Newcastle United at best is at a standstill
with some people predicting or hoping a mid table or higher
finish is on the cards, there again we could struggle
due to lack of cover
As is we are doing better than most hopes for
so like always we wonder because there is no
certainty or positive plan just hope for the
faithful fans
No one takes any notice if Newcastle anymore
including Ashley as long as he can keep getting
money out if the club
We are in the Premiership & Ashley thinks
we fans should be grateful Sad but very true
January is the next catalyst & we will see
the hopelessness of a great club languishing
under a non descript and non interested in football
owner and Pardew pandering to him JFK &
Wendy w. er Taylor is a Disgrace.

We're in a bad situation that's for sure, but as long as the fans keep going to matches, keep buying tops, pints, pies and so on he will stay in charge and do the bare minimum to keep us up, anything more than 17th is a bonus to him. So, do we, A) Keep going, keep spending and keep the £'s flowing in? B) Boycott the club completely? Stop going to games? Stop buying anything at all? I'm sure there are alternatives but these 2 are the ones open to us in my mind. I saw pics in the Chronicle of people protesting wearing Wonga tops, I mean talk about stupid, we're no longer supporting the team when we go out and buy these things, the money is going to him and him alone, so I think some of us need to put our money where our mouths are. I'm going to be lambasted for this but it's true, we can sing on the terraces about how we want him out but the money it costs us to get in there to do it goes to him, he doesn't give a fig what we say. If we want him out we need a co-ordinated effort where we're all singing (figuratively speaking) from the same page, really doing something, nobody at the games, nobody buying anything, nobody talking about him or the club that way he'll panic, he'll come out and will have to try and fix it, he'll make amends and try urgently to sell the club before the damage is irreversible, what do you think?

Agree0 Disagree0

Totally agree JTG, while we fill his pockets he will go nowhere. Too many fans are screaming for him to sell up and then go to the match andbuy the goods pies/beer/football stuff from the shop and he is obviously just laughing all the way to the bank. Why not wait for a sky televised game and spend money in one of the umpteen pubs/clubs around the town showing the game? The sooner this clown goes then the club may move forward while we still have the basis of a good squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree. The more we spend at sports direct, newcastle, go to matches, ashley will just lap up the money and will not care, he's happy for us to just avoid relegation every season and not spend any money. let's just hope the talk of him selling up and buying rangers is true.

Agree0 Disagree0

So we are in a state of almost hopelessness as Ashley tries to dictate not only to NUFC and it's accommodating fans but the whole of football as some one said at the moment it is working and aspirations of a top 8 finish are on the cards
Personally I think not that I want it but the wheels will start coming off again in the not too distant future
A few decent results prior to January will satisfying this abomination of terrible owner with his pockets forever open BUT he could yet proves us all wrong.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopeless? Not quite yet, we can change his direction, if someone out there sees a concerted, organised, PEACEFUL effort to make change in a way that is truly beneficial to the club and has a clear aim in mind then maybe, just maybe they'll think we're worth investing in. If it's good, hard honest footy we want we're better in the Championship (best football I watched in years was our season down there), if it's playing the best, cup runs and squiilions of pounds then we need new owners and fast. Ashley is milking us. A question. Has he started repaying the loan he made to the club or is he skimming then when it comes time to sell up he'll take it then? Seems a bit unfair if so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes JTG it is called hopelessness in that it is hopeless whist Ashley owns NUFC

Forget politics or the fact he foolishly took on debts he knew nothing about
& blames everyone but himself

He will not accept what football is and that money needs spending & owners & players and managers ambitions to match those of the fans is needed so yes HOPELESSNESS is about the top of it
Unless as a fan you go along with this excuse for a man

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree vida, although I do not think ashley is going to be here for the next 5 or 6 years. He's using newcastle as a business, to help improve sports direct, and also to gain some profit for when he's ready to sell and buy rangers. But I don't think he's got a very clear message of how much we will give to get him out of the club. In Ashley's logic, as long as pardew and the team are doing well, the fans won't want him out and he doesn't have to spend money. I don't think one protest is enough, more and more should get the message across. and let's face it, if ashley does sell up, we can't get an owner much worse than him, whoever buys the club, will know of the high expectations for us to spend well and show ambition to bring us back to the days of KK.

Agree0 Disagree0

Couldn't agree more, maybe I didn't put it across quite as well as I could. If we put the effort in now then it won't be hopeless, if we sit back and do nothing then it is hopeless. The fans going along with him are those on the terraces (as we know 'backing the team' means backing him), those wearing Wonga tops and soon. I haven't been to a match in a long time and won't until he jogs on, the horrid thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yous are slating ashley all the time which fair enough I agree with everything you say he has no passion or intrest in nufc football club, but at least look at most of your performances this season as much as I hate to say this yous are getting good results and playing good football so I wouldn't worry too much.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney, yes we are playing some fantastic football and getting some fantastic results thanks to pardew and the players, but january is coming up and there will no doubt be bids for cabaye, and if he does go, we HAVE to replace him and we already need a striker, winger and centre back, but the worry is, with kinnear and ashley, will they buy anyone? I very much doubt it.

Latest news reported in the Banned Chronicle is that Newcastle now looking at striker incoming targets for the January window. Well let's get ourselves excited and lay off calling for Ashley to go and start putting names out who we would like, who has been linked and who is in talks, THEN on Feb 1st, start calling for him to go, shout no ambition and tell Joke Kinnear to f**k off. Because my friends, that's what will happen. I hope i'm wrong, but, can you honestly say that you believe anything positive happening in January UNLESS its to try and pacify the fans if big offers come in and we lose our better players ie Cabaye/Krul. I wait to see.

Nice to hear from you faircomment, just got back from brighton and i'm hearing that the financial structure will improve in the coming months and funds will be made available.

Loic Remy should be our top priority to get on a perm.
I think Kurt Zouma should be our top priority in terms of CB, despite him breaking a players leg, I rate him very highly and I think he's a very exciting prospect.
Tom Ince is also an exciting prospect and he could be available for just 4-6m which is a bargain in my eyes. A lot of people say whether ince is just another marveaux, but ince is 21 and got loads of time to improve.
We've been linked with Luuk De Jong on loan and Bafe Gomis (2m) don't want either of them to be honest. I'd take De jong but only on a perm deal. Gomis is 28 and is at his peak and hasn't been very good this season. I know its unrealistic but I really think Jay Rodriguez could be a good player here, he's young, english and has played well, but I doubt southampton will sell him and I don't think we'll pay the money.
