Use our rumours form to send us newcastle transfer rumours.

What remy done is that he's flew to London, basically askin every prem club if they want him so there's the likes of Man U, city, Chelsea, arsenal who have all said no, he was thinking about qpr but he doesn't want to be in the championship so he's looking at all his options, even as bad as stoke before he finalised anything with newcastle. So basically he's weighing up the best offer between leauge position and wages

Believable0 Unbelievable1

Remy isn't coming, 'Arry said after yesterdays game the deal was as good as done.
Club will know this and they will already be pursuing other targets.

Looks like Remy is coming to Newcastle after all and the QPR speculation was just nonsense. It is believed Remy was simply going to London as well as newcastle to speak with harry, not necessarily to sign for them.

Apart from this, i am becoming very wary of the Fully African and French side we are developing. I personally would like to see some English players present. After all it is an english side.

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Well i think its sort of good that we're doing that, we need to gel as a team and africa nations and french have very talented players

Agree1 Disagree0

What crap what planet are you on

Agree2 Disagree0

Arry says he's going to qpr and he's snapped up m'villa aswel

Agree1 Disagree0

Comes to something when he would rather join bottom club qpr rather than the wee club from the north east.

Agree4 Disagree1

And yous paid for a first class flight for him LOL

Agree2 Disagree0

Its balances out as you lot paid for Cisse's. Thanks again.

if pardew and the rest of the regime think we can get away with untryed foreign players coming in then we are doomed these players always need time to adapt look at anita we don't have time we need tryed and tested players maybe good players from the championship even who can adapt quickly pardew and co wake up its time to act !!

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Cisse didn't need time to adapt. He was banging them in left, right and center from the word go.

Just a thought, if we could sell Krull and buy Buckland with 4mil difference in the bank which would then be guaranteed towards buying a decent centre back. Would you sell?

Glasgow rangers fan here just wondering your opinions on mike Ashley reports that he's negotiating to chane the name of our stadium. He's apparently bought more shares of the club. To me he doesn't seem to be a passionate owner more a Money grabber . I don't really want him up here he hasn't invested that much with you guys.

Believable5 Unbelievable0

His main aim is to market his retail empire in what ever way he can, that was why he bought us I believe.

Agree1 Disagree0

Same story down here most fans hate ashley but there is an annoying few who thinks the sun shines out of his backside {Ed007's Note - Well it's big enough.}

i think if we can't get remy then we should go for odemwingie and graham, 2 proven premier league scorers, for just 8m, plus graham is geordie and said it would be a dream come true playing for newcastle.
Then we desperately need 2 centre backs, isimat mirin and samba/sakho/mbiwa then possibly go for m'vila so we can play cabaye more attacking

Believable4 Unbelievable2

15 Jan 2013 15:02:10
Reports in France that remy has negotiated with three clubs Newcastle, qpr and a unnamed club and still is yet to make a decision, maybe is not all about the money. The people that say ashley been good for us, don't know what planet theere on. The best thing he's done has been he's balanced the book but we need a owner willing to go that extra mile to sign top players, not just putting a offer on the table and saying take it or leave it. Cb's we need one in fast. And I really doubt that we will get sissoko in other teams will ofer him better pay. We need to up a our wage cap. I'm dreading the day that arfa, cabaye ask for a pay rise.

I think we should put a bid in for Danny graham, he's like a good shola and is a geaordie to. Any news on this one?

Its all guess work, anyone can say we are in for David Beckham or who ever.
But at the end of the day the only person with the sterling notes has an idea who is going to bring in.
Never listen to the press or the man from the dog and bone, Northumbria Arms, Wheatsheaf etc. Just wait until you see him in a toon shirt holding up the team scarf.

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Well said, mate. Far too many knaa-nowts on here quoting knaa-nowt 'journalists' as if QPR and NUFC let the whole world know their pay-rates, etc. Nobody has any idea how much we offered Remy, and nobody knows how much QPR have offered. One made-up Daily Mail story and it's cut-and-pasted on every blog going. People should calm down, await events and see what happens. The last week is when players make their choices. The best players hang on hoping ManC, you or Chelsea come in with an offer. The second-best get offers from NUFC, but look at Spurs and Arsenal, and NUFC may have to settle for the best of the rest. It's called reality.

