if Jonas is going to play it has to be as a winger and not an extra left back, I think Santon is confused at times because Jonas is in the way...on Monday on a few occasions there was masses of empty space on the left but no Jonas

I think Jonas and Santon could work as wingbacks on either side tbh, both got good energy and workrate.
I know its a big change but i wonder if we could play a similar formation napoli next season.

Doubt we'd ever even attempt anything like that but would allow a lot of freedom for the front 3 and would hopefully give us some fluidity.

Didnt see Napoli getting "thumped into double figures" when they played at man city earlier in the season.
Yes they got thumped at chelsea, but as i said, if played right it can work.
P.s. We got thumped at Spurs(I know we were missing players but it still shouldnt have happened) playing 4-4-2, need to be brave sometimes and stop worrying about the opposition so much.

Parew said that Simpson was injured towards end of game against Arsenal but couldn't sub him as we had used all our subs. Well if my right back was injured 3 mins into added time he wouldn't be taking a throw in level with openents penalty area he would either be stood at right back ready to defend if he could or upfront with another player covering his position in case we got counter attacked which we did. Hopefully a lesson learned by all for future games. A great shame as we battled well and looked like we had got away with a point. Still couldn't understand why Cisse didn't come to give us an out ball into space or over the top with Ameobi trying to hold ball up we were playing in front of their defense which made it easy for them

Injured or not simpson shopuld not have been taken the throwin the 4 defenders should have been defending with Guthrie and tiote just in front of them..ameobi should have thrown the ball to Ba by the corner flag or back towards simpson then Krul. we should have settleed for a point
