when will people realise Jonas is not a full back, our defence is weak enough at times without making it worse

I think that Jonas is a better full back than the other options we have, and with both Taylor and Colo out I would like his experience in the back line.

Are you joking me?? Jonas doesn't have a clue at the back, I dont think he knows how to tackle, he REALLY doesn't understand what a left back does (he can get up the wing and put a cross in, like a left winger)... and the best option we have hahaa, are you forgetting we have two natural left backs Santon and Fergi?
and we also have Anita who can cover.
We are understafffed in def but by the sounds of it if you had your way you would have us understaffed in Mid aswel

The only left back we have is Santon. Ferguson to light weight to play there and Jonas is a liability. I wouldn't Jonas in the first 11 offers very little other than his work rate.

i know people are sick of hearing about demba ba's release clause in january. but what i cant understand and i guess iam not the only one is why we have allowed the player ( and his agents ) to hold us to ransom over the clause. once was bad enough ( in august ) but for the thing to activate again in jan (what a nightmare ) even though demba ba is a good player ( very good ) we should'nt have allowed it to happen . january sales come Ba will be gone then we will be left with cisse up front ( i dont think we will get anyone in then ) 7 million for BA which he and his advisors get half of . so where are we gonna get a forward as good as him for 3 and a half mill ? .question for ED . this clause does it only activate for teams in the champions league ? geordie tom {Ed003's Note - as far as I'm aware,yes}

I think the club are cool on ba leaving, cisse and ba don't get on. for the recent international ba travelled their with moussa sow and kept tweeting that they were together on the journey to senegal. i would have thought if they were even slightly close, they would have travelled together.
sooner this saga is over, the better for the club. it seems to have unsettled the squad a bit.
maybe the other players will ask for clauses in their contracts from now. {Ed055's Note - maybe it was a case of ba couldn't afford first class as he hasn't has his pay rise he has been after lol

Bent up for sale? In that case I think we should happily snap him up in January, clinical finisher and can sometimes play on the wing. 3rd striker or if Ba goes (which I hope won't happen) then Bent would be the perfect replacement. Also I think we should go for Zaha as well, if we don't get a full back then play Jonas left back and zaha on the left wing

Why would Bent leave Villa because he's the third choice striker there, to come to us to be the third choice striker here? I can see the idea he'd come here, but I'd rather not. Plenty more talented cheaper strikers elsewhere.
