Newcastle haven't even decided on a transfer policy yet and signed that woman to help with injuries which means Ashley doesn't want to spend money on players and keep the same squad. Might buy some players to b put in the reserves
Believable0
Unbelievable0
No, it doesn't mean ashley won't add players to our squad. I'd bet my house on it that we will bring in 2-3 first teamers in time for final few games of pre season.

AP says on tv during motherwell interview
"we would like to get the ONE target over the line"
Great ONE!
Believable0
Unbelievable0
No shock here. When we don't get one over the line puppet Pardew will come out and say the squad is good enough for a top six finish. It's the same rubbish we are fed every window.
Agree0

Pointless post, another fan not wanting to give pardew or ashley a chance on the pitch and sorting out transfers.
Agree0
Disagree0
Why give Pardew and Ashley a chance they have made their own mistakes and driven this club into an also ran club with No ambition
Agree0
Disagree0
Why give Pardew and Ashley a chance? because THEY GOT US TO 5TH FOR CHRIST SAKE, DO YOU NOT WANT THAT? Or would you rather us be mid table and not achieve anything, just so you can moan all the time?
Agree0
Disagree0
The same combination nearly got us relegated. I CERTAINLY DON'T WANT THAT.

Less than 10 minutes into Vuckic first game back and he scores.
Maybe that will give the naysayers something to think about.
You were told this guy was good.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Even if he scores a hat-trick he won't be in first team by august and remember its Motherwell we are playing let's not get carried away
Agree0
Disagree0
Yeah this guy had Real Madrid Man United and Other top clubs after him before he came to us keep him fit and he gets game time then this boy will finaly blossom
Agree0
Disagree0
Against Motherwell?
Agree0

A goal against Motherwell in a friendly is hardly a sign he's top class
Agree0

We are playing Motherwell. Doing it in the PL is something different.

Its pre season v motherwell

Everyone knows he has talent, it's just how long he can last before injuring himself
Agree0

He scored 1 and set 1 up.
If he is not in the first team at the start of the season, he will not be very far away.
I fully expect Vuckic to finish next season as a regular in the team.
Motherwell are a difficult side to beat at home, so I wouldn't go knocking it.
The way I would like to see the team line up next season.
. Krul
Debuchy. Colo. Mbiwa. Santon
. Sissoko
. Cabaye
Ben Arfa. Vuckic. Gouffran
. Cisse

Motherwell finished 2nd in spl and are in europe not brilliant but not rubbish either

Very talented guy just needs to stay free from injury and he could fly.
Agree0

Are these supposed to be Newcastle supporters?
Our Prodigy scores 1 and sets 1 up in his first game back against the 2nd side in the SPL, and you want to knock him down?
Maybe some people want our lads to fail.
BTW: Go look up Motherwell's home record.
How pathetic that you would knock our best young player down and not even do any research on the team he was playing.
I honestly think a few people will feel upset if Vuckic breaks into the first team and is a roaring success, simply because they would rather see a player fail than they be proven wrong in their ignorant assumptions.

Team against Motherwell.
(4-2-3-1): Elliot; Tavernier, Williamson, Yanga-Mbiwa (c), Dummett; Anita, Sissoko; Obertan, Vuckic, Sammy Ameobi; Gouffran
Good to see Gouffran playing as the striker, it is about time.
All eyes on Vuckic, our prodigy is finally fit and ready to step up.

Would everyone be happy if we signed:
Bent for £5m.
Remy for £8m
Sinclair for £5m.
Kouyate for £4m.
Which is around £23m spent
Believable0
Unbelievable0
If we pay 8 mil for Remy I wouldn't bother going for Bent at 5mil. Would be worthwhile for less than 5mil though, good back up.
I still think Ince would be a lot better signing than Sinclair, don't really rate him. If he was good enough he would have had more games for city by now.

1st of august is when to panic about not buying anyone, not now. we will buy players, I wouldn't be surprised if we bought in 4-5 decent players if cabaye and cisse leave. But its so annoying, people just being soooo negative and miserable.

Give fans something, anything to be positive about and I am sure they would be. What your saying is all blind faith which I guess most realistic fans ran out of a long time ago.

Surely these players can't be here next season for goodness sake
Jonas Gutierrez
Shola Ameobi
Vernon Anita
Mike Williamson
Sammy Ameobi
Rob Elliot
Gael Bigirimana
Gabriel Obertan
Roman Amilfatano
Dan Gosling
If we keep players like this there will be no improvement what so ever we need to do what Sunderland are doing get rid of the dead wood.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Anita, sammy and Elliot are the only ones I would keep
Agree0

And Bigi as well.
Agree0
Disagree0
Anita is a quality player. He just hasn't been given a chance or has been played out of position
Agree0
Disagree0
Bigi was one of the few highlights last season, when he was played in the correct position (had a mare out on the right, I recall)
Agree0
Disagree0
Deadwood leaving Sunderland?one of the best GKs in Prem gone to Liverpool. Sunderland buying deadwood not getting rid of it
Agree0
Disagree0
Anita should be starting instead of Tiote, he is so much better on the ball. When/if Tiote wins it he then has no idea what to do with it.
You have got to keep Bigirimana and Sammi and even Jonas just for his team work and experience but the rest can go.
Agree0
Disagree0
Im being honest here sunderland aren't buying deadwood they are buying some quality and they are getting rid of deadwood Bramble Kilgallon Noble gone and Colback Bardsley Graham Cattermole Ji going
Agree0
Disagree0
Im a sunderland fan and I hope you's do keep Jonas because he is utter rubbish
Agree0
Disagree0
Jonas is a good player, but he gets leggy and tired and is useless when forced to play every game.
If Pardew rotates him, he will get the best out of him.

