U heard them persons on tv being interviewed. (in toon tops)

"well he wasnt the worst manager we've had"
"He can't do any worse"
"Itll be good"

He knows more about football than anyone else at club. aaaaaaaaaarrrrrrgggghhhh I hate tbis crap And MA. I can't handle another s3ason like 2008. 9

I honestly can't support them anymore. After 37 years its impossible to do so.

I tell ya wat. I've narrowed it down why ma hates us so much. either he was bopped by a geordie as a kid. his pasty was stolen or he caught his mum being roasted by beardo and gazza

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Errrr, what?

I could not make head nor tail of that lol.

Just like mick McCarthy going back to Sunderland

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Only its not.

J. K is coming in to advise on transfers.

He is not going to be involved in the running of the first team.

Just because he is a bit of a dinosaur does not mean he cannot spot a bad player at our club that needs to be sold, any average joe could tell you which players at our club are not good enough.

Carr will still be doing what he does, Kinnear will just be helping out.

Kinnear is just a charming old bloke that has been given something to do, likely not on much money.

Most of the staff at Newcastle are Yes-men anyway, hopefully Kinnear will open his mouth and point at a few players that need to go, who knows, he may even point out that we need to be spending more on better quality players too.

Agree0 Disagree0

If final and definitive word on player in's and out's is not being involved with the running of the first team, I don't know what is.
As for his 'charms', he's a PR disaster. Who else would announce his appointment and remit before the club has spoken?
This will end in tears. Not surprisingly, Pardew is now 7/4 favourite to be first sacked. I see yet another wasted season.

Agree0 Disagree0

If every 'realist' on here can spot that Shola, Jonas, Obertan etc aren't good enough then so should the man responsible for transfers, ie Llambias. If it takes good old Joe to do some straight talking then hooray!

Newcastle have made their first signing of the season with 16 year old french striker from FC Metz, Olivier Kemen. He looks like he's got a bright future ahead of him!

sick of Ashley, sick of his poor running of the club all I can say is joe Kinnear is a piss poor person to have at the club, alan pardew must be totally fed up of you Ashley you have made him a no body now at this club hope you have the balls and resign pards

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why is everyone so worried about Pardew resigning all of a sudden?

I know this much, if he does then Kinnear will not become the next permanent manager. The same way he was not the permanent manager last time he was with us. He wouldn't even get caretaker this time around.

WTF did I actually just read that? Joe Kinnear to return to newcastle as director of football? PLEASE NO!! Ed, what do you make of this? {Ed001's Note - I don't know what to make of it. Came in from a day out with my daughter and thought I was watching a 'in this day' piece at first.}

Ed, anymore transfer news about Newcastle? I'm not worrying too much about the fact that we haven't heard any advanced talks or confirmed signings as Ashley and Llambias will probably want to keep the media out of it until we actually sign someone after what happened with Loic Remy. So i'd like to reassure any fans that are panicing about us not signing anyone at the moment because i'm pretty confident about the season we've just had, Ashley, Carr and Llambias will be rushing around to get some new signings in. I reckon we'll get one young, experienced and decent centre back and one young centre back (if colo leaves). Hopefully we'll get a proper left winger like Tom Ince or Dries Mertens or maybe move santon to right wing or left wing. And hopefully a decent young striker, and maybe another if cisse leaves.

I'd like to see this as our team for next season:

Gk Krul
Rb Debuchy
Cb Taylor
Cb M'Biwa
Lb Haidara
Cm Cabaye
Cm Sissoko
Rm Ben Arfa
Am De Jong
Lm Mertens
Cf Bony

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Why are you suggesting we need a young centre back?We already have one Curtis Good Australian International and played in a Wembley final

Cant believe what Kinnear's said in his interview, "I know more about football than anyone else at newcastle" HOW ARROGANT DO YOU WANT TO BE. The fact that he has the final say in transfers scares me. Does that mean we won't get players like wijnaldum, ince, bent, remy, sakho, and get players like jay spearing, tony hibbert, gary caldwell. He better give us good players and type of players that we actually need. I now have visions of pardew resigning and kinnear becoming manager in december.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

December?
Have you forgotten how Newcastle finished last season? Not saying they would have to win the first 4 fixtures (the fixture computer can be initially mean), but 4 lacklustre performances and Pardew would be a dead man walking.
I now see a pre-season bust up. Reckon Pard's is history.

when will fans wake up and smell the coffee selling players for load of money is not good for nufc its good for mike Ashley, you or I won't get a penny, if were lucky we will see a very small percentage reinvested in our team

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Apart from Carroll who went for a bomb we have not sold any players recently for profit.

Where are you dreaming this up?

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with last text. why do people go on about us selling our best players for loads of cash when we dont

Just heard jfk is back. Can someone please explain exactly what his role as football director entails and opinions on how fat ash can justify paying that mug wages when he is so tight? Use the money for a decent striker please

I see Kinnear is the new director of football. Alan must be chuffed to have such eminent support. There's vision for you.

So joe kinnear says he will have final say over transfers, haha that's made my night

Is someone JOKINGEAR, oh my gosh!

this club is a joke Ashley what on earth are you doing appointing Kinnear what good can he do for NUFC he is an has been I cannot see pardew being happy with this, hope pardew gives it to you over this can even see him walking out and we will end up with Kinnear in charge we really are a joke of a club, from a unhappy NUFC fan. TERRYNUFCFOREVER.

