Remy has made it clear that Newcastle is his preffered move
Agree3

Eds, who you would say is in front for the signing of Moussa Sissoko? Newcastle or Sunderland? Funny how they're always linked with the players we scout.. Maybe they can't afford a scouting department. After all, they barely fill their stadium, even for huge matches {Ed001's Note - Newcastle have an advantage, they already have a French contingent to help a new lad settle in. That can be a huge pull to a player moving to a new country.}

Hahah Brilliant post.
Sunderland read the papers and go after any players we show any interest in.
We were the first ones to show interest in Larsson, Whickham, Fletcher, Adam Johnson etc.

Or do follow our scouting system - wake up man and stop just reading your mag propaganda !
Agree0

Well want does that tell you ? maybe its the agents using it to get the best price for the player or its people on here and other sites writing crab are we the only club with scouts ? at the end of the day we always seem to get the player but do they stay more than a couple of years before moving on to so called BIGGER clubs

OR is it nufc chasing all players which safc sre in for ?

good news to wake up to about remy can anyone or ed shed some light on if he's europa league tied with playing for marsille? {Ed001's Note - he has made 7 appearances for them in the Europa League this season, so he will be cup tied.}

Can remy and debuchy play in Europa ?
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Remy can't, he's already played for Marseilles in the Europe League.
Debuchy can, as he's only played in the Champion's League for Lille this season.

Been looking at remys stats, theyre actually pretty crap... Well not crap but i expected them to be alot better.
Up until Nov 2012 he made 196 Apps and scored 71. that's over 9 Seasons. which averages 7.8 goals per season
Believable4
Unbelievable1
Form is temporary, class is permanent. Remy is quality player just a bit off form but a change of leagues will help him.
Agree0
Disagree2
196 apps is very vague, do you know how many of those apps were as a sub?
Minutes per goal is the real stat, not apps per goal.

really not fussed about tomkins... would be more inclined to buy mbiwa or bong from the continent, much cheaper, and a lot more versatile
Believable4
Unbelievable1
Mbiwa would be coup of the season.
He is expected to go to a top champions league club.

it will be great to see Remy come in but.. unless we play a more attacking game there will be no point. IE Santon goes forward with the ball Jonas instead of going forward and outside of him mostly goes back, Santon gets isolated. crosses into the box usually have 1 at a push 2 Toon forwards waiting for it, we need anita cabaye and marveaux running at people and slipping 2 or 3 yard passes into the penalty not trying 40 yard passes and hoping it might split their defence...and Finally don't get me stated on corners and free kicks (even throw ins we seem to lose the ball within seconds of a throw in)

L remy 23 games 3 goals, 1 assist in a poor lge 8.3 mil absolute bargain for this red hot striker
Believable4
Unbelievable2
Form is temporary, class is permanent. A change of leagues will get him good again. he's almost top class, so 8.3mil is a bargain. Would rather have remy than pay 14m for steven fletcher.
Agree1

He's not a striker
Agree0
Disagree1
It's not unheard of for players to be at a club, start well, and then become disillusioned and need a change in scenery. He's still a top top quality striker. Strikers sometimes hit a bad spell of form, and then move to another club to suddenly become prolific.

Good on you Pards excellant signing.
Agree1

He's supposedly the new thierry henry but might have lost his way in France. Fletcher's record speaks for itself 2 teams 2 relegations overpaying for that class of player will come back and haunt the mackems.
Agree2
Disagree2
He has a very similar style to Henry, plays on his toes and looks dainty with the ball, he loves to take players on.

not been stupid here a couple of posts below said we should of signed bassong from when we had him on loan.......we signed bassong but he wanted away after one good season and we sold him for really good money to spurs and he was rubbish for them so they got rid....does this sound right edd....k {Ed001's Note - they got rid because he was out of the team and looking to leave for first team football.}
Believable1
Unbelievable2
There's nothing to suggest he would've come back though, he deserted us cos we got relegated, without really establishing himself a PL player. He may have found it difficult to admit he was wrong and come back had we offered the chance.
Agree1

Bassong has been quality for norwich, we should try and go for him at the end of the season.
Agree2
Disagree2
We signed bassong on tribunal for 500k and sold him for 8m good business there and now how much is he worth 4-5m

This is what Alan Pardew had to say in the Sunday Sun today:
We are not pursuing just one player, it's three or four, and they all seem to be warming up a little bit. We need a bigger pool of players and we will try to deal with that in this window.
I sincerely hope this is true, we seem to have been getting mixed messages from the club recently but this has been said and put out in the open now.

Dont think we should go for tomkins, west ham said they rate him at 10m which is completely overated but we could offer Simpson but it will only drop 2m off tomkins price. I reckon we should go for Isimat mirin 3m and okore 5m. Then we should sell Willo in the summer and possibly coloccini then get mbia if qpr go down.
Believable2

Mirin for me, I like Tomkins but really can't see he is worth that amount of money.