Would be happy if this happened, but with the way the transfer windows going it doesn't look like it.
Sell (47m)
Williamson (2m)
Obertan (1m)
Gosling (1m)
Jonas (2m)
Ameobi (1m)
Cabaye (24m)
Cisse (16m)
Buy (48m)
Richards (7m)
Eriksson (15m)
Hughes (7m)
Lukoki (3m)
Sinclair (5m)
Remy (6m)

Gk Krul
Rb Debuchy/Richards
Cb M'Biwa/Taylor
Cb Coloccini
Lb Santon
Cm Sissoko
Cm Tiote
Rw Sinclair
Am Eriksson
Lw Ben Arfa
Cf Remy
Thats a team that could easily get us into the top 8. Beast and fearless midfield in tiote and sissoko. Classy wingers of sinclair and ben arfa. Flair playmaker in eriksson. Quick, lethal striker of Remy. And Richards can compete for RB with debuchy and cover CB.

Really getting worried now. i'm dreading the new season were going DOWN.
When is Ashley going to put he's hand in he's pocket, even a finger would do.
We need at least five top players as we are getting left behind. We don't only need five players to compete at the top. We need five to compete at the bottom as teams like norwich villa etc are stregthening.
Our squad is not as good as some of you think.
Goalkeeper fine. Defence poor mbiwa potencial but that's it he's not delivering collocini the only one with real class. midfield ok but no width. cabaye will be sold rest are average to good. Up front cisse is class a goalscorer he needs service and a strikepartner.
Look at who norwich are signing NORWICH. Also southampton.
Sunderland have today signed Giaccherini. he's what we need. He is a top four player they are showing intent. he's a big step up in quality and that's what we are competing with. They have also bid fifteen million for insigne I think he's called italy u21 star.
Palace and hull are down its probably us 3rd bottom looking at current squads.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
God almighty that's sad
Agree0
Disagree0
Giaccherini is not a top 4 player at all. A good confederatiosn cup does not make a good prem player. He may turn out to be a good buy for them, but the terms of deal left Juve with no option but to accept. Rumoured £8m transfer and bettered his current wages for a 28 year old.
It could be a good buy for them, but as many know, we wouldn't go near such a player.
Agree0
Disagree0
Mackem aler unless its a toon fan with very bad depressiont. Giacherrini is a good buy, but the rest are averge, and there's no chance they'll get insigne.
I'm pretty sure there will be some negotiations gonig on, just wait and see and you will be proven wrong. We will finish top 10 minimum with the quality of our squad, it just needs to gel. you are the one who are judging our players just after 8 months. I reckon and hopefully we can challenge for a cup. Sunderland have more chance of going down, they are showing ambition but they are signing too many players, let alone them being average.
Agree0
Disagree0
''We need at least five top players''
No we don't.
At worst we need 3 players, at best 1.
Not even the worst doomsday prophets on here even think we need 5 top players just to attain survival.
If we add just 1 good striker, we will have a much stronger squad than the one that ended 5th.
Go look at our squad sheet, then get back to me.
Agree0
Disagree0
''Mbiwa potencial but that's it he's not delivering''
May I ask how many games you watched him in last season?
He played 14 games for Newcastle and was mammoth in 13 of them, only having 1 bad game.
Do you know how lucky we were to get Mbiwa?
He captained Montpellier to the Ligue 1 title over PSG, no easy feat let me tell you. He was wanted by some of the best teams in Europe and opted for us because of some excellent work by Graham Carr to convince him. Most people with a knowledge of the game thought Mbiwa was far too good for Newcastle, and some still do.
I wish people would not berate some of our top players. You are supposed to be a supporter.
If you have criticism and it is founded then fine, but if you critical of a player that has been oustanding, you really are not supporting your club or its players.
Agree0
Disagree0
Totally agree with this post, Ashley obviously HAS NOT learned his lesson off last season. Bottom 3 will be
Newcastle
Crystal Palace
Hull
When will Ashley, Kinnear, Pardew AND our blind fans, realise our players are average and slightly above average. Quality needed but as we all know, Fat man will NOT buy established players, not stars, players who have proved themselves in the premier league, Lescott, Milner, Bent, Shawcross, Defoe.
Agree0
Disagree0
Dont bet against bruce keeping hull up though he's a dab hand in the loan market
Agree0
Disagree0
We don't need 5 players, we are nowhere near as bad as Sunderlands squad is/was.
All we need is a creative left winger for the first team and any others would be back up.
Will admit our CM is not creative enough as Cabeye can't do it all on his own every game. But Tiote/Anita + Sissoko + Cabeye is a strong midfield. With Ben Arfa on the right and Cisse up front we are sorted. It's the left hand side that we need.
Playing 4-5-1 is going to be our best bet as midfield gets over-ran and by-passed.
Targets should be.
1) First team left winger.
2) Back up striker in case Cisse injured.
3) Back up GK as don't trust Elliot.
4) Creative CM (would love Verratti).
5) Any top young players in any position to try to break into first team.

We don't need a left winger. We have jonas

Goes to show how depressing Sunderland is as a club.
They sign a bunch of mediocre players and are worried, so they come on here pretending to be Newcastle fans that fear relegation.
Must suck to be a Mackem.