Just when you start to think Newcastle are building something positive for the future they go and appoint Joe Kinner as Director of football! Ffs what is the point in that, if we needed a Director of football then get someone good!

Why are we looking at Douglas now that Collo is staying. We have Saylor, Mapu why and Curtis Good with Perch as a back up. How many CH do we want? Time to get the young talent onto the front foot and Good has gained big experience from his loan spell. Is Douglas so much ahead of Good or is it agent talk has hyped him up. Perhaps those who are pushing for Douglas can make the assessment as I haven't a clue having not seen Douglas, but we do know that Curtis Good played a season under English conditions very successfully.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.

Colo and Taylor are known to miss quite a lot of games during a season.

Douglas would be back up and competition.

Lets not forget that Colo is only talking about staying for 1 more season.

Perch only has a year on his contract, and Williamson is interesting a few clubs this window.

Good is a rookie, to put it very mildly.

Agree0 Disagree0

In 2008/9 a "rookie" CH was the NUFC player of the season (Seb Bassong) so don't be so quick to put down the ability of Good to step up to the plate. Notice you didn't give any pluses for Douglas who is a rookie in terms of English football.

Joe kinnear again. Are they having a laugh AGAIN.

Joe kinnear. Need I say anymore?

Bloody hell now mad ashley is bringing back joe kinnear as director of football. charles insomnia all over again what a joke

What do people think of return of kinnear

Please tell me this story of Joe Kinnear being made director of football is a joke! What the h. is Ashley thinking of!! Does this mean that he will have a say on the players we buy ala Dennis Wise. The man is a complete dinosaur in footballing terms. Lord help us all!

So Joe Kinner is coming back into the club, That's it for me I feel like just giving up, Ashley has got to be on something because he can not be all there mentally. Really think the club will just go down and down if stupid stuff like this keeps going on.

BAWToon

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I don't think Kinnear is going to add anything to the club, but I don't think he will have a negative impact either, it is generally a waste of time.

The most important thing is getting results.

If we are winning games, who really cares.

Not a Newcastle fan, or a rumour, but I met Tim Krul at the Rihanna concert in London last night. Top class bloke! Very talkative with fans and I was lucky enough to sit with him.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Warned you Pardew haters last week that you might not get the manager yo u wanted - thought it might be Pulis or Curbishley, but KINNEAR? Only good thing is, he's talking about cutting thr crap and getting in the players we need. Pards to resign?

Agree0 Disagree0

Kinnear back as DoF - didn't see that one coming! Is it April 1st? All you 'Pardew out' men should be happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, he listens to awful music

sunderland fan here lads and I would be absolutely gutted if we had cabaye and decided to cash in Newcastle need to keep this lad and build around him only shining star in your team last season but like both our teams and the fan base we can both generate the lack of ambition shown at both clubs is unbelievable. what crowds would Chelsea Liverpool spurs arsenal get if they had shown the same ambition both sunderland and Newcastle have shown over the decades they wouldn't get 25k gates. keep cabaye and get the players he needs to play along side him or Newcastle might struggle again next season lads

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We have always shown ambition, even the season we went down we were spending on good players.

Cabaye didn't have a good season last season which is why some of us are happy for him to stay, or go for a big fee.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cabaye wasn't really the shining star it was more ben arfa and coloccini.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben Arfa? He was never fit! After reading that comment may I ask 'Are you Joe Kinnear?'

Just been watching videos of Younes Belhanda, BEAST PLAYER. Plays behind the striker, got fantastic skill and a great pass. He's also got a great delivery, I think he's the exact type of player we need, I think he's a bit more attacking than cabaye. Would love Belhanda, would cost around 9m.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree with Belhenda having a great delivery, but he can't last 90 mins!

Agree0 Disagree0

Good dribbler too.

According to some of todays papers PEA is being looked at by Spurs. Throw Monoco into the equation and our chances of getting him are slim to zero at best. If we can get Bent for 5/6 mill and he halves his wage demands, given his past goal scoring record he must be worth a gamble.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agreed mate.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bent wouldn't be a gamble, even - he's a proven regular goal-every-two games man, even in rubbish teams. Only problems are financial - fee, wages and length of contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think bent wants to come!

Gomis, the striker from Lyon is starting to get his name mentioned with English clubs again, smaller clubs than us too.

12m mark being quoted, we have known to be interested in the past, I wonder if we are tracking him but keeping it quiet - It seems every time we show interest in a player recently a few weeks later there are 10 clubs sniffing around.

I was looking at some odds and it turns out that Cardiff are the current favourites to sign Ince, surely we could steal a march on Cardiff if we really wanted.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yes spot on and the Kinnear thing is another kick in the stotts

Agree0 Disagree0

16 Jun 2013 09:07:38
Nobody knows with all the speculation who will be sold and who will be bought simply because we have an owner who is totally price orientated and Pardew backed by a clown Llambias who are too scared to give him a list of players the team needs whilst being devoid of a plan to come up with an efficient competitive team.

We will languish as just a runner in the Premiership as long as this apathy continues and read the same drivel every day.