According to the Daily Mail we are trying to sign Siem De Jong from Ajax, about £9m. Fingers crossed but I'll believe it when I see it.

On Old Year's night I was in Wlaes and a friend was taking the pi$$ saying we were going down, which I dismissed. He reminded me of the same conversation last time and look what happened. My argument was that the difference is we are scoring goals this time.....we have not only stopped scoring but have stopped creating, I am truly worried now and if we go down this time we will be in there for a long time as we do not have the sort of player to get us back out again this time and even if we did we would be so far behind the rest of the PL teams we woudl be fighting relegation every week.

Why are we still looking at unproven players in the French market?
I said 2 weeks ago that we should be trying to sign Anichibe, pace, power, can play wide, geneuine goal threat and good in the air, all the things AP wanted. If we are prepared to spend £8m on a French player with a dodgy ticker, bad injury record, unimpressive goal scoring stats in a poor league why not offer Everton the same money for a proven PL player who twice this season has torn us apart?
Spire Toon

Believable1 Unbelievable2

I sincerely hope that Graham Carr does not spend all his time in France.

It is not like we are going to unearth anymore gems out of that league, every club is watching France now and we obviously cannot afford to compete with anyone else for players.

We should be taking a look at South American players, that is where Porto and Benfica look for players and everyone knows what kind of football Porto and Benfica play.

Agree0 Disagree0

Second Everton fan on here in a short space of time trying to stir up interest in there player... was bad enough when you wanted 6 million and now your asking for 8? jog on

Agree1 Disagree0

No not an Everton fan. Try a reasoned argument against my post instead of just writing pointless drivel.

We can't get the work permits as easily as the spanish/portuguese teams do for south americans

Agree1 Disagree0

Seems as if the nufc scout net is only cast in france and holland. i agree that they do need to look further afield. belgium seem to be creating some players with great potential in the last few years.

Agree0 Disagree0

My guess is that work permits are the problem which is why we concentrate on players in the EU

would anyone still take Remy if QPR got relegated and he was on a free?

Believable3 Unbelievable4

Why not.

It is the QPR fans that should have more problems with him than us, he actually wanted to join Newcastle for footballing reasons.

At the end of the day money talks and he is French after all, he did not come to England to play a hobby sport, he is here to play for his pension. (And footballers are retired a long time)

15 Jan 2013 08:04:13
we can all post our opinions about remy ... our beloved club etc etc but at the end of the day its down to the player if he's been offered more money than we offered well let him go move on to our next target ... me i have a punt on danny graham and odemwingie get two forwards in for the price of one... ok they aint prolific but at least we would have two more forwards ... geordie tom

Believable3 Unbelievable1

All day long, both proven in the EPL. Odimingwinge may be older but if his goals/assists keep us up so what. As for Graham, he is a Toon fan so woudl run through brick walls for the club. Won't happen though as they are not French or from Ligue 1 and despite what AP says the club are still in denial that we are in a relegation battle and think we are better than we are.

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Jan 2013 23:35:19
you can't expect a foreigner to sign for nufc for the love of the club,
they come for money and qpr have more than us and most teams.
its a sad state of affairs when football leagues are won by the team whos got the richest owner rather than the team with best local talent or a genius manager.its happened virtually every year since prem started maybe with the exception of leeds.and beleive me qpr will be up there in years to come with fernandez giving rednapp the relevent funds .

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Lets look at Remy's decision.
I have a dicky ticker, been injured most of the season, 26 going on 27. I can get £20k/£30k more.I can get a release clause if the team are relegated and the other club who want me are way up in the north of England well away from the glamour of London.
European football & 50000 fans does little to persuade a player hell bent on cashing in while the goings good.
We haven't lost out we just dodged a Viduka Owen bullit lets move on and get players who want to play for us and not those seeking a fast buck.
