Just a thought for the board to ponder. It strikes me that no matter what you do you have always seriously misjudged the feelings of your fans.

To sum up how we feel about I club is simple, we all think the way Sir Bobby Robson described football:

"What is a club in any case?

Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it.

It's not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes.

It's the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city.

It's a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father's hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love. "

Unless you realise this is truly the only feeling any supporter has for their club, then you will never be accepted, praised or even thanked by the people who provide the only means that your club can flourish: Us, your club's fans.

Yep absolutely right & it will Never change They know nothing about football and in turn NOTHING about fellings fans have

There can never be a debate about putting wrongs right because they would not know where to begin Which is by saying SORRY

From reading through the minutes from Monday night's meeting it seems next season will be very similar to this. Anybody who buys a ticket for a cup game wants their head testing.

Just read the minutes and think anyone going to any game next season needs their head testing!

Lets look at exactly what has been said:

Same manager, no tactical awareness, aggressive to opposition players and managers, and a yes man to the board. (BTW wasn't Carver our assistant manager also fined for a punch up this season?)

Transfer policy of spend as little as possible on players with a sell on potential. So no marque signings and definitely no established stars coming to SJP soon.

Looking at the press release when Charney was appointed, he states that the club will look for 1 or 2 players a season to strengthen the squad - good luck with that when you've got at least 6 vacancies in your squad this summer Lee!

We can't compete with other clubs in the top 6? How come we got 5th only 3 seasons ago then? Btw, ManCity and Chelski have rich owners but Arsenal, Liverpool and Man U haven't exactly broke the bank to get where they are. They did it by being successful in cup and league competitions and having youth systems that produce senior players. Makes sense to me! Advertising comes from success not from balancing books Mr Ashley!

No cup run priority next season? See above and let's be honest we all want to see some glory back don't we. Even if it is the FA or League Cup!

So next season in a nutshell is: let's stay mid table if we can with no investment in players and no ambition for glory in any competition. Sound really exciting for each any every Toon fan that, don't it?

Oh and let's not forget that the club is not up for sale at the moment so there's no chance of any deal coming together to change the club soon.

I shake my head in dismay at how the club I fell in love with, the entertainers that we were, has been hacked to bits by the current regime. Sigh!

Simple question, if club say they don't want progress in cups, why don't they offer tickets to home cup games for a fiver? I mean it's totally unreasonable to charge people over that if there is not intention to win a game.

or why enter the cups at all?
i mean, if by some very lucky results we get to the final, Pards will be called to the boardroom and be given the research statistics. basically they'll tell him to 'lose the game'.

So the club confirm what we all expected and that Pardew will be in charge season, that statistically as we are not a top 6 side then we have no ambition to win a trophy and therefore as we have a manager/coaching staff not capable of getting the best out of (and actually makes worse) players as well as a board not prepared to invest sufficiently in getting and keeping good players or a good manager capable of making us a top 6 side then as long as the club is owned by Mike Ashley we will never be good enough to win the league, be good enough to be a top 6 side and therefore never try to win a cup competition.
Bearing this in mind was part of the bonus for Pardew, the coaches and the players based on successfully NOT achieving a top 6 place and NOT winning the Carling or FA cup?
