spend of about 10-12 million which is peanuts to the 60 mil TV MONEY.

Oh I wish I could see some ambition from our owner been a supporter for 46 years and would love to see the Toon win something

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Well we defo need a striker to replace Ba and a goalie to replace Harps. look how we needed him last day of the season with first two out injured. and I would say a good wide man who can actually cross well. Would say a RB as well now Simmo gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the new forward, to be honest I would say two.

A nice left winger would be nice, like you said someone who can cross, unlike Jonas.
Or move Santon up the wing as he likes to attack and cross
(if you move Santon then we will need another left back as cover for Hadira)

Agreed with the new right back as well now Simpson has moved on.

Goal keeper I wouldn't say we needed too much we have three already and the only way Alwick and Elliot will get any better is if they play games.

Agree0 Disagree0

Neither arsenalor wba have signed anyone this window {Ed001's Note - Arsenal signed a youngster, Yaya Sanogo if I remember correctly and West Brom signed Anelka.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasnt anelka a freebee {Ed001's Note - he said signed, not bought.}

Newcastle ease past Motherwell in a 4-2 win, with Sissoko, Gouffran, Vuckic and Maeveaux all getting on the score sheet. We saw some slick passing moves from the Magpies in a 4231 formation. Dummett made an appearance and looked decent. Vuckic looks like a player who could be very good for us in the upcoming season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Young Vuckic is awesome, yet everyone thinks young Campbell will be the one.

IF Vuckic keeps himself fit I can't see why he can't be a force next year. But it's an IF he stays hit.

He's quick, good passing, good shot, left footed, and his thinking on and off the ball is something beyond players his age. I really hope the lad gets a good chance this year!

Newcastle have hired fitness director is it? Faye Downey, no brainer I think, considering the lack of fitness and the amount of injuries we had last season. Let's hope this goes successful.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Do you not think the lack of fitness was due to the Europa games?

Agree0 Disagree0

They didn't all play in Europa games
