Team for Wba:
Elliot/Harper
Debuchy Taylor Mbiwa Haidara
Sissoko Tiote
Ben Arfa Cabaye Gouffran
Cisse

Just please pardew, put cabaye CAM and drop jonas.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Perch or Anita in place of Tiote.
Wonder what Pardews excuse will be if we lose to WBA "we trained all week and it took it's toll on us", it's so depressing to think we're stuck with him for years to come.

Agree0 Disagree0

Anita and Marveaux for tiote and guffran

Agree with this post if you want pardew to be sacked this summer, disagree if you want pardew to stay.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed, Why did you post it on banter, and why are the agree and disagree buttons gone?

Agree0 Disagree0

The agree & disagree buttons have been taken away for some odd reason.

Not sure why, the banter pages look terrible with these horrid lines under each post.

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree get the agree / disagree back. pardew out now don't wait.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pardew out now? don't wait? Who on earth would we replace him with with only 5 games left? Are you insane? Now would be the worst time to do it. However, in the summer I would like David Moyes or Roberto Martinez. Sadly that will not happen.

Geordie Al

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you kidding, who could replace him. King Al, true geordie boy, he would make us a great club again.

Agree0 Disagree0

I am Big Al's biggest fan and even have a Shearer shrine in my house but, really! The man that benched Collo and Nolan when we coudl not keep a clean sheet or score goals or had any fighting spirit and wanted rid of both if he had been appointed full time, the man that wanted to buy Ched Evans to lead our attack, the man that wanted £20+ million to spend to bring us back up, the man who brought in Iain Dowie as his number 2 for his experience yet whose only experience of Premiership management was to take Palace and effectively Charlton down and guess what we went down. A true Geordie and a local hero he is but he had the time and players to keep us up but fluffed his chance so what makes you think he would be any better now? Because he has spent time coaching players or managing elsewhere and getting better. no he has just taken the easy option and sat in a studio crticising while picking up the money without any pressure so how does this qualify him to save us? If you want a club legend and true Geordie to take over then it has to be one with a good track record, who has learnt his trade and has experience. Lee Clark.

Can any of you remember the last time you got exited by a managerial appointment at newcastle?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Keegan .

Agree0 Disagree0

Shearer?

Agree0 Disagree0

Shearer done well

Agree0 Disagree0

I love Shearer as much as the next Newcastle fan, I even met him when I was younger and he has been my idol ever since

But he didn't do good as a manager (just saying)

8 games - 5 Loses - 2 Draws - 1 Win

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully shearer can get like a championship job, and say if he's very successful, he could return home.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry 8 games isn't enough to determine if shearer is manager material, ashley had the perfect opportunity whilst in the championship to see if he could cut it, I have no doubts he would be a great manager given a bit more time, shame on you ashley. pardew out now

Agree0 Disagree0

Well other clubs are hardly lining up for him are they?

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, please get Shearer as your manager, get him home, Please Please. From a mackem-not in peace.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shearer never took over when we were in championship because of Transfer funds demands AND his excessive WAGE DEMANDS>

Ryan Taylor out for the rest of the season and potentially all of next season after injuring his knee again. Gutted about this as he's a useful player and handy to have on the bench.

Ryan Taylor has suffered another injury in his come back.

He is now going to be out most if not all of next season.

Big 'what the hell' face.

a bit of banter I read on a sunderland site the other day lads. what is your opinion, the lad was asking how he could get a bet on rafa benitez being your manager next year he alleges his girlfriends father works at sjp. would you welcome that appointment or are you happy with pardew.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Would never happen but would take benitez

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd love us to replace Pardew at the end of the season, however Rafa wouldn't be top of my list but would be an improvement of Pardew.

Agree0 Disagree0

If he came do you think he'd bring Torres. he doesn't seem to be able to play for any other manager

Pardew, whose side sit just two points clear of their Wearside rivals, has urged the club to look to next season to exact retribution.

“Next year we have to prove that we’re a bigger and better club, ” he told the Newcastle Chronicle.

"That's in terms of our Premier League position by finishing well above them [Sunderland]. That's what we are going to try to do next year. "

Wow, does anyone else feel so excited to know Pardew has a target of finishing above Sunderland next season?

I had been keeping a bit of trust in Pardew - not after coming out with tripe like that.

How can a manager with the players Pardew has at his disposal have such a spineless ambition for next season.

That is me finished with this man.

I want him out at the end of the season.

Enough is enough.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Lets just hope were in premier league next year, one result here and there from other teams and who knows?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ino it is stupid of him to say that as our real target is to beat them twice and finish in the top 7. He got us 5th though, so we should give him till december and if we not 9th or higher then he should be sacked.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dunno, I'd take finishing above Sunderland this season and next season. Probably quoted out of context as usual, I think what he is saying is we need to do a hell of a lot better than we've done this. - Specialist subject, the bloody obvious!
As always he can talk, but can he deliver? I think that depends on who he gets shot of and who he brings in frankly, but if he piles the dross like he's done this season - sorry, agree with the post above - out after Christmas.

We need to stop flirting with this 433 formation. We are too open and players just break us down. I was at both games last week - Benfica and Sunderland - and both games we never had anyone in the middle of the park!

We need to play 4231 so that we always have bodies in the middle of the park. i'd like to see:

KRUL

Debuchy STaylor Mbiwa Santon
Tiote Sissoko
Ben Arfa Cabaye Marveaux
Cisse

Cabaye and Sissoke need to swap roles as Sissoko is more of a Yaya Toure kind of player and Cabaye always performs stronger when he is in an attacking position. If tiote goes in the summer then Cabaye can drop back and Gouffran comes in just behind Cisse.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We've been playing 4-2-3-1 nearly every game? it doesn't work

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree cabaye is being played too deep, and sissoko and tiote I think would perform well together.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have been playing 4-2-3-1

We have not played 4-3-3 in months.

Agree0 Disagree0

The banter pages like nasty with these lines under each post.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are playing 4231 then why have we no one in the middle of the park? Our midfield is alwasy empty and the other teams just come straight through the middle at us.
