Shola has come out saying the team expected players in before now. So even the squad wants players in. I hope we get some players in and Ashleys not just going to gamble again, but it looks like that's what will happen, with kinnear as the fall guy when it goes wrong.

astonished by the spending power of some of the so called smaller clubs Swansea £20.4m, west ham20.5m, norwich £21. 67m, southampton £19.8m plus Oswaldo 12m =31.8m! then Tottenham £36. 894m and lastly Man City £89m the expenditure is scary must be a day of reckoning sometime!no wonder mike Ashley tries to keep a lid on our expenditure even with new tv revenues its all gone mad. Anyone heard of an offshore transfer fund called VUCAN which apparently some of the smaller clubs are using. Only read this somewhere on the internet so don't know if its true or not but did wonder how they were managing to finance these huge outlays even if the money is paid over several years not upfront like us

PSG want Cabaye AND Debuchy. I'd let them go but but only for £50m the pair, not that they are worth that much but PSG can afford it. Santon to play RB, Dummet left back and we have Mbwia who can play either side too. With the money sign Alderwield, Siem De Jong, Eriksen. No need for a striker, Cisse/Remy/Gouffran/Shola is enough when Pards is obviously planning on playing 4-3-2-1 this season.

I'd sell debuchy for at least 9m. cabaye at least 22m, then i'd replace them with Richards, maybe huddlestone, mccarthy, alderweireld
Are you absolutely mad! cabaye, in the grand scheme of things is 15mil-20mil TOPS, and debuchy (who in my opinion is a liability in defending) will be 8mil.

psg considering offer 15. 5 for cabaye! tv. think we should of sold cisse and maybe still should and replace with two others, should of done deals earlier on other striker targets, no other clubs coming in for him? why not, can't understand offside and can't play with another striker to create parntership, (like BA)
Cisse is a class player, he just needs decent service.

He was playing rw/lw in favour of shola upfront at times. aswell as being told to drop back and defend then play rm. Cisse should be nowhere near the half way line. Keep him upfront and get a ball to him inside or just outside the box and he will score more times than not.

Cisse is quality but can't play the lone striker role, needs a partner or attacking wide men in a front 3. yes he was a web site, but a lot of the time he was onside and had some bad decisions go against him

I think i'm kind of getting the idea that the club are going to be trying to bring more youth players through this season like Paul Dummett, Bigirimana, Sammy Ameobi, Vuckic, Curtis Good, James Tavernier etc. rather than just buy decent players

I know people have split opinions on him because he left us and there's something mysteriously dodgy about his knee but could we not go for demba ba? Chelsea Don't really want him and we already know he would probably play for us again. He's already proven that he can score goals as well. West ham are interested but they have to offload some players go make money to sign him whereas we have tthe advantage of being able to bid now.

I came on here this morning to make the very same point. I'd welcome Ba back with open arms. If we can forgive Remy (and we can and should) we can forgive Ba.
I would take him back like a shot and put some pressure on Cisse to at least learn the offside rule. Ba supported by Remy and HBA would be superb and losing him and relying on Cisse in the second half of last season was a major factor in our struggles. If we had kept Ba and with the winter recruitment we would have finished top 10 with the extra goals he would probably have scored. We did not let pettiness stop us signing Remy so we should not let it stop us signing Ba. If West Ham get him it will be a real kick in the teeth. As for his dodgy knee. what dodgy knee it has been fine for 4 seasons now.

I would not want him back. He is a very lazy player and contributes little to nothing to the team.
He has not lost form at Chelsea, he has just been found out. We played 10 men behind the ball to set that lazy lump up to score goals, and he repaid us by jumping ship to Chelsea.
Truth is, we were too big a club to be playing our whole team around him, not him too big to be playing for us.
Let him go to a bottom half of the table team and let him lummox around, that is all he is good for.

I don't know what's worse.
Turning on the TV everyday and seeing that we haven't bought anyone or seeing that we still haven't managed to get rid of Obertan.
It's shocking players like him that are holding back young player coming through. He is a total waste of space.
